Property Tax usually goes to the school district the property is at (At least that is the case in PA). Florida doesn't have property tax. Without the tax, the teachers wont get a pay check and the money will have to come from somewhere else. Some parents can't even afford to take their children to a private school so privatizing the schools won't work.

It costs me $3500/year for the city to pick up my garbage. I guess it also pays for the police to be rude to me now and again. Well, a lot of it here is school tax, to pay for public education, to babysit bratty kids.

Just got my Property valuation in the mail from the County. The value of my home increased 2 thousand this year. That means my house payment is going up again. If the Economy and the housing is so bad like they say why do taxes keep increasing? We are all being taken advantage of by the local state and federal goverment.

Property Tax usually goes to the school district the property is at (At least that is the case in PA). Florida doesn't have property tax. Without the tax, the teachers wont get a pay check and the money will have to come from somewhere else. Some parents can't even afford to take their children to a private school so privatizing the schools won't work.
P.S. I didn't serve for this country. Does that mean that my opinion in politics is less important? Or that I don't know what im talking about?

As Ayn Rand said, all rights stem from property rights, and without the right to own property you cannot be free. All the "freedoms" we have are the few that they merely haven't figured out a way to take from us...yet. I've been ranting about property taxes for years. I would rather pay a 65% outright theft (read Tax) on income if I knew that at the end of it all I could work hard enough to OWN, FOREVER, MY OWN LAND!!!!!!!

To be honest, it's never really been tried, unless you count indigenous societies. Western people have always been given "permission" to own by a central authority. As far as I can tell, no indigenous society developed an overpowering feudal system..unless you count the Aztec empire, which was eventually abandoned for a number of reasons.

In other words private property is acquired by applying your own labor and ingenuity, not the labor of someone else. This idea comes from Locke, who is far from socialist or Marxist. It seems like you can't distinguish between real capitalism and feudalism/corporatism.

What is the definition of use? 50 acres and a 4 bedroom house owned by a single male for example. Said single male might use the 50 acres for recreation, gardening, a sense of space,etc... 3 bedrooms could be used for company. Who should have the right to tell him that he has too much?

I will also point out why does someone always pay fees even if there is no real victim. Why does the constitution not apply. This all happened in less then a second when you admit to being a US citizen which means your a slave so Maritime law now has jurisdiction over you your supposed wealth and your body. Maritime law deals with property and economics. How is this so well again they own you and everything you produce. They simply let you keep a touch.

Who decides this? The miltary thinks all you need is one room, a locking closet, and a shared latrine/shower room. Depending on where one is stationed federal definitions of allowed space can even be open bays with only a bed and a footlocker. I prefer to have a bit more than that.
Property is not to be distibuted equally, it is simply owned. If I buy 50 acres nobody has a moral right to question my ownership or use.
