Okay, I KNOW that they're not the same band and they have very different elements. BUT. They have a few similar ones as well. And well, Fall of Troy had to influence them. The guys in DGD grew in their youth around the time TFOT came out.Think about it, explore, learn.

Upon Googling, I found it was from a speech some president gave (Ford?) about some college football team that wouldn't play because the other team had a black running back (who was a BEAST). It was apparently some radio interference that came through the amp when they recorded.

They broke up for multiple reasons. Thom was getting alot of credit, which he deserves fully but andrew and frank are also talented beasts. People act like Thom wrote all of the Franks and Andrews parts and that's not the full truth. Overall i think Thom hated the criticism he was getting constantly. The more he polished up TFOT the more the old fans told him he was selling out. He said screw it i want to play what makes me happy hence Just Like Vinyl.

they literally sound nothing alike. besides the fact that it's a breakdown, the rhythm is different and the melodic passage is completely different. and the fall of troy has been doing that breakdown since right before 2003, before The Silent Circus. They closed sets/ opened sets with it. Then it finally got incorporated into this song. Case closed.

The Fall of Troy is truly one of the greatest bands out there, they have such an amazing, unique sound, and anyone who's listened to one of their songs other than fucking F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. would know that. I really love how they use sooo much dissonance and still make legendary music.
