  • That 1993 logo with 1984 fanfare could be seen on ''Magic in the Water'' (1995), too. Sleepless In Seattle has the 1993 fanfare on the logo from VHS/Laserdisc release, and the Lifetime TV airings. The DVD release might have the 1984 fanfare.

  • @TheGuyReturnsBryce11 The 1993 logo with the current fanfare could be seen on "Soul Surfer" (2011) also.

  • Uuuuuuuni-corn Uuuuuuuuuni-corn

  • @LDKBBAB It's actually a Pegasus as it only has wings. Unicorns have horns on their heads.

  • tristar pictures logo from 1993-2001 2004-present i can believe it it used the 1984 music only found on jury duty

  • Tristar and MGM logos are the best looking logos out of all the studios

  • I saw and taped this film with this logo off showtime!

  • By far the best Film Intro Music!

  • The 1993 Tristar Logo have the 1984 music? That's weird.

  • im an 80s babay !

  • ill be honest, the horse scared the f*** out of me :P

  • @up27a same here i couldn't go to sleep

  • my name is tristan :D

  • @GmadaGfack FUNNY!

  • @MoreSpikeyTheDog18 COOL IM FUNNY IN REAL LIFE TO :O!!

  • Tristar, Trimark, Triumph...the 3 T's of great schlock!

  • I thinking the TriStar Pegasus appears in the new film, "Clash of The Titans-A remake of the 1981 film. But He was replaced by a Black One , and it's voiced-by Chris Rock

  • pegasus is beautiful

  • I wouldn't be surprised in the least if tomorrow I saw this same Pegasus come zooming out of a puff of chemtrails and offer me some ice cream - that's my opinion of the current events and the insanity behind them. These logo's are strange...

  • It has the 80s music?

  • I used to love this Logo when it started this is in my Basic Instinct DVD.

  • What happened to the 1993 theme?

  • Also taken from "Magic in the Water"

  • The new TriStar logo came out in 1993 with "Sleepless in Seattle", so there's some prints with the old and the new themes out there, but from what I remember at the time reading in Premiere magazine, "Jury Duty" had the old 1984 theme because it was attached with the Triumph logo and was an accident.

  • That's pretty interesting. The 1993 Tristar Pictures logo has the 1984 theme accompanying it. That must be rare because I never seen it. Great find, LS!

  • Sometimes on television, the early TriStar variant was also used on "Sleepless in Seattle". Sometimes, it used the 1993 theme.

  • @Juniorfan89 I thought they did it for Cliffhanger but I guess not.

  • @Paul8820 No, Cliffhanger was the last movie to use the old Tri-Star logo with the jumping Pegasus. When the new Tri-Star logo was introduced, the very first films released with it also contained the music from the old logo. Why this happened, I dont know. But it could be that the new theme had yet to be made. So far, Ive only seen 2 movies that contain the 1993 Tri-Star logo with the older theme music. "Jury Duty" and "Sleepless In Seattle". xD

  • @AngelicStorm1 I don't know about "Sleepless" the original theatrical version but the VHS & DVD uses the newer Tri-Star music.

  • @Paul8820 The original theatrical cut of "Sleepless In Seattle" had the old Tri-Star music paired with the newer logo. I have not seen the DVD/VHS releases of it, but it doesnt surprise me that the old music has now been plastered with the newer music. I think maybe the very early VHS releases retained the old music for the logo, because I have seen the whole "Sleepless.." movie uploaded to youtube, and it is with the logo as seen in the theatrical cut. With the old music with the newer logo. :)

  • @Paul8820 I also believe "Sleepless In Seattle" was the very first movie to use the newer Tri-Star logo.

  • That's a rare combo right there!

  • Actually, this combo was also used for the Loch Ness monster kid flick, "Magic In The Water". But you're right about this being a rare combo because it was only used twice.

  • True, but "Magic in the Water" used the 1993 TriStar Pictures theme.

  • Ah, you've got me dead to rights. I haven't seen it in a while.

  • From what I remember, Showtime was the last network to have aired that said movie, but a 10 to 1 chance it aired on Showtime Family.
