I guess he never saw the way that Christopher Reeve played the role. It seemed to me that he was very flat and I was not impressed with this audition.

Gerard Christopher tried out for the role of Clark Kent/Superman for the TV series Lois and Clark The New Adventures of Superman, but when they saw he did the Superboy series they rejected him. Too bad.

wow he does resemble Chris Reeve Clark Kent in his acting, and Gerard was good in the show it's a shame he's not that age now, and trying out for the new movie... ANYWAY... Cool clip.

I noticed that right away, Ginger, that he pushed his glasses up on his nose like Reeve, or instinctively. He was perfect for the role.

He's awesome! I LOL'd when he tried to 'open the bottle'. He's perfect at this. They are using the Original Superman script! Cool! I see how they really wanted Gerard to be doofy and goofy, so, it wasn't his fault his Clark was a big geek in season 2. I loved his Clark any way. I really like how he pushes his glasses up at certain points. And now that he admitted he really wears glasses in the beginning, it makes sense! We all do that. lol. AWESOME CLIP!

He could have been the "Smallville" Clark...and looked fantastic in the costume.

@harveysuperboy Yes! Gerard and Stacy should have been Jor-El and Lara (Superman's Parents) on Smallville...!! I can't wait for the seasons 2-4 to (finally...one day...) be released- "The Adventures of Superboy" was the best Superman show ever seen on television!
