Mac OS X Lion on a HP Pavilion DV6 3194 SF

Hey! I have a similar laptop to you I think... Except its dual core i5 430m cpu. Same gpu - Radeon 5650. It's running Leopard 10.5.7 at the moment. I'm pretty newb at this, how should I update it to Lion? At the moment is has no qe/ci and 1024x768 low resolution.

I've created the usb stick. Now when i boot it i have a lapic error. What did you insert in the boot options??

I put just the "cpus=1" and nothing else. Do i need other flags like "-x" or "-v"??

I'm not sure if you knew this already but there is a lapic error patched kernel (taptun) that enables all 4 cores/ 8 threads on 10.7.2. Its working on my dv6-3181. My question is how did you get sound working? I can only get voodooHDA to work it only gives me speakers - no headphone/mic. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

@mailtoankit09 You have to create your own EDID profile to use the internal screen :(

Is it maximum resolution of your notebook or not?

@razoring47 Yeah, it's the maximum resolution (the native one), 1366 x 768 pixels.

@MnCorp971 and is possible install Lion (using iAtkos L2) with working ati 5650? And last question - Ati 5650 on Mac dont support resolution 1600x900 it's true?

@razoring47 I did'nt tested yed iATKOS L2 then install AI 5650 driver on it, yeah I've heard that the 1600x900 resolution is not support automaticlly, You maybe have to create your own EDID display profile.

I have a g6, can I use a normal Microsoft mouse or I must only use Apple Magic mouse ? Will it work with all the touch pad multi gestures or just a few ( I think I cant do that 4 finger tap at my hp ..)? it accepts all of this laptop's drivers ?

@MrFwlger No you can use any mouse. and if you want to use the Apple Magic Mouse, u've to be sure that your bluetooth connection is OK. and Yes if you plug it all the gestures will works.

I have the same dv6. While installing stuck at “system uptime in nanoseconds”. Stuck with this over a week. Didn’t have any previus osx installations. Used my friend mac to create bootable usb. Any help would be appreciated.

@nisaja5 I've never test the autonomy on Lion, but I'm sure it's shorter that windows, because the Multithread is off, it only use one core so the cpu is constantly in charge and under cooling.

@yutubeaccount007 Hi, no I think you can't install Lion without another manipulation on a mac or a hackintosh, there is no mac lion's distrubution yet. :(, so u have to create your own disc or usb install.

@TheGTATown Hi, the multitouch gestures works only with two fingers, so you can only scroll on the pages, with three fingers it still scrolling.
