Witnessing the death of Fred through the eyes of Wesley certainly made me appreciate what it must be like to discover that "there's a hole in the world".

This death is far more emotionally devastating than Buffy discovering her mother's lifeless body or Willow witnessing the sudden death of Tara.

What makes this death so poignant is the conscious awareness of all concerned that death appears to be inevitable. We as viewers expect some grand intervention that will avert tragedy, but instead we get to watch her die, all the while not actually expecting it will happen.

This episode is insane, and definately one of the best of season 5. Everything in it is so expertly done: The humor in the first part, the group's devotion to saving Fred and the deep feeling of helplessness and sadness when the end draws near.

I never liked Whedon's decision to kill Fred and bring in Illyria. All I wanted was for her to be together with Wesley. I love the season finale more than this one, when Wesley died and finally got to be with Fred.

Wow... I'm still going through S3, though I know what happens to Fred (damn my curiosity). This was an amazing video that nearly brought me to tears at the end. You've got me both looking forward to and dreading the Season 5 episode.

This episode gets me every time. Im not an emotional guy but, when Fred says " I walk with heroes " and Wesley tells her she is one I get choked up. Then It all goes downhill from there. Not to mention wesleys death in the finale, when Freds crying and says " We'll be together " then Wesley whispers " I love you ' I fall apart.

Joss is such an awesome writer. to be able to make you feel an emotional attachment with the characters like that. Hes amazing. this show is amazing.

When you think about how Wesley began, he was one of the most ridiculous characters in the show. Over time he was transformed into such a dark and tragic figure. I think the best part is when Illyria says 'my world is gone.' And Wes retaliates with 'now you know how I feel.'

I remember expecting to hate Illyria for what she did to Fred and yet somehow it didn't happen, I became fascinated with the blue haired demon and acutally really liked her. But that just proves how awesome Joss Whedon is. One thing thing that does bother me though is the show's seeming vendetta against Wesley, they did like him being happy. But whatever the show is brilliant and your video is brilliant, you captured the emotion of the episodes very well.

I've seen this episode so many times and I still just sob when I see it. The most painful part to me is Wesley in the scenes in the bedroom. I can't look at his face without losing it. I remember when I first saw the episode, as she was dying, I was just weeping and I said out loud, "But he just got her!" Completely breaks my heart.
