  • massive smile!!! fantastic

  • Oh man! How do you do that so casually? If I performed like that I'd be too out of breath to take a drink at the end. Amazing.

  • @RedStratocaster92 THanks! Well, I'm really good at drinking beer, so that was no problem at all! ;)

  • jag bara nu insett att du är svensk..lol. oops. seriously, don't stop playing guitar like this. you sound amazing.

  • @spacemonkeyzass LOL. No, I won't stop playing. In fact, I've never played more than I do right now, and I'm constantly getting better, so... watching this three year old video is quite interesting as a document over my development! ;) Been a long time since my last video, but there will be a couple of 'em up here soon... please be patient! And... thanks!

  • So many crap covers of this on youtube. You however nailed it!

  • Nice cover and improvisation :-)

  • Hey, Very nice music, you can share a g3 with satch without any problem.

One question man, Your js1200 in this video has the breed in bridge or is the original fred? Thank in advance. You should play more Satriani Music, I think you add some interesting feeling to his compositions. Greetings from Spain and Keep on ROcking!!!

  • @masterdeluniverso Hello & thanks!

In this video I only had the guitar for like one or two weeks, so it's the original FRED.

I don't think it's a bad pickup, but for me it was a little too bright!

There won't probably be any more Satch videos, not that I think he's bad or anything, but my musical taste has changed the last couple of years and I find other things than guitar music more interesting these days. But you never know... rock on!

  • hey bro! where are you ?

  • I'm right here... Been busy lately, getting married and stuff like that... Got to pull myself together and make a new vid, I know. Coming up soon, promise!

  • 1 more time i dont chim in much ...but brother you quit,,i will find you and hit you with my guitar!!!!!thats awsome!!!

keep it up and never never surrender!!!!!!!!lets see some more........

  • you are such an awesome guitarist, playinh weith your soul, Im planning to buy a guitar but Im struggling which one between musicman luke 1 and charvel so cal...I need some advice bro

  • Charvel what?? Since I have never played a Charvel, but own a Music Man Luke, then of course I would highly recommend a Luke, bro...

But you'd better try one out first, not all people like them, due to the rather narrow neck, EMG and all shit... I LOVE IT!!!

  • hey bro!, i always come back to hear you play this, havnt heard from you in awhile , everything ok?

  • Yes, everything is fine... just have had too much to do...

Broken cars that needed to be fixed and so on.

I really need to make a new video, but I got rid of my old video editing program and got another that I don't know how to do with yet... just wait... ;)

    / F

  • Bra jobb, sälle.

  • mate im a huge satch fan nice work what effects r u using

  • nice improvisation ! 5*

  • Absolutley flawless cover,

Your version is one of the best, if not the best that I have seen on youtube. I am so, so jealous of your Peavey JSX Setup aswell.

Keep making videos man, all of us on youtube are behind you.

  • hörru kan du göra en video när du spelar surfing with the alien? :DDDD

  • Nä, det har jag ingen lust med! :D

  • great cover man but i noticedquite alot of mistakes long landing on the wrong notes and playing out of key a bit but other than that it was fab

  • Convincing tone! I thought you were playing out of the JSX there for a while!

  • You've got the sound!

  • exelent solo !thix guitar is too beautiful man :)

  • That guitar is unbelievable, super clean, my Ibanez SZ120 gives me to much feedback and distorts the sound when I play but I am getting one of these soon

  • Hey Fredric, I hope that your comfortable in this economic storm buddy. Best of wishes to you and yours. See Ya later....Laser~

  • Hey! Yeah, I'm doing fine. At least I haven't had to sell any guitars... Take care!

  • nicely done.

  • dude you rock! i just got a pod live. what kind of speakers do you use to get that great sound? i just need a little help getting started. thanks

  • I'm sure Satriani would approve your version .. of course he would ;).. long live you tube .. also for this. Very well done man. Regards

  • Thank you very much! :D

  • WOW!!! That's the banez JS-1200, isn't it? I love this guitar!!! Moreover you have a superb tone! Congratulations. It sounds pretty well.

Imponert over lyden din også. Fra en POD??!! Nesten så jeg må kjøpe en sånn. Åssen er feelingen å spille på den??

    Digger t-skjorta di.. Haha

    :)

  • where do you get your backing tracks?

  • From everywhere... friends, different websites; guitarbt(dot)com and so on.

  • Cedric that was awesome mate, well done.

  • Thanks! :)

  • fuck you !!! cedric you are amaizing made me cry!!!! shit!!!1

    you ae the man !!!!

  • Dude! Great playing! Overcome your fear. Put up a musician's classified ad in your area or online via BandMix. Find a band and gig until you drop! Seriously, you have a killer ear and great tone. You need to get a day job and start playing by night. Follow your dream bro. You have it. Trust me. Been playing pro and semi-pro now for over 30 years. You have the whole package. Just get up off of it and GO!

  • Yeah, I'm workin' on it!

    Thanks mate!

    / Fredric

  • i haATE U CAUSE U PLAY SO WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • quite a satriani fan are we?

  • Not really.. I just happened to buy the amp and the guitar because they sound and feel good, you know!

I like Satriani, but I'm definately not a die hard Satriani fan! :)

  • nice sound and work man. What is your amp setting on the pod xt, and how did u get the backing track? Thanks.

  • Great video! I love your playing and tone. Could you please tell what your setup was like your recording gear, interface, etc? thanks

  • Guitar - pod xt live - M-Audio Delta Audiophile 24/96 sound card - Cubase SX2.

Nothing fancy at all, you could do it too! :)

  • that guitar play by it self :p

  • Come on ~it is time for new job used your JS1200~ you always do great

  • Yes, I agree! Just don't know what to play.

Everybody seems to play Satch stuff, so I'm not gonna do that.

Well, I'll come up with something. Soon! ;)

  • yeah Joe is popular, but you play something youorself, that also great. keep up~

  • Hey. Did you upload that pod xt sound somewhere? Or is it your little secret? :) Its really good!

  • Well, I've uploaded a couple of presets, but I don't remember if that particular preset is among those... drop me a message if you'd like them!

    Thanks for watching! :)

  • Very nice feel man ;)

  • u got a js1200..u r freakin rich huh!

  • No no... I'm poor since I bought the JS... ;)

  • 43rd time :)...cant stop listening to this...

  • I just finished watching this video for 34th time!!!!!..>SEXED UP TALENT....I really really like the way you play!!!!

  • Alright! Then I'd better post another video with the JS1200 soon! ;)

    Thanks!

    / Fredric

  • Hi Fredric, I've been wanting to ask if you know of significant differences between the Ibanez JS1000 and JS1200 besides color? I also wanted to thank you again for the help with the sync problem a while back. The young man that was having problems name is Matt. His channel is: "GibsonSGsRock1" He didn't go to Cubase and Pinnacle, but he did get away from Windows, and it's an improvement. He's 16and on a budget, but he is trying hard :-) Thanks...Laser~

  • I really can't tell you about any differences, because I have never tried a JS1000. But as far as I know, the only difference is the pickups.

    I don't know...

One thing I do know is that I probably will change pickups on my JS1200, I think they are a bit too shrill IMO.

    Ok, I'll check him out!

    / F

  • Ho ho holger! Nä, jag ska inte jävlas! :D

Ja, det är mycket ös i Ösmo! ;)

    Ha det!

    / Fredric

  • haha vart i nynäs/ösmo bor du då?:D

  • Gå in på hitta(punkt)se och knappa in 0704990057 så ser du på kartan!

Min dotter visade dig i skolkatalogen. (5:an)

  • What is your delay setting at

  • I have no idea, but usually I use the tap tempo button to dial in the right tempo.

Most of the time this is a quarter note, but sometimes I use a dotted quarternote.

In this video I can hear a quarter note delay. Don't know how many milliseconds that is really. Guess you have to tap it in or adjust by feel.

    Hope it helps! :)

  • Awesome man, great tone!

  • Man that is sodding beautiful. I heard him play at Birmingham last night and his performance was brilliant. You play it exactly like him

  • good , but the bends...... work more in this

  • Yeah!

  • you play better than joe

  • No no no... differently, but not better.

Some people say that they can hear that it's me playing on a song, and to me that is really nice to hear. They say that they can hear it on my tone!! :D

I don't know if that's true, cause I hear myself all the time and really don't think in those termes.

    Anyway... thanks for watching! :)

  • Cant be , cause Ibanez JS series is (Joe Satriani)

  • Fantastic song, and some bloody good playing there my friend, inspired me to learn it. Thanks! :-P

  • Great!

Watch out for them nasty bends!

Blackadder: "We're in the stickiest situation since Sticky the Stick Insect got stuck on a sticky bun."

    Good luck!

  • the unmistakeable voice of Phil Hilborne

  • THE BEST GUITAR PLAYER ON YOU TUBE!!!!

  • you do what i do ,i get home from work and head to the garage and play for hours, you are a good player keep up the good work and sound, keep in touch

  • Yeah! And don't forget to have fun!

    Rock on!

    / Fredric

  • hahahahaha man you play very good iwas just joking ok but play your own creation, ihave been playing since 1968 and the music i created yrs ago are now coming out thru other players, keep up the good work

  • dang u still suck "whats" wrong! play your own stuff

  • Yeah, I suck, but you keep watching my vids anyway? That's great man!

    Thanks btw! ;)

  • You're great. Enjoyed watching. Gotta get the satch fix regularly huh, hes still the one. I just bought the JS 1200, and hope to pick up the jsx soon, ive been playing 21 years, and i know every one of his songs backwards, and they can still stand my hairs up and put tears in my eyes when i play along. heh heh. Dont ever stop mate, its who we are. Jake from Sydney

  • Don't stop? Well, as long as it's fun - I'll still be playing! And when I get comments like yours it really encourages me to continue!

    Thanks mate! :)

  • I agree. This is really good. You just have a nice sound through the amp, pedals and guitar and then you have the tone that everybody talks about ;-) And that is only made by the fingers.

  • Thanks!

Yeah, but it's really just a Pod XT Live! :P

  • Man, I would never have guessed that! Impressive :D

  • Well, you are not the first one to be mistaken about that amp.

In fact, I think a lot of music produced nowadays contains guitar tracks made with PODs.

They get better every year, so it's almost impossible to hear the difference between a real amp and a direct recording unit today.

    Thanks for watching!

    / Fredric

  • det var for vildt:)5stars fra(roskilde) Danmark....keep up the good work

  • Ahh! Tack så mycket! :)

  • What do you do for a living?.. I hope that you do that in your country... Because you play excellent. Congratulations frome Guadalajara Mexico. You Rock!

  • Gracias! Unfortunately I don't play guitar for a living, but the best thing about playing an instrument is that you don't get too old!

I work at a refinery... :( Right now I'm doing the night shift...

  • What do you do for a living?.. I hope that you do that in your country... Because you play excellent. Congratulations frome Guadalajara Mexico. You Rock!

  • Dude..this is ridiculous..

    Its shit hot man..

I love Satch and play alot of his stuff and i know how he sounds and you sound alot like him well done..

You just have an awesome feel and i love watching your vids.

Well done dude you seriously are awesome.

I wanna have a jam =P keep it up man

  • Thanks man! Yeah, come on over here and let's jam! ;)

  • a beautiful song by Joesat. I believe the best players copy and improvise later. that's how everyone starts. copy and improvise. keep up the good work!

  • Darn sight better than my version in many ways. (Added/Misssed notes in palces?)

Otherwise good that you improvised :)

Nice to seen an individual take on a songs potentual.

(Odd notes in the final improvisation don't quite sound right, even if they are passing notes, they seemed alittle out of place)

nice outro to top it off :)

  • wow - sound sound sound - great . . thanx

  • Hey Fredric, I just listened to this work of yours, then I listened to Satriani. Amazingly the same sound, maybe you did ad lib in the second half, but I know that if you want to sound like Satriani YOU DO. I've been into music now for around 40 years, so I do have some trained ears. I just haven't put forth enough effort yet to understand guitar fluently. I know one thing though, you are talented and play very beautifully. I'm glad that you decided to upload this lovely music. Grazie...Laser~

  • Thank you so much!

Lovely words to read in the morning! (yes it's 9:06 am here)

    Have a nice day!

  • Oh my god!!!! amazing..... great great great great.... you rock dude

  • Best~

  • even the same guitar! great! yes(im looking at the rest of your videos) perfect job no mistakes that i could tell

  • wow perfect bravo!!!!!

  • thank

  • What effects have you used?

  • Only reverb and a delay. It's the Pod XT Live.

  • thanks!

  • what effects do you use?

Picked up the guitar in 1980 (age 7)

  • I have a js100 AND A JS 1000 I love them both great sound and amazing feel to these great guitars. I would never ever put them down for another .

However, great performance as usual !

    Keep rocking !

  • I always check back to your site to see what you've done and you never dissapoint.

    Well... I like beer - don't you? :D

Yeah, more videos is coming up soon, but I'm really busy these days!

  • It's really nice to read that you come back to see my videos!

    Well... I like beer - don't you? :D

Yeah, more videos is coming up soon, but I'm really busy these days!

  • Sounds great. One would think that the Mesa in the background is what you're playing through, and the read pod XT. Nice. Great feeling buddy!

  • Or whatever amp it is...

  • Thanks! It's a Peavey JSX.

  • the controlling by your fingers is so great.i means that something likes meticulous. do you use mic to catch your jsx tone? perfect

  • Hello. I actually feel that I'm a bit sloppy in my style, but sometimes I hit the right notes! ;) Just kidding, but I have played the guitar for 27 years so I guess the technique gets better over time.

It's not the JSX, it's my Line6 Pod XT Live.

Yes, it IS possible to get a decent sound.

I use the pod because it's so easy, I'm a lazy guy!

I'm glad you liked it! Rock on! :)

  • Du är crazy dude! Mer satriani plz! Vore coolt om du spela in The Extremist :)

  • lovely

  • sounds great, bro
