  • god damn, Jerry. you have some white shoes.

  • Thanks for uploading this! I remembered it at 1am and had to see it again xD

  • Who's the spitter hiding in the bushes?

  • @Scorp308 Keith Hernandez explained later in the episode that the spitter was Roger McDowell (he had played for the Mets at the time). Newman and Kramer admitted they were cursing at him all game, so McDowell took his revenge on them. :)

  • @amirsabanovic Cool, thanks.

  • the amazing thing about how brilliantly they filmed the Zapruder portion of this is that upon the first viewing I did not even notice Roger McDowell (who is clearly visible during the recounting to this scene). It's a credit to how arresting a physical performer Michael Richards is, as well as how brilliantly this is all constructed, that my eyes never left the foreground...

  • Newman looks fucking hilarious in a baseball cap.

  • My dad use to say that it took 30 years after the most tragic historical events for this joke about JFK to come out. It's also funny to see Newman to be portraying the same character as he did in Stone's movie "JFK ."

  • HAHA... "I'M HIT!" and his reaction is priceless.

  • I can still remember collapsing on the ground and thumping the ground in hysterics when I first watched this scene . . . one of the very best . . .

  • Unfortunately the immutable laws of physics contradict the whole premise of your account.

I'm going to use this line wherever possible forever.

  • Classic

  • I'M HIT!!!

  • Back and to the left

  • I think that the game is irrelevant here...parody on JFK scene is much more important

  • lol

  • Checked out the 1987 Mets. Turns out they didn't even play the Phillies on June 14. Truth be known, they won at Pittsburgh 7-3. I figured the part about Keith Hernandez was made up, but I wondered if they had the opponent right. Nope.

  • @hersheybarblues Wouldn't have been pretty cool if there had been an actual game between Mets and Phillies on that day. But still, an epic episode anyway. :-)

  • @amirsabanovic *Would have been...
