I was there he did not kill anybody ,he just jumped into the crowd and hit some loudmouth ,the guitar belonged to this guy in a band called Wire Train and Thunders pawned it the next day .
@lunaj97 oh it bothered him alright, he just put his emotion in his guitar rather than yelling out and killing a mother fucker haha. its beautiful what a guitar can do for someone.
@PsychadelicElephant Ha Ha I was living in the bay area when it happened and I knew people who were at the show and they said they saw him hit some dude with his guitar and supposedly the guy died at the hospital. Now obviously the part about the guy dying isn't true. I was being a troll with my original comment stupid.
@enolapayback That is not a fact, I've heard that story too. The guy got seriously fucked up but did not die and everybody knows that. What do you get out of telling stories like that? I really don't get it?
@enolapayback That is a terrible philosophy. The only thing that matters in this world is the truth and facts. I'm a believer in truth being stranger than fiction anyways...I've heard some Thunders stories that are true and so crazy you knew they couldn't be fiction. For instance the story Wayne Kramer tells about how Johnny ripped off a theater manager that hosted the site where Gang War played. Johnny took a couple of grand from his office and the cops came. Off course Johnny wasn't caught.
@Flipper79able I was just kidding, that's a line from "The Man Who Liberty Valance".
I saw the Dolls at the Matrix in '73 and the Heartbreakers in '78 at the Mabuhay and Johnny w/ the Black Cats at the Stone in "86, even though the Black Cats split after the show in Palo Alto the night before because Johnny had supposedly been clean but relapsed during the show ! So he played the Stone in S.F with a pick up band, it was horrible.
