Just watched it again the other night and had actually forgotten how beautiful this was. I totally loved how Ruth just broke out and started singing...very heartfelt!!!
Love this show, love this scene, but hadn't thought about it for a long time. My mom died two days ago, only 60, and right now I came to think of this song again.
@DannX68 God bless you. I don't know how to exist in a world where my mom doesn't. I pray that comfort and peace help make the waves of grief more manageable. I'm sure if you're leaving posts like this one, your mom knew just how much you cared for her.
@SkurtHevans Oh, I'm sure she knew. Thanks anyway. Yes, it's really hard, knowing that I'll never see her again, but it feels good to be able to say, that I was proud to be her son.
Calling all angels, calling all angels, walk me through this oneeeee, dont leave me alone....... I don't believe in god, but I can now understand why some people do.
what a beautiful and peaceful way to go into the next phase of whatever there is...wish they would sing that for me when the time comes. just beautiful
my favorite quote from this series is from brenda
we're all wounded. We carry our wounds around with us through life, and eventually they kill us. Things happen that leave a mark in space, in time. In us
great show, great song, amazing scene, moved me to choose this as one of the songs for my own father's funeral one year ago, a song he would be moved by
Six Feet Under was a superb TV series and this wasa moving scene that I will never forget. Everyone was so well cast. Casting is SO important. Freddy Rodriguez brilliant in that role....and where is ne how???? Ruth...magnificent. Where is she now??? I want to see more of these people.
I get goosebumps when Ruth sings everytime.

One of my top 5 favorite moments in SFU. It's so deep, emotional and symbolic, and yet - light as a feather.

It's sad when I watch this scene, because this is the last season of Six Feet Under, and it just mades me sad that it's all coming to an end.

The look in Sarah's eyes as she watches her sister sing is exquisite. Patricia Clarkson thoroughly deserved her Emmys.

I miss her.
She was an angel, if ever there was one on earth.

@pepperw99 My fave quote is: Time doesn't tell the truth about our souls. Only love. We're all children when we truly love.
Said by one of the women, who was married to that guy with more wives, to Ruth.
