you can have 3 provinces by the end of turn 2 with oda, making them the easiest faction to play on legendary. Turn 1, ignore rebels and send damyio, 2 yari ashi and bow to rush mino at north, (4 units is just enough to keep order with taxes off.). Build bow ashi in all provinces and end turn. Turn 2 rush the tokugawa province and ignore their main army (rebels should be defeated when they siege your castle.) When you take the tokugawa capital their army disapears... now you have perfect start.

I found the Oda campaign to be relatively easy, especially compared to the Takeda campaign. It's probably due to the fact that ashigaru units are waay better from the clan bonus. I went "Russian mode" on all other factions and just through wave after wave of them at my enemies!

I tried the Tokugawa clan on Legendary this morning. It took six separate restarts of trial and error JUST to get past the first two turns. After that, things went great! Absolutely great! Then I discovered the AI used the fact trade agreements show more about your clan than you perhaps first expected. >.> before I knew it, every single neighboring clan, including my allies AND the Imagawa clan, to whom I was a vassal, declared war on me!

I'm now waiting for four armies to come and kick my ass.

@JawidM Well, generally, if they are behind your men and shooting over their heads, they will probably be shooting your men too. There is also a little icon on top of your dudes head in the card area that will flash showing that htey are getting shot at, and you can probably deduce whether its your men or not.
