  • really good..

  • can someone tell me what is the music? *o*

  • distracting nerd guy at background 1:26

  • Very good! Only thing that killed it was the slo mo made everything obviously fake. Speed it up or get better actors. Def cool still!

  • cool...

  • great cinimatography. terrible choreography

  • This NEEDS more views.

  • This was fantastic and inspiring! Thank you!

  • @Ashleebears thank YOU for the wonderful comment!

  • Im pretty sure you used the standerd Canon 28-80 EFS lens for this

  • Great work! What camera did you use? What lenses? Awesome stuff?

  • @mcHuckFinn thanks! We shot it on a Canon Rebel T2i. I'm not sure what lens it was. One of their portrait lenses meant more for still photography than video.

  • nuttin' but stringz !

  • @TheKroniey yes indeed! They have some amazing fight music.

  • Did you have anything covering your t2i so it didn't get wet?

  • @randOmazing nope :-O We just stood as far back as possible and zoomed in on the lens. I think it got a couple drops on it by the end but we were more worried about tripping and falling in the water while holding the camera! That almost happened too...

  • Awesome! Don't know anything about film making but I think you guys did really well. The music was perfect for it. One thing to maybe think about is speeding up the choreography. With the slo mo style it makes the pauses between punches or kicks a little more obvious I think

  • @omgnumbersandletters indeed it does. That's something that we learned from this, everything needs to be a lot tighter and closer to the target to work in slow motion. We definitely could have benefited from more rehearsal time but we had a limited window to shoot in, plus we were freezing!! California isn't always warm ;)

  • Ahh so much backlighting

  • Santa Monica Pier, fighting ground for the awesome since 1934

  • Sick music.

  • BRILLIANT!!

  • How did you get such smooth slo mo? did you use twixtor?

  • @HansScooter I directed and edited the film. We simply filmed it at 60fps on a Canon Rebel T2i and then conformed it back to 24fps with Cinema Tools. For any pieces that I wanted to speed back up to real-time I just increased the speed by 250% in Final Cut Pro.

  • Like the Punch trapping, and the Phillipino Kali/krav maga mix..great fight scene!

  • @SlowItDownTributes thanks! great comment.

  • @SlowItDownTributes it totally agree good trapping and kali work...

  • @SlowItDownTributes I think its "Filipino"

  • @BallpenEater It is..

  • @SlowItDownTributes :P Cause I'm a FIlipino.

  • i love wet tshirts....awesome video big ups

  • be careful under piers. tarantulas are known to house there by the 1000's because they like the cold dark moisture. it's true. watch your head when underneath them.

  • very enjoyable, and i loved the music :) good job! if u get a chance check out my channel. we film a lot of action/martial arts shorts on the T2I as well. this camera rocks!!!

  • That is sexy....

  • oh my god love it!! haha you're right it was a 'sexy' slow mo fight scene!! :P and thanks for putting all the details about it!! especially the music coz oh my god I LOVE the music!!! amazing!! and perfectly appropriate!! and yeah i guess the cold and early wakeup was worth this!! :)

  • t2i 60 fps how about with the 1080

  • @RedPanther1 both the t2i and the 7D can't do 1080p at 60fps. It's a sacrifice that you have to make if you want to shoot slow motion. Most prosumer cameras suffer from this same limitation but if you can't afford a RED camera these are considered by some to be the next best thing. I've certainly enjoyed using them :)

  • @eospictures how much for a red camera......is it as compact

  • @eospictures just went to the website.......17000 just for the body........400 for lens omg i cant afford that quiet yet

  • @RedPanther1 yeah... exactly. lol. What you pay for the Canon cameras in comparison is pretty amazing. So it only does 60fps at 720p, at least you have the option of variable frame rates. And if you don't need slow motion it shoots great 1080p video. Plus it's a great still camera!

And no, the Red camera is nowhere near as compact. Once it's all built it's as big and heavy as a 35mm motion picture camera. Red is kinda the next step up, but it's a BIG step.

  • @eospictures ....i love your honesty.........yeah this will be my FIRST step to becoming a director with the t2i.......then as you said...but through my words....once i get a job and LOTS of money i will try to become a full director with the BEST camera out there ever

  • Love the throw at 1:15! :-D
