Hello, I am completely new, but fell in love with this beautiful instrument.. Which Dulcimer would you recommend for a beginner, or perhaps one I could grow with as I learn? Thank you!
Hello! I'm a canadian so i'd like to know how long would it take to get a Dulcimer by shipping and how much it would cost for a really basic dulcimer with everything it takes and the shipping fees... That would be really great!
And by the way, you really are a good dulcimer player :)
I saw your travel dulcimer advert and noticed, that it was smaller than I want,so what is your cheapest real size dulcimer and how much does it cost?(Including shipping in finland)
hello Dizzi, beautiful music...I'm from the Appalachians and we play and build these too.....we also build a mountain dulcimer. That instrument sounds great you are playing, and looks to be top quality craftsmanship...thx for your music.
Have you got a separate video for the song you played here to demonstrate the sound quality of this dulcimer? I found it mesmerizing, to be honest... and if there is a longer version, I'd simply love to have a listen.
so tell me plz, whats the big difference between this and the santoor?? is it like the guitars? they have the same shape and name but a little bit different in sound?
The iranian santur is very similar only the tuning modes are different. The indian santoor is slightly different id has three strings per note and is retuned for each different raga.

Sorry about the wind! yes you can play with two dulcimer but it is very difficult because your eyes need to be in two places at the same time!!! Dizzi x
I am trying to get together a Ukrainian 'musical chorus'. The instruments I have been looking for are a bandura, hammer dulcimer, kobza, banjo, and a sopilka. Plus I need most to sing at some point too.
Perhaps you would like to join or we could mix and match audio.
Does TK Obrien live in Black Mountain, N.C.? I went to a store and bought one there, I don't know if it was his store, or one that sells his products.
there's no sheet music for any of my music yet, but everything should be scored by the end of the year for 1st my music book which will be available May 2009.
i WELL want one of those! how long would it take to learn something like that tho? lol i dont think i cud even manage to play 'london bridge' on it, haha!
NEVER send it to the cargo area...hand-carry it. I used to work in the industry...no matter how careful some guys are, there are too many gorillas out there.
Not at the moment but when post dulcimers i have sold to other countries I send them in a cardboard box in the carry case and with padding on all sides and have had no problems so far!
