Hi Ry: despite the iffy weather you managed to get some nice action shots which others seemed to miss on this tour. Well done as ever. Alan & Margaret. P.S. take a look at SkipW channel, they film quite differently in the States to us!
@Steamclips I've noticed it with many as some punters wasn't so lucky, mind you having not been on this line before it wasn't easy finding a spot on the return working up till finding a spot outside Charlbury (the last shot of the film) so really it was quite a close call despite a mixed weather reception. I really like mid Cotswolds as its really scenic
A coincidence over the Basildon troughs location - the site at Shorthampton location isn't far from the Chilson troughs fed from the Evenlode at Charbury
@MarvinMarmot Oh really?? That was something I didn't know thank you for telling me that. If only the the troughs were still around but then again it would mean I could'nt chase steam any further
@collieultimo Its funny but ironic you say that as this was my very first time visiting the Cotswold Line so it was all unknown territory, the last shot of the film was a last resort while struggling to find a spot outside Charlbury
Another quality production on what was another fine run by 5043 Ryan. I see you chose this trip rather than the mis-match double header that came down your way. I also turned out for this one and in your opening shot at Moreton In Marsh am stood on the bridge in the distance wishing I was on the crossing where you are.
@1Z64 This run with Edgcumbe was my first choice to get as it was more important and exciting for me to get, I really didn't wanna get 5029 doubleheading with the A4 having been there and done it. The crossing would've been a problem if you was on the opposite side of where I was as there were families with excited loud kids that would've blighted your soundtrack

Excellent video, thanks for sharing. I was on the train and 5043 put in a faultless performance, touching 80 mph at one point.
