im a 13 year old boy and i really want a phone for texting, web browsing, long battery life, youtube, facebook, and loottsss of media (music, videos...). ive had an iphone 3gs since february and now it is starting to fail (eg it freezes, apps wont work well), so i wanna change it. do you reccomend the bold 9700 for me? i really like it. and btw what apps does the blackberry have and how does the appstore work? is it the same system as on the iphone?

@flogmaster5000 Stick with iphone. I dont think BB are for 13 y olds. They are more "business" handy devices.

The application store is not as wide as the Apple one. You wont be able to play all the games you can play with an iphone. Maybe get an iphone 4. It's more social networking friendly and more playful in everyway.

@janreb22 I had the curve 3g and now i have the bold 9700 and the only real difference that i noticed is that the bolds camera has flash lol(of course the bold has better battery life and little stuff like that) but if you mind no flash just get the curve 3g and save some money.

I have had this phone for about 5 months now, and it still looks brand new! Build quality is really great (save for the chrome bezel) and it is still lightning fast and has absolutely NO lag ever. The only time it ever froze was when my stupid friend tried to go on runescape. Web browsing is top notch (for a blackberry) and its the only phone i can type super fast on without ever making mistakes. GET THIS PHONE!!!

@qCOMODOp come on dude...big difference. with iphone if unlocked, you can use any sim card and with data plan you are connected to the net. its browser supports all carriers data plans. with the bb you cannot, you have to have what they call bis or bes to surf the web unless you wanna just use wifi. i have unlimited data plan with simplemobile: on iphone it works great but cannot connect on bb 9700.
