  • handgun of choice for the mexican cartels

  • @NITECOREPD try a Colt govt. 1911 ;)lol

  • My Uncle got one of these. I got to feel the trigger and all that. Great gun. (Nothing to compare it to because I'm 13) but it is light and super crisp with the trigger pull.

  • heavier pistols are better helps control recoil and plastic is pretty bad for durability or accuracy. FN and other manufacturers who use plastic in assault rifles to pistols i think is bad as a whole f2000 g36 acr fn scar all plastic with metal inserts and they all melt they are just plastic lowers with metal inserts same with glock and XDm fn5 7 fn 45 beretas new pistol. I personbally would like to see all of those offered from the manufacturer with the option of all metal lowers

  • @woget264 The AR15 and the new 200 series AK also use a lot of polymer.

And the FN Scar features a "monolithic" upper made of metal. Why would you want a metal lower for the FN Scar since the regular AR15 lower is aluminium...

Plus, in cold weather a polymer lower is less affected by the fragility metals present in lower temperatures.

  • @bf2lover42 So you are telling me when it is 30 degrees below zero PLASTIC is less brittle than metal go find any piece of plastic and try that out. And im talking about metal inserts in the plastic not plastic furniture that wont have any thing to do with the structure of the frame. The scar i dont uderstand what you youre getting at with the comparison to the ar15/m16 series of rifles.

  • @woget264 "go find any piece of plastic and try that out"

I will just admit that you are full of shit and don't actually understand polymers. Next time take a Materials class in Engineering college before spitting bullshit like that.

Comparison between the AR15 and the SCAR? The lowers are very similar, and one uses polymer and the other is machined aluminium. You brought up the SCAR first.

And no, they don't melt. The XM8 had it's barrel melting, not the polymer.

  • @bf2lover42 oooh realy and you are the vaunted engineer of youtube now huh? I dont have to take an engineering class to figure out that plastic will never be as good as metal the reason its used is because its cheaper, to save weight. They inject the "polymer"aka plastic into a mold again you dont have to be an engineer to know that. you push any of the pistols or assault rifles to their limits of abuse a metal one will fail after it. and does bf2 lover know that the xm8 and g36 are the same?

  • @woget264 Plastic also is not as consistent as metal in any manufacturing process. I didn't bring up the scar i brought up Fabrique National herstal not the scar specifically. The SCAR bothers me because the only reason people know it at all is because of video games not from its reputation. When plastic ages and is exposed to sun and cold it affects its molecular make up again that is common knowledge no degree required.

  • @woget264 I'm sorry, I do know that the XM8 and G36 use the same internals, but G36's do not melt. If they did, I think that the Spanish, Portuguese and German armed forces would have found it by now. Just because some idiot messed up his SL8 doesn't mean the G36's polymer won't stand as much abuse as an AR-15's aluminium receiver.

    "bla bla bla videogames"

    Bullshit.

The SCAR was known way before it appeared on videogames.

  • @bf2lover42 yeah no it wasnt it was tested and rejected by the armed forces it appeared on tv people saw it and tolled the video games to make it. If it hasnt been adopted after 10 years it wont its specifically a pop culture gun. And yes polymer might but good a majority of instances but in the most extreme seen in combat i wont rely on plastic a fat ass soldier carrying a 150 lb ruck and weighing 200 lbs falling on his plastic gun has a higher chance of wrecking the whole thing

  • @woget264 "it appeared on tv"

And that makes it true. The TV also told me that Starbucks allowing people to carry guns has a direct influence on the number of firearms related homicides.

Have you thought that the people who own that channel also own shares of competing brands?

"it was tested and rejected by the armed forces"

The military also tested the number of stoppages in 60,000 rounds and they counted stoppages caused by the testers not knowing how the burst trigger works.

  • nice review and all...but how does it compare to a Glock 17?

  • I think this gun will be a fail cause police wont use the high penetrating round , and the military dont need anOther round . A curious sidetrack on the road of firearms design . OF COURSE I STIILL WANT ONE .

  • @peterm3964 WILL fail? it's been out for YEARS!

  • "They just work."

  • Perfect handgun for a reloader lol! Semper Fi

  • @istudd @gumpdydumpty - NY and I think CA are restricted to 10-round mags. Everywhere else that allows CCW, you can own the 20- and 30-round magazines. In the case you live in NY or CA, FN ships the gun with factory 10-rnd magazines.

  • @StewartsRootBeer i think in ny you can own more than 10 round mags only if its pre ban of 1986 when they out lawed full auto guns.

  • @1EazyonthebeatZ I live in New York. You can only have mags with more than 10 rounds if they were made before 1994. It's actually only the metal mag itself that has to be pre ban. You can switch out the spring and follower if you want.

  • Don't review guns you haven't used.

  • @gumpdydumpty Don't have opinions about youtube videos if you don't have any.

  • @newdefsys Logically, that doesn't make any sense.

  • @6:28 "In my experience in firing...I only have limited experience in firing FN's, but...they just work."

    That's quite the observation. lol

  • Sexiest pistol ever made.

  • @TheBigmuch Next to the 1911 of course.

  • @Galaxiebaker uhuh sure... just keeping blindly repeating what the media feeds you

  • to bad the maximum capacity 4 hangun mags is 10 rnds ...damn liberals :(

  • @istuddd really? I was shooting a 20 rounder today.

  • @gumpdydumpty i live in canada ... everything is banned :(

  • @istuddd i feel ur pain! i want this gun (but not this color scheme, gawd its awful. all black looks sexy)

  • @istuddd i have a glock with 2 15 round mags.

  • the only reason some people want to Satanize this weapon is because it has no "Amercan Heritage".

"It can pierce body armor!" Big deal!

The Magnum .44, designed for big game hunting, doesn't need to pierce armor, since it will shatter all your ribs and your spine in the extreme case a vest can keep that humongous bullet from reaching your shirt. But hey, it's iconic American as Dirty Harry. And only big bulky dudes who can hadle its massive recoil have the right to carry serious firepower.

  • @flurry Nah, the "Gun Grabbers" don't care about its heritage; they hate all guns. They want it banned because it can penetrate armor and fit 20 rounds in the magazine. A .44 Magnum is definitely not something you want to get hit in the chest with (even with a vest), but its bulky, heavy, and only takes 5 or 6 rounds. The "Brady Campaign" (i.e. biggest gun-control advocates in the country) call the Five seveN pistol an "assault rifle that fits in your pocket." Ugh, I hate them.

  • beretta is the best pistol

  • Either u get the ammo or u dont.. i like to use the black market.. why?? Cheap n i dont pay shippn!! :)

  • the Kel tec PMR 30 is the poor mans alternative to the FN five-seven

  • @andrewvanrhoberts Man, I just traded a PMR 30 in on this very weapon, the 5.7. The PMR almost got me killed. Never got past 3 rounds without a jam using only Keltec recommended ammo and THEN then the barrel came unpinned and was sticking back into the load/ejection port. Also had failure to feed/eject issues. a friend had left me a message not to fire it until I talked to him. Of course I got the message the next day. Several recalls are pending. I LIKE Keltec products just so ya know.

  • CFProject153 FN is a different gun company it stands for fabrica nationale and it's a Belgian company it has nothing to do with heckler and Koch

  • Most of the elite ammo rounds are around 1800fps out of the FiveseveN. They do make one round (S4M) that is 2600fps out of the pistol and around 3400fps from the PS90. Elite brings the best out of this cartridge.

  • I thought there were some "elite" rounds that got about 2100 fps aswell

  • hey do you have any contacts in FN? The five seven nice and all but the grips are sooooooooo uncomfortable afterfiring about 20 rounds your hands really hurt

  • @CrakaBunch30 The grips really do wear on your hands. I've seen some after market grip sleeves for this gun that might take some of that pain away.

  • One thing to note (don't know if it has been posted here) is that the round is actually ss190. It is also legal to obtain because it was originally manufactured as a rifle bullet and is legal if purchased as such. Legality of using it in the pistol is definitely questionable though.

  • Actually the 9X19 cartridge retains much more kinetic energy beyond 400 yards.

  • btw, get off glocks nuts... i cant watch a video without you confessing your love to them.

  • how can you HONESTLY review a gun without shooting it??? Im just glad you said it in the first few minutes other than wasting everyones time and saying it 20 minutes in like to many of your other videos. You reviewing guns without shooting them is like me saying some chicks good in bed without sleeping with her...

  • @semisi2uh Actually its nothing like that. All he's doing is talking about how the pistol feels, ergonomics, sights, capacity, etc, all things you can know without shooting the gun. If you want to use your girl analogy, its like him saying how a girl looks, but he hasn't had the chance to sleep with her yet.

  • Get off the glocks nuts, there is really nothing speical about the glock

  • review without shooting = fail

  • I love the Capacity of this gun.

  • It looks so cool.

  • the funny thing is... the FN P90 use the same rounds as far as i know :). FN five seven is a Very good gun :)

  • @VixMusicProduction Think of if you were a soldier in a Very urban area. You could carry a P90 and a Five-Seven and carry all the same ammunition, that'd be neat.

  • @VixMusicProduction Yeah, the were made to work as a pair.

  • the mag release is revisible right

  • Just saw this gun in a COD MW3 trailer. I gurantee you that when MW3 comes out, your going to have tons of Call of Duty comments by those fanboys. Just giving you guys a heads up.

  • @sparta139 thanks for the warning

  • Hey nutnfancy if you don't like the civilian round you could try reloading it. I don't know if their is equipment out their to do it though.

  • haha I like how he explained this is a great gun for doomsday....Exactly what I want in a gun

  • my next handgun.... love these.

  • the desert eagle is a great gun, so is the FN, thing is they are for quite diffrent users

  • wow time flys. 2008

  • if you out a vertical grip on the front of this gun would it handle a lot better? ive never done that, but it seems like it might be fun to do

  • the regular civilian rownd WILL go through body armor

  • @Mr69MustangFastback Orly? Have you tried it and what level vest did you shoot?

  • About how expensive is a 100 round box of 5.7???

  • @hailfire82997 probably around 40 dollars

  • @KalashnikovKid762 well thats not so bad

  • aye guys look! its a Scar-H in pistol form ^_^

  • you fucking talk too much.

  • @sovereign126 He Suppose To Talk Too Much Its A "Gun Review"

  • @p0ob34r More than 2 minutes went by before he started actually started reviewing the gun. This guy babbles too much.

  • i dont know if they are the same but i can get the xm855 green tip penatrator wich, well don't quote me on this but i was told its the same as the ss109 penatrator

  • That is a SMALL gun....

  • As for my comment, I'll talk about that in a minute.

  • Nice review.. could've put the 2 minute intro in the comments though.

  • @TheDesert92 Please tell me you're not serious.

  • @KalashnikovKid762 trolololololo

  • if im in the military can i get the AP rounds

  • The myth the Five_seveN is some kind of unusual vest defeating cop killer is propaganda by Brady. The 5.7 round sold to the public is not armor piercing any more then many other pistol calibers are. They saw the Five_seveN was new and 5.7X28mm had a small following so they figured it'd be an easy ban target if they could spread hysteria over it being AP, later, using the same precedent, they could ban scores of calibers for being AP. Don't help Brady by repeating their propaganda as fact.

  • Same round as the P90

  • @Galaxiebaker By idiots, maybe. With ammunition available to civilian shooters, this pistol is certainly not a cop killer. I don't know why it's received this dubious distinction. There are loadings of the .357 SIG round that penetrate armor just as well as the 5.7x28mm.

  • @Nater245689 According to wikipedia no cop was killed with it in america as of now.

  • i really want to shoot this round

  • I still can't believe you call it glock like.

The polymers aren't even similar, glocks are made of a much thicker and much softer polymer. The frame rails are in a configuration I've never seen another gun designed like. The FCG is far more modern. The safety is excellent and forces proper handling technique. There's literally no recoil, and very little that could ever cause a malfunction. While it lacks power, it allows the most effortless shot placement of any handgun ever made.

  • The mag could be Carbon-resin, very strong and durable

  • @Galaxiebaker youre an idiot your the type of people that give firearms a ba dname because of one incident where its the person behind the gun not the gun

  • @iketheman22 thats a glock he says jesus christ

  • I <3 20 round default magazine.....

  • the LE/military round is actually the SS190. Not knocking you, just letting you know.

  • thats a glock

  • @mylederhosen i don't think your glock fire 5.7x28mm ammunition...

  • i have that same glock

  • This pistol is called in mexico "matapolicias" "copkiller" the cops in colombia have a lot of fear for this pistol.

  • @pablodientevolvio A level IIIA stops this hand gun in its tracks. There are many videos out there where massive hand guns including the five seven are being shot at a level IIIA vest and the rounds are bouncing off. Not only that but the .223 and 5.56 has problems yawing at close distances with shorter barrels around 14 inches and under. This is why the military is not happy with M855 round. Using a pistol would be even worse.

  • Doomsday Tip of the Week: Retrieving dropped weapons after a fire fight, helps tremendously.

  • @AvEryBadApPLe very good tip. i hate when they never do that in the movies LOL

  • @SmokeCheck4 seriously, lol. @_@

  • I just shot it today, and have decided that i might be buying it soon.

The gun is basically a 5.56 rifle compacted into the most lightweight and powerfull full-sized handgun i have ever fired.

I was only allowed to fire it in the rifle and shotgun section of the range because of the sheer bark of the weapon...Its as loud as a 12 gauge, and recoils like a 9mm pistol. The ammo was $35 for a box of 50. Im sure you can find it cheaper though.

Please thumbs up so people can see this.

  • Dude you need to be more brief and stop saying how the review will proceed. YOu keep repeating and the first four mins were wasted with preocedural issues. Please no endless repetition. This is not a calculus exam! :) S

  • @StyngRay1 According to nutnfancy, it's this informal, 'conversational' approach a the review that makes it interesting. Or something.

  • And they used to call the Glock the plastic pistol....

  • @ChiefsFan581 These types of polymers are not made by fisher price. Stoner did everyone a favor and brought in aircraft grade polymers that are as a strong as or stronger than steel, and they don't rust and they are lighter. The only thing these polymers can't do is take the high heat that steel can take. Guns made of all metal is pointless.

  • @Warpath2198 Haha, no I agree. I wasn't saying it's a bad thing really, I'm just saying that the FN seems MUCH more plastic than the Glock

  • @ChiefsFan581 Ahh I couldn't tell. There are some old farts who swear these guns will melt in the sun :(

  • I see this was done in 2008, can you do a new review? I would like to include this in my lineup for what handgun to get but its a bit outside my price range. I could be convinced however if its worth it!

  • shot this gun for the first time last week. It is absolutely amazing how light it is and the 5.7 ammo used for it is like shooting a .22. It's no wonder why its worth over 1000 but worth every penny. Cant wait to get one of my own.

  • This is an very special gun, the FN Five-Seven and the FN-PS 2000 are great guns. guns that the secret services uses. the bullets are special the bullets are only made for these guns. very light weight great technology, and ballistics. Does anyone remember for hood tragedy? remember the crazy dude who shot all those people?? Yeah he used the FN-PS 2000.

  • This is an very special gun, the FN Five-Seven and the FN-PS 2000 are great guns. guns that the secret services uses. the bullets are special the bullets are only made for these guns. very light weight great technology, and ballistics.

  • how are you reviewing it if you havent shot it @_@

  • man, belgium gets all the good stuff. P90s, F2000s and waffles. Lucky

  • @Maustyk527 Dude you forgot the Belgium BEER!!

  • @Maustyk527 dont forget FN MINIMI and MAG

  • @Maustyk527 germany has lots of good companies including H&K which made the G36 and MP5 and FN

  • @Maustyk527 tough they make them in belgium it's near impossible to buy one here legally

  • @Maustyk527 f2000s aren't really that great.

  • @Maustyk527 and the SCAR too

  • @Maustyk527 you forgot french fries ( invented by Belgium, not France ) :)

  • Looks and sounds pree plasticky

  • @nikonfseries this is a sick ass gun and this guy who is doing this review doesnt know what the fuck he's talking about, basically making the gun look bad for people like you.

  • is it possible to reload 5.7x28mm brass and create your own cartridges with the same specifications as the LEO cartridge?

  • hot damn! all the people behind TNP are amazing thanks for your reviews! greetings from mexico! you guys have a bunch of fans here!

  • never shot it and dont know much about the caliber........

  • The round in this gun was designed to pierce armor. It's roughly the same caliber as an M16 round (though much shorter). Badass right?

  • lmfao . . .. .. another review about a gun he has no clue about... great .... i wouldn't be watching just because of the judge review.... but it came up in the search and i had a dumb ass attack and clicked on another video of yours ... yikes... sorry self ... just another reminder to self..... blah blah blah.... +nothing

  • not work

  • "I don't have firing experience with this gun" Is where I stopped the video. Why do you think you can speak about a weapon you've never even fired? That's like saying Corvettes are crap without having even sat in the drivers seat.

  • A gun review before shooting the gun? Bizarre....

  • check the select carry pack is fisher pack

  • great gun indeed..u can also get armor penetrating bullets from mexico ... without qualification... good luck tryin to get it over the border though :)

  • هذا السلاح قوي مجربه في راس ولد عمي........

  • is this gun available to the public

  • @BEYONDxNATION of course it is, dont let the ammo controversy fool you, they aren't armor piercing, well the ones available to the public but i wouldnt recommend buying this if you are trying to be cheap because the ammo is spendy.

  • @robometallist shoot...the gun itself is expensive right now...just went up a couple hundred dollars not too long ago

  • U.S. Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan used this in the Fort Hood shooting.

  • @murphy13295 yep he used this. Shot over a 100 rounds at everyone and killed only 13 people. Nice gun, not very effective.

  • @Mordred113 Keep in mind he probley missed alot

  • I want to see the blue tipped bullets.

  • @mistereveready What is the exact measurement of the Grip on a Glock 20 (Sorry, i'm not very fimiliar with Glocks...)

  • How does the Five-seveN feel compared to the Beretta M9 (If you have big hands)?

  • @CJL1290 The pistols size is very close to that of a glock 20 (10mm). I guess I have big hands (7" high, 6" across including thumb) and it fits very snug. My thumb and fingers can over lap.

  • Issued to the U.S. Secret Service as a complement to the Sig P229 and since you had no time at the range with it - - big booms and lots of muzzle flash. I like it in the colour you have, USG version, fixed sights.

For my holster: Blackhawk! Serpa Concealment Latte Finish (Holster/Belt) Company Index Number 18 - Hard to find as the Five seveN is such a HOT seller almost three years after this video was made. They can't keep them in the stores in Miami.

They recommended .22 for the bore brush.

  • can you get a laser for it without the flashlight??? I dont like the flashlight on it

  • Thanks to Jared Laugher (yes i know that's mispelled) this weapon might be banned unless FN can make smaller magazines

  • @gooyzit I think they ship them to California with 10 round mags??? I think I'm right about that...

  • @Sk8brdr323 My good friend is a secret service agent and he carries a sig in .40 cal. He been on a few pres. details and hes never seen any of his fellow agents with these. Where did you hear that?

  • Comment removed

  • @thallium200 On the Wikipedia page, it says some were issued to the Secret Service. There's not really any reason to believe that's not accurate (though he may not have gotten his info from there); after all, their newest (Five-Seven) model is called the, "United States Government." So, at least some secret servicemen have them.

  • @thallium200 It's a specialised weapon in their array of firearms. It's not standard issue or carry...

  • HEARD ITS BEEN PULLED DUE TO CAPABLITYS OF GOING THRU ARMOR VEST

  • @drjoe2323 This video is years old, actually watch it, it hasn't been pulled.

Get out from under your rock and turn caps lock off.

  • @2020ArmyRanger Acknowledged. All I'm saying is, I wouldn't choose it as part of my EDC, unless I was serving as a merc or a special forces operative, since you generally don't encounter common criminals with body armor.

But yes, I agree that it would work great for a military issued handgun. The 5.7, and the 4.6 of the MP7, are both designed as armor piercing, long range rounds.

  • @2020ArmyRanger I would doubt it. I mean, the 5.7 is really accurate, and performs really well, and has great penetrating power, but it doesn't have as much stopping power as even the nine mil, because it has a much smaller bullet.

  • @thegamechiken There's an internal hammer concealed inside - at the back of the slide (it's not a striker) if that's any consolation. :)

  • Is this gun good fo SHEEPDAWGS?

  • Is it possible that you can mount on a suppressor and show it on youtube?

  • SS190 not SS109. SS109 is the projecticle used in M855 5.56mm.

  • The Golden Rule:

    Simplicity = Reliability.

  • Belgium represent !

  • The SS195 5.7mm round shoots at about 2000 ft/s out of a FN Five-Seven, so the SS197 (sporting round nutnfancy talks about) having only 1700 ft/s isn't an issue and the SS195 is legal to civilians granted it has less energy than the SS190. Also the reason they limit the SS190 is because it's an armor piercing round which I believe that it should be allowed to civilians who pass a throughout background check.

  • A wad of paper and a straw are better then any Glock!

  • why is the camera zoomed in so much?

  • The favourite pistol of Sam Fisher!

  • @Akim1787 Sometimes dont you just kinda wish that Sam Fisher and Agent 47 were just alive and out there somewhere?

  • @Akim1787 Trivia win!

  • get a Desert Eagle.. u will be rly satisfied :D

  • @GambitMaster40

Or he will break his wrist and have his pants fall down trying to carry it.

    Shoo, codfag.

  • @GambitMaster40 Desert Eagles aren't practical at all. They are only for show and pistol whipping bitches.

  • @KalashnikovKid762 They make for a nice hunting pistol.

  • @KalashnikovKid762 actually desert eagles are practical, why do you think the isaili army uses it as the standard issue sidearm of their military

  • @TheDesert92 After about 30 seconds of searching, I have found that the standard issue side arm of the Israili POLICE force is the Jericho 941. This is known as the "Baby Eagle", but that i no way means it uses the .50 AE. It chambers a 9mm .40 S&W and 45 ACP. MILITARY gets the MK3, Sig 226, 228, or the g17. (Assuming this source is correct)

    Your argument is invalid.

  • @TheBreakawayFilms you do know the desert eagle comes in more then one size right?
