Yes, it is perfectly true! This recording (made a few weeks ago) was after 42 weeks of learning the theremin. At the end of February 2009 I will have been playing one year. If you click to visit my channel you will find earlier and later recordings so can check out my gradual progress.
Haha! Falsetto! The HANDEL is actually a HOOK I BORODIN December from my Uncle ANDANTE. I hang my CHOPIN LISZT on it, or a note saying "I'm BIZET ... BACH in a MINUET" (although I'm OFFENBACH much sooner).
Very impressive. I witness the same phenomenon where during recording it sounds great, but on playback you can more easily pick out the flaws. Dont let it throw you! Perfection is very rarely achievable.. down that road lies madness.
Yes, it's easier to spot flaws reviewing your own video recordings, but although this can knock your confidence a bit, I find it a useful tool in helping me correct problems, particularly of playing style. I also tape record most practice sessions and listen to them later, looking for ways to improve.
I don't pin my hopes on ever achieving perfection ... but I hope that, one day, I'll be able to upload a video I'm truly happy with!
you play since only 1 year???
... thats not true, isnt it?
