Isn't it amazing how DeForest Kelly and Gary Sinse resemble each other(as well as the late R&B singer robert Palmer)? But I guess both hale from the south (Georgia, South Carolina) where there is among a certain amount of the population down there that bears this "ethnic" archtypal strain. Wonder where does it hale from, especially the cast of their eyes? Sorta like Jimmy Carter's horse (or donkey-like) teeth, or Andy Griffith's ruddy, rather swarthy looks!
@Bartman954. Actually Deforest, when he wasn't speaking Standard (US) english spoke with a southern (Mississipi Delta) D-R-A-W-L! People from Texas, for example talk with a "twang". Commercial country music young-uns strain to immitate that "twang thang" to give their "musak" "credibility" and "authenticity". Really, most are fake if you ever heard how some of these characters sound off-camera!
I think this might be the first clip of Kelley where he was playing a man from his own time period. It seems it's always either the 19th century or the 23rd century!
Total Gary Sinise resemblance

It's interesting in a sense because De's background is Irish while Sinise's background is Italian.

He looks so young. Plus it's interestering to hear him speak without his usual Southener twang.
