That's her. Her name is Amanda Peterson and she also used to be on a short lived show called "Boone" and "A Year In The Life" with Sarah Jessica Parker.
I did notice that when Ricky starts but then stops, I always wondered if Derek falling back on that chair wasn't supposed to happen like that, and if it happened in the rehearsal. I think that it was a good moment....and I love how Jason Bateman bounces back, I recently watched his last episode last week as Derek Taylor when he had to leave for St. Louis it was really good at the end when he and Ricky hugged, apparently it's on a website that airs classic shows
The episode is called "St. Louis Blues" it's in the second Season but it's not on You Tube, and so far the 2nd season isn't available on DVD yet and probably won't be ever, cause sale for the first weren't as good.
You didnt sound offended, but if i did offend you my bad. In Virginia we have a slight southern slang and we talk fast as hell. It was just weird to hear idear thats all.
This came out when I was 11 and they were twelve. I used to like Ricky back then but now I can't imagine how I didn't see the hotness that is Jason Bateman. Yeah, looking back at these the way I think of him now makes me feel dirty or something, lol.
I used to like Ricky too, but Jason did caught my attention and never forgot his face because he was so great in Silver Spoon. I now absolutely love him, he's great!
Rick was reported to have a huge problem with Jason Bateman stealing Rick's spotlight everytime Jason made a better joke than him. He was completely jealous of Jason. So at the end of the 2nd Season, Jason's Derek character exited out and the beginning of the third season Ribeiro became Rick's second friend.
I heard that too. And Jason did steal the spotlight. He was one of the most talented child comedic actors I knew of back then. I used to have a major crush on him. I didn't like when Alfonso came in (and jason got the boot) but actually, Alfonso was pretty funny too. He didn't steal scenes but he was descent and kinda held his own.
Both Jason, Alfonso, and Ricky made it so they should be thankful for the show itself. It was really their starting part in their careers. It is interesting to noticed that it was rumored that Ricky Schroder's own mother asked for Jason Bateman's character to be written off and the producers agreed on her wishes.
Ricky Schroder is from Long Island. What did you expect? We all have our accent pronounciation with words. New Yorkers still pronounce "House-ston" instead of the Texan "Hous-ston". It is really common with different cultures we come from. Hell, I still pronounce "idear" and I'm from New York, too. :)
It comes from British English. Have you ever noticed that Brits will say, for example, "Ameriker" In Ameriker there is currently a crisis.... Sometimes the "a" ending can sound like an R.

Jason Bateman was a hottie. I liked him then (I was about 10/11 at the time) but not as much as he actually deserved.

Oh, that blonde girl looks like she's the same girl from "Can't Buy Me Love" that came out in the mid-80's.

You know you T.V.!
I believe she's from Colorado, or I remember something like that when "Can't Buy Me Love" came out into theaters. I was a kid then.

Thank you! I loved that movie. I had a huge crush on Patrick Dempsey back then, but I'm not a Grey's Anatomy fan now. :)

It looks like 4:59-5:04 was a total accident....Ricky breaks character and tries not to laugh and Jason bounces back as a good actor does...

Growing up I thought both Jason Bateman and Rick Shroeder were both equally cute. Now, I must say, Jason is definately aging the best.
