@Rhyno0412 Cooke skated straight at him. If Carlson didn't hit him, Carlson might've ended up on his ass, and 2-1, empty net, that is unacceptable. Carlson did the right thing making sure he didn't go down.

If it was wrong for Cooke to hit people in the head it's wrong when someone does it to him. End of story. No way to justify this, no matter what Cooke has done in the past.
I'm surprised Shanahan didn't suspend Matt Cooke for head butting Jason Carlson in the elbow.
