Neil Simon is a genius. I wonder who would be in this if it were made today? First of all, Universal would never make it today. There's no exploding McDonalds toy or graphic nudity. This is the kind of picture that shines brightly then fades into obscurity... a shame, really. Such a great ensemble performance. You leave it feeling as if you've just glimpsed a slice of real life in that era. A long gone moment in time. Innocence, simplicity, purpose. Neil Simon... Where IS he?
