This brutha can dance. I remember him from soul train back inda day, but this is not the Charlse Washington who came up with the robot, it was the other 1!
I wasn't planning on watching this clip since i clicked on it by accident but once i saw the first few seconds my Jaw dropped. Words can't describe what this guy was doing.
His style reminds me of the Lockers in regards to dificulty . I wonder if the wide varity of dance style was by accident or they wanted it like that?
Thank God for you-tube. Can't believe the TV keep showing us all that reality garbage when they could be showing us this stuff.
I never knew this guy's name but growing up he was one of the best dancers during that time. He was off the chain! That flying ass jeri curl going everywhere and all.I used to love to see him pop
@DominoDee well i know this dude from soul train taught micheal the robot then jeffrey daniels from soul train///shalamar taught micheal jackson the back slide which is now called the moon walk..i guess to make the long story short all his dances(latest) were influeced from the west coast dance scence
Damn, this guy and the dominoe bros. were such an influence on my popping back then. love 'em. thanks for the memories and sharing your talent and passion.
PHENOMINAL! OMG them Katz use to get down back then. Dude was in the same dance group as Rerun from "Whats happenin" alot people didnt know dat, I betcha
@atlmycity2 I don't remember Charles ever being in the lockers but I think he was in a dance group call Captain Crunch and the Funky Bunch if I'm not mistaken.
always ..always used to wait for the soul train line for this very reason...charles washington he punchline is this...he did these dances in tuxuedos...amazing alot of brothers used to talk about him like a dog they used to hated on him but he brought that west coast pop lock feel to the show very incredible dancer soul train should have never went of the air..says uzipolo king of decatur
This song is jus ridiculous - it's one the very best of anything ever done. The vocal work is simply outrgeous. The backing music track is wild. Luv this one. If you wanna dance to it you can, but ya bettah be reh-day to do some serious work-out moves.
lol, ohhh yeah, i sware to god i remember this dude in the 1980's SOUL TRAIN era, im 37 years old, so i was a teenager in the 1980's watchin soultrain, because me & my friend was into HIPHOP dancing, i even got some old VCR tapes from back then 2 proove it, and that guy in the video is on a lot of my old VCR TAPES, lol, me & my friends used 2 always say, "THAT BLACK DUDE WITH THE JERRY CURL IS NICE IN DANCING". this is a 100% true story.
