  • love it!!!!

  • This band is still performing. I just went to one of their concerts and I was just incredibly happy with their performance. Their 9 member group just gives every song a very powerful punch unlike any other band.

  • Its all good! horns ..words..and rythum..where did music like this go..the artists today should listen to this riff..my bad they do not have a clue..

  • Jim Cramer sure doesn't know what time it is. He is still hawking stocks on CNBC.

  • perfection

  • OLD SCHOOL FTW

Owner of the disc set bundle.

    VVVVVVVVVV

  • "Chicago" Rocks....thru the ages!

  • What's to not like! : 16 ?

  • I can't believe that everyone doesn't know who Chicago is...

  • Great to have a band with a horn section.

  • Who here was born after 1990 and still loves this song and this band?

    *raises hand

  • Chicago's best song and singer.....

  • Why isn't Chicago in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

  • What is it about some of these songs by Chicago that to this day still make makes me well up with tears of happiness?? Great tune...Amazing band!

  • Damn! I hated this song when it first came out in 1970. Son of A gun , it grew on me and I started to sing it when learned the words. Still love today

  • Love sent me here.

  • Early 70's there was Blood sweat & Tears, Chase & CHICAGO......

  • Get these guys into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

  • Wow they sound really good live!!

  • great song, really another example of good music period.

  • Termite30, this was one of hottest groups of the 70's. i'm black but i was proud to introduce all my people to Chicago. i allways loved their sound.

  • Now these are musicians !

  • what true piece of art

    love it!

  • Have you notice that people who comment on Chicago, do it without vulgar lanquage. Classy bunch of folks. We are from the old school.

  • @mydogblue1 Eh i wouldnt say classy folks more of less conflicting people. Now if you all listened to some Charlie Steinmann Orchestra then ya would be some classy motherfuckerss :D

  • @mydogblue1 OF COURSE!! HALF OF THE TEENY-BOPPERS OUT HERE HAVE NO CONCEPTION OF HOW TO CARRY THEMSELVES TODAY. LET ALONE THE MENTAL CAPACITY TO TRULY UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH MUSICIAL TALENT THESE GUYS HAVE. JUST SEND THEM BACK TO "FACEBOOK!!"

  • CLASSIC! Ecclectic mix of it all!

  • Great song to have in the back ground while cillaxing and medicating. Overall and universally speaking, does this song represent the forward thinking of this band? Thanks for posting this and giving my head something to think about in stereotypical way. Onward I stumble!

  • Un éxito del '82 de esta incomparable banda, dedicada a mi amigocha de Mexicali!

  • This song is great!

  • Dear whoever recorded this,

WAY TO FOCUS THE CAMERA ON THE TRUMPET SOLO!!!!!!!

    Sincerely,

    Angry Trumpeter

  • @npianomann It is no big deal, just one of the most iconic 8 bars of trumpet playing in the history of rock and roll. I would much rather see wide shots of the band and James Pankow (trombone player) in his leather pants.

    Sincerely,

    Another Angry Trumpeter

  • Man, I am so glad my dad had me growing up listening to classics like this!

  • chicago has got to be one of the best instrumental bands ever to preform live!

  • The name is ironic... because its in 5/8, 4/4 (3/8 for a second) XD

  • Talk about upbeat. A great (timeless ; ) message.

  • I've been listening to this band since the early 70's and nobody, and i mean nobody can match their talent! Incredible musicians and fantastic songwriters. This band is truly one of a kind. I've seen them in concert 5 times and they never fail to impress. Long live Chicago!!!

  • I've heard of Chicago, but I've never listened to there songs. I stumbled on this one, flipping through radio stations. I loved it so much, I had to find out who the artist was behind it, which brought me here. If any of their other songs are half as good as this one, I'll have to check them out ;)

  • @Termite30 Same happened to me about 40 years ago. I guess you'll be here for a while...

  • @juantoletemex Been loving their music 40 yrs too, and counting !!!

  • @juantoletemex I started listening to Chicago back in the 70s and also look them up as chicago transit authority , i've found them listed that way too . They are awesome.

  • @juantoletemex about 42 yrs ago for me...

  • @Termite30 I still have all my vinyls of their stuff. 'Saturday in the Park" is a good one.

  • @skaha77 Thanks, I'll look it up :)

  • @Termite30 If you leave me now, and 25 or 6 to 4 are good and they are on the list on the RHS here. Just follow the dots, and you find lots oa great stuff. Sometimes you get remakes. There's onm clip of Chicago's "I been Searchin' for so long" and in that cli[, you are looking out the window of a 767 in flight from San Antonio, to Denver and the off again. Great clip

  • @skaha77 Thanks for the suggestions. I've heard 25 or 6 to 4 before, but I didn't know it was performed by Chicago, lol. That's a great song :)

  • @Termite30 If you google 'Chicago double album' you might find a list of the songs on that set. Most prob on U tube somewhere. 'Saturday in the Park' is a classic, too

  • @Termite30

Chicago was a song machine back in the day -- lots of their songs are great.

  • @Termite30 Tive o Previlegio de ver Chicago ao vivo inesquecivel...

  • @Termite30 Same here, just today.

  • @Termite30

welcome to the world of Chicago my friend....

  • @Termite30 You have about 100 to look forward to, man.

  • One of favorites with a great message.. with lyrics that are clear and well enunciated..hint-hit to all the mumblers. ;)

  • I wonder who inspired whom first; Chicago or Steely Dan? This sounds like a song steely Dan would perform. Just saying.

  • @kja427 no offense but steely dan shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentence with chicago (i know i just did it)

  • I lost my watch, so does anybody know what time it is?

  • Uh, yeah the time is, uh, let me check. It's 25, or 6 to 4.

  • THE SOUND 100.3FM...kickin ass with this album right now...lol

  • One of my favorite songs, I saw Chicago about 7 years ago in Green Bay, Wi along with E.W.F it was an awesome concert. However, I was very disappointed in the turn out of people. It has to be very heard for a group to give their all when the venue is not even close to being full. That didn't stop em true professionals. They put on a great show. People have to understand that bands don't always have all the original members, people die, people leave keeping the sound is what matters.

  • I COMMAND YOU IN THE NAME OF LUCIFER TO SPREAD THE BLOOD OF THE INNOCENT oh my god chicago kicks ass im sorry i couldn't help it :)

  • @Clonetrooper145 the real power is Jesus, lucifer s name means nothing

  • @55102 Amen, Brother!

  • I love how every time I play this song and lock my ipod, it says "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?" right below the time xD

  • Great Song !

    Brilliant !

  • Esta rola es una chingonería.. hace más de 40 años que escucho este tipo de rolas y cada vez me gustan más...

  • One of my favorit songs!

  • Who is Bobby giving the thumb to?

  • @MrJchane Probably the monitor-mix guy.

  • Thats one heck of a song intro :)

  • A masterpiece song

  • This man gives one of the smoothest, classiest performances I've ever seen!

  • I do, it's 5/8 :)

  • Ahh, the oldies are the beat

  • Dude this is classy as fuck!!

  • I saw them last summer! AMAZING! :D They still rock after all these years!

  • CLASSIC!! PURE CLASSIC!!

  • 13 people are jealous that no band can make good music as this.

  • @MrOctane3 Maybe someday they"ll grow up to understand what real music really is!

  • I've been looking for this

  • timeless

  • I AM NOT MR. MAGNUM.. I AM MR. HER PLEASURE AND MR.. HER PLEASURE IS HERE TO BE A SEX SLAVE AS PAYMENT FOR THE HARLOT- HOW HARD CAN THAT BE FOR SOME HUMAN TRAFFICKERS - YOU DO THIS SHIT EVERY DAY- WHAT'S ONE MORE SO YOU STAY OUT OF HELL??

  • bandotototota

  • As long Glee doesn't do this song

  • Chicago Band! Their original horn section kicks ass! Wonderful singer and the band gives full support of it all! Thanks for the song - ""Does Anyone Know What Time It Is?"" Only in America to get the best!!! Edmondo ( etsonggalaxy)

  • such a fantastic band, The singer is cute, but so is the drummer...

  • Tremendous tune from one of the all time great bands. Masterpiece.

  • This is a cultural treasure. I pity the people who wouldn't know good music if it slapped them with a 2 x 4.....

  • Chicago are underestimated. Peter wrote most of their song as well as sung them.

I love songwriters no matter what type of music they make.

  • 12 people don't really know what time it is.

  • I command you in the name of Lucifer to spread the love of the innocent

  • My day was in his 40s then and he loved Chicago. I miss him and those good days when love and peace was the topic of music.

  • Thank you windy city!!!

  • love the horns on this.

  • I couldn't have said it better.

  • This is such an amazing song!! Always loved this one!! Chicago sure put out some excellent songs. Takes me back to better days. This song takes me back to days of true happiness and innocence. I miss those days. My heart just aches for those days so much. What a time that was! Never to be forgotten! There was a magic in the air back then that you just cant feel today and that is a real shame. This song is pure magic in itself! Missing those days but hold the memories in my heart forever!! ☺♥

  • I wonder what happens when the song is played in reverse......

  • Oye gracias por subirlos, no fuiste al concierto del auditorio nacional l7el 15 de enero?? estuvo poca madre

  • HOW IS THIS BAND NOT IN THE HALL OF FAME?

  • ya.. pert'near 2012

  • So glad to have lived this music during my youth..A strong foundation !

  • one of the best horn section around...my all time fav 70's band...when bands were bands...

  • We are running out of time folks- Elijah as a plan but Jaeson Ma prefers hell to his inheritance and that means the Elijah's approved blueprint plan for gentiles fails and America will certainly feel the wrath of God as stated in Ezekiel 28- Forgive me if you think I was hard today but would you prefer hell instead. IN THE BIBLE, IF ELIJAH FAILS THAN THE USA AND IRAN WILL FEEL THE WRATH OF GOD- THANKS JAESON MA

  • @HaHaWinsAgain Leave this bullshit out of a chicago song. The paranoid rantings of false prophets, claiming doomsday because of failure to get onto your knees and worship a false god. A god of evil, jealousy, and corrupter of human consciousness. The idea of your religion spreads nothing but fear. No love can be taken from these prophecies. We are all related to adam and eve so we have all sinned, and therefore must live our lives according the holy book. Free of pleasure. Please get a brain.

  • I LOVE THE HORNS ON THIS ONE.

  • as anyone noticed the lead singer looks a little like rd blagojevich?

  • CHICAGO!!!!!!LOVE IT!!

  • sounds so amazing, i cant believe this is live

  • Bobby Lamm = HOT These guys are legends in their own time - one of the most magnificent bands ever. They have endured over decades of huge shifts in musical style and will never be outdated. I feel incredibly fortunate to have grown up with their music playing in the background.

  • excellence

  • Another great Chicago Video - loved them and Blood Sweat and Tears. Very talented musicians.

  • An awesome performance of a great if underrated rock classic. But who the hell was playing bass and what was he smokin'? .

  • @TERRYADAMOproBASSIST

Peter Cetera was on bass and if you're referring to the way he moves his mouth, he once had his jaw broken.

  • this is nice, rreally good sounding concert

  • @PSALM45KING Better luck next Rapture, I guess ;-)

  • It's always 4:20 on my watch. LOL.

  • We failed stopping counting but might still save Chosen

  • Seeing Chicago at Lumberjack Days in St. Croix, MN. last month (July 2010) laid down the foundation for me and Randy. I love you, Baby. ;)

  • Daniel 12:11 - Day 1 of 1290 days is time to repent day- Turn to Revelation 3:18-29. We are about to enter the Great Tribulation if we do not get this right ASAP- We are once again at Joel 3:3- Meesh is the person spoken of Revelation 3:18-29. The game will lead into the Great Tribulation if it does not support His Plan- His Way- We do it God's Way- We not tolerate one more day of Meesh saying otherwise- This is how have a future- We go to Jeremiah 29:11-13 ASAP-before we our kids die

  • @Marcela12347 thanks for posting, Marcela. Saludos......12:36 PM :)

  • @Marcela12347

    Actually, "it's 25 or 6 to 4"(AM)

At least that's the story Robert Lamm and Peter Cetera gave when asked how they came up with the title and lyrics for this classic.

  • James Pankow was always my favorite...Mr. Trombone Man!!! So hot!

I think that I saw them, when I was in high school, every time they came to Boston!

  • @lulubhines I agree with you... It's James Pankow, for sure who the "hot" one is... for sure... ;-)

  • Love this song!!

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anybody really know what time it is? Where happened to those yesteryears and this phenomenal music? They do not make music like this no more! Peace....

Thank you juantoletemex for a great post!

  • great

  • David Clayton-Thomas of Blood, Sweat & Tears once referred to Chicago as BS&T with sex appeal. Interesting that he would make that analogy. I don't thier stories are paralelled. I know that BS&T came first, but Chicago had more to endure. And quite honestly, take away Clayton Thomas and you don't have much. Chicago had more than one lead singer.

  • To Sandra and Barb,

Hope you enjoy this as much as I have.

  • William shatner was standing in on lead vocals that day!

  • If this song were to be recorded in 2010 "watch" would have to be replaced by "cell phone". In other words, "A pretty lady looked at me and said her mobile phone had stopped cold dead". Phone clocks have almost made watches obsolete.

  • @barefootpoet24 Lol, I'm 16 and I wear a watch. I don't know why. Probably because I'm too lazy to get my phone out of my pocket most of the time

  • @supercrazyblondeguy use to wear a watch and got use to the cell phone carrying and checking time

  • Great song...love going to see them almost every year, here in Pittsburgh!

  • Looks like Rob Blagolevich with short hair..

  • the good stuff

  • I remember seeing Chicago at St. Johns University back in the early 70s. They were playing in the gym. We were sitting on the the gym floor. Amazing then and amazing now.

  • so fucking good

  • Can I get this concert on DVD?

  • Chicago had a sound all their own, no one can really replicate them. I feel so lucky I was a 60"s & 70's child to enjoy some of the best music ever!

  • @60sea

me too and my boys grew up listening too the best years of music.

  • @60sea ah, but we can still enjoy it can we not?
