I'm thinking the syntax has changed in Googles serps.
I've seen plenty of successful vids doing other stuff, but this doesn't work

FYI: The code example in this video's description contains "smart quotes" which must be replaced with straight quotes before the function will run in Google Spreadsheets.

Even though the commentary in this video sounds like "PPPeter PPPiper PPPicked a PPPeck of PPPickled PPPeppers," it has in fact brought some very powerful tools to my attention.
The example you've shown only scratches the surface of what "Google Apps Script" is capable of. After browsing the documentation for only about 5 minutes, I realized Google allows you to write custom scripts that not only scrape data, but will also run automatically on regular intervals...and even email you the results.
