  • great! I sculpted a monster myself, it´s head is 1.6 meters long! /watch?v=M2t7r2MmrbU check it out if you please :)

  • Who would win? The Balrog of Moria or the Bloodthirster of Khorne?

    :-P

  • dude this thing is BEAST!

  • great work..id love to see this painted..

  • Is that a Spoon of Khorne? that thing needs a Big axe to compliment its size..

I laughed on the inside when i saw it and thought "maybe that's an incomplete peice" Good work on the head and body. the feet uhm... looks like a old picture of badly drawn satan hooves. BT's look better with Horse/Bull hooves or clawed gargoyle type feet. But overall GOOD WORK! 8.7 out of 10

  • Spectacular work! I love the textures, the pose . . . everything!

  • HOW CAN SOMEONE DISLIKE THIS MASTERPIECE??????

Congratulations , im astonished, excellent jaw dropping job..

  • hi! How would you go about making a mold for this? a silicone mold? a 2 part plaster mold? Please get back to me. I wouldn't mind trying these out! Also I'm assuming casting would be either in some hard foam or plastic? slip cast maybe?

  • @Psyc0Productions You have to cut the sculpture up into several pieces and cast these separatly in 2-part silicone moulds. That will result in a kind of a "puzzle" in the end. You glue the pices together and spackle the joints - Time consuming, but really the only way to get all of the details correct. This bloodthirster would require about 16 small 2-part and one bigger 3-part silicon moulds, because of all the armour parts that have to be removed and casted separatly. One day.... ;-)

  • @Malsum i envy your work sir....lol.. i want to start to do the same thing..you creat wonderfull sculptures.

  • the Khorne sign on his shoulder is awsome

  • You sir have made my day that is truly excellent work. How long did it take from scratch? What references did you use? did you make any drawings yourself? Sorry for all the questions, I have just started to use Chavant and find the soft a little too soft to play with but the medium is nice and the hard is well just what it says hard. Any tips you can give would be greatly appreciated. Take care man hope to see another video of yours soon. Peace from the Chameleon.

  • @CHAMELEON1974 Thank you... :-) This sculpture is one I made entirely for my own pleasure (and not for a job). The basic design and look was just something that had been stuck in my head for a couple of weeks before i sketched it roughly one day. From that I made a 1:1 scale "blueprint" (front and side - no perspective), and got cracking... Took me less than three weeks all in all, but I have no idea how many hours since I was working at other projekts at the same time.

  • @CHAMELEON1974 @CHAMELEON1974 If you wanna get ahead I strongly recomend the Sculpture DVDs from The Gnomon Workshop - Sculpture 1,2 and 3. They are kinda amature made (sometimes boring to), but packed with fundamental knowledge that a lot of people tend to forget while sculpting. Good luck :-)

  • He needs bigger axe to slaughter moar enemies of the bloodgod!

  • beautiful work!!! Congrats!!!

  • AMAZING man. Great work. I especially like the different textures. The pounded metal look on the spiked shoulder piece is really nice! Horns are quite impressive too! :)

  • Wow! Did you end up casting it? Do you have any copies for sale?

  • @UseMacs Unfortunately i haven´t gotten around to casting it yet. I have been so busy with other jobs. But one day.... ;-D

  • @Malsum Awe man… I want one :D . Nice work on it.

  • @UseMacs Sorry... nope ;-) ...but I still have hope that I one day will have the time. My estimate is that it will require 16 small 2-part silicone moulds and one big 3-part, and thats a job not taken lightly...

  • 0:54 those are some sexy legzzz :D

LOVE the sculpture mate kick ass

  • bad ass awesomeness.

  • this is insane!! great job, can it be painted?

  • looks better than actual model by a long shot

  • Holly shit! Thats amazing man!

  • holy crap nice, what kind of clay did you use and is it durable will it break easily when dried

  • @johnnyhound the clay is called Chavant Clay, and it sold in three variants - soft, medium and hard. The clay in oil/wax-based and literary never dries out. In room temperature the clay is very solid and compact, and you usually heat it up to about slighly above bodytemperature. (usually by just placing it close to an ordenary lightbulb).

  • @Malsum so it might melt away, well do you know the best clay for making a solid durable peice of armor, that i can sculpture & paint of course, im building a costume so i need it to be durable because someone will be literally wearing it. The piece wont be hit or anything just for showing off basicly. if this is the hardest most sculturable clay then i guess i will use this.

  • available@johnnyhound Tricky question. You can of course manufacture a "base" for your armour and then sculpt on top of that - then I would use Super Sculpey that hardens in an regular kitchen oven.

But the way I would do it is to sculpt the armour in chavant or regular whaterbased clay, and then make a mould around it using plaster. In that mould i would then pour some kind of 2-part polyresin material. Just google the varius material i namedropped here and youll be on your way ;-)

  • how that clay dry? or its like plasticine?

  • Amazing but the axe is doesn't look like a battle axe more like a throwing axe. A bigger verison of the same axe would make this model perfect

  • Dude that's awesome what clay you used for it?

  • OMFG!!!

  • i like it it looks very menacing

  • Great Job!

  • woooow nice!!

  • Amazing Work!

    5/5

  • that is so nice.

    5*

  • Is that an Ork shoulder pad look-alike I see on him?

  • heh... well, i just wanted a "rough" look on that side, to counter the other rather slick plates.

  • This is way better then forge worlds one how long did it take to sculp it

  • Thanx! ...Took me about three weeks + a little planning before that. If i ever make a mould of it, it will probably take another 4-5 weeks

  • ok, thx

  • Awesome... how many boxes of chavant you used for this, and I assume you had an armature underneath right?!

  • *trying to remember* i think it was five packs of chavant medium... something like that. Underneath is a combination of thick aluminum wire, square brass tubing, and a thin aluminum mesh for the wings. All glued together with a kind of kneading epoxy filler...

  • from green stuff?

  • Nope- It´s Chavant. An oil/wax-based clay that is very hard in room temperature but can be sculpted if you heat it slightly

  • the forge worlds bloodthirster is totally best but this one is bether than the games workshops product

  • Better than forgeworlds.

    The Best Bloodthirster I've Seen!

  • is it stay hard as it is or u hav to bake it?

  • It stays hard as long as you dont heat it up to much

  • dang!

  • Dude, out of all of the Bloodthirster models produced by Games Workshop AND Forgeworld, this one is by far the best. The pose alone beats out the others.

  • holy fukmash!!!!!

that is sumat special rite ther!!!!

  • Gorgeous work on the face and the entire model! Keep sculpting! I want to paint one of yours.

  • wtf!!

    that is awesome!

  • a true masterpiece... I have nothing more to say

  • dude that is awesome work, nicely done!
