New bore, guides, 14+ rectifier output and a couple of fresh clutch plates and cleaned tabs on the rest. Trying not to blame I assumed the "rebuilt" head was done correctly. No loss no the time is past and the motor is set up for a good season or two, now to go get the fair ground ticket the gov calls road insurance! LOL!

Sorry to hear about your dad. You're doing the right thing by keeping the BSA as a rolling memorial to him. It sounds great.

The microphone wind setting ruined the sound a bit but it was running 95% and idles well...actually better than ever. No rattling valve train noise.
