  • Dean really wasn't a nearly as heavy a drinker as he was portrayed. He's the only entertainer who had the #1 TV Show ,the number one album & number one movie all at the same time. A feat that will probably never be equaled. What a true icon and classy performer!

  • i love how nancy says things <3

  • Lovely song ! Hard to believe 45 years have passed by, romantism was so beautiful in the 60's... Miss you Dino and thank you Nancy !

  • What a great song, the days when fun music was clean and we did not have sick minds

  • a tutti quelli che dicono che gli americani sono burini!

  • she said "ha ha ha" by not wholeheartedly.....

  • Nancy Sinatra stunning!

  • If I had a time machine I would not go to a MJ's concert but to see my idol-Dino.

  • @GiveUsaKissxx exactly! Besides I think Dean Martin was always so drunk, I don't think he ever thought of anything or anyone except alcohol :P

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!

  • God what an amazing voice you could listen to him all day. All the good talent is gone i so wish i was around in those dancing days

  • She ALMOST looks like princess Leia in this ....

  • what kind of music is this???

  • @elenasavva1 good musik :-P

  • @elenasavva1 ps: its Jazz/Swing

  • @Zraune it was NEVER called jAZZ SWING I MY DADS DAY LOL

  • was this song in a movie? If so, what's the name of it?

  • This is all innocent. Poor Nancy did have much to sing in this arrangement.

    Very cute duet though.

  • Nancy's first record, I think. Taking it easy vocally, and relying on Daddy's friend. But great song.

  • i wonder what things they use to do........

  • i have not seen this video ever before and not heard this song in a long long time. Tastefully done and reflects a time of simplicity. A cute song and she looks beautiful and all grown up which was rarely seen back in those days.

  • Wow! Tell me about hair extensions!!!! Either Nancy had a hair long all the way to her heels or her make-up artist was on drugs: do you notice how from a small face she made an over-sized head disproportional to her small body?

Now go to the "Speedway" clip of Nancy and Elvis "Aín't nothing..." and you'll see that same hair-do again.

Still, "Things" is an excellent song and Dean is at his best, somewhere between 5-7 double Bourbons, with less or more he would miss his cues.

  • God this songs amazing

  • Two talents but she barely sings in this and her voice IS lovely

  • two immortal personalities.....

  • Dean is awesome

  • Swag

  • Nancy was so over rated! She really was not that good. Dean totally over shadowed her.

  • fantastic things u both really rock

  • I don't care what anybody says Nancy was so sexy.....

  • awwwesome

  • Yeah, sure, if she was not his friend's daughter, he would have moved in on her. That's what happens EVERY time a male singer does a duet with a female one. It's an ironclad rule. Yep. And look how he looks at and acts with her, instead of looking straight ahead or at his shoes like a proper gentleman.... (Oh boy, the morons that get attracted to YouTube!)

  • @sternumagnum

Then the question is: What on earth are YOU, yes YOU doing here, in YouTube, eh?

  • @irinkaification

Well, because YouTube does not attract ONLY morons. It attracts a great big lot of them. It's obvious. By not seeing the obvious, you, yes YOU, have submitted a solid candidacy for such a title. More effort is needed, though.

  • I remember seeing Dean Martin on TV when I was about 9 years old (in the late 60's) and thinking wow, he's cute! :)

  • Was this song on any of Dino's albums?

  • Dino .... a class act and I love Nancy ..... great clip ..... by the way check out the Dean Martin 'Roasts' .... great stuff ......

  • There was nothing going on here between these two. Here's the difference between now & then: then, they weren't as crude, perverted & as rude as we are today. Two people could sing a song & it wouldn't blow up into something ridiculous because it was just entertainment. Today we find scandal & perverseness in absolutely everything. Let it go & enjoy the music. Do you really think Sinatra would have let Dean move in on his daughter anyway? Come on...

  • @GiveUsaKissxx Well, your question is very straight forward and I'll give you an answer: YES! Frank wouldn't know what his daughter is doing, his daughter is a grown up anyway and Dean was a drunkard who wouldn't know where he is and what's he doing, besides being a ladies man.

Remember that in the 20-30-40 and 50-ies while the "silent majority" were well behaved church-goers the celebrities were divorcing left and right, having out-of-wedlock kids, promiscuity and homosexuality was normal.

  • @Purrete Then your answer should be "no" instead of yes. You're correct on the silent majority part. Nobody's perfect. And your business is your business and no one else's. At least they had more tact back then to keep their mouths shut. IF they had anything going on why should it matter now? All any of you folks have regarding the stupid subject is... wait. Lol nvm, you guys have NOTHING because NONE of you have any proof. So again, please tell me it's so important to speculate further?

  • @GiveUsaKissxx There is NO proof? What world are you living in? Marlene Dietrich was a lesbian when this word wasn't even in the English vocabulary! Eddie Fisher was a heroine abuser when nobody had any idea whats heroine. Alain Delon was gay when he represented the most macho-men in the world. The lover-boy of every single American girl was gay, Rock Hudson, James Dean, Montgomery Cliff. Shall I carry on? Liz Taylor besides marrying 7 men slept with another 27, Billie Holiday worked as a whore.

  • @Purrete I'm talking about Dean Martin and Nancy Sinatra you tool. =/ The people in THIS video. Give me solid proof that Nancy and Dean were getting it on behind her father's back and I'll give in. Stay on subject and quit bringing up irrelevant nonsense because nobody is even talking about Marlene, James Dean, Liz Taylor or any of those people. I'm sorry I'm even having this conversation with you. No respect for Dean who is no longer even with us (RIP) or Nancy. Like I said, enjoy the music.

  • @GiveUsaKissxx I really think that Sinatra sr give her daughter to Dino, hahahaha.

  • @GiveUsaKissxx Dean would have been" swimmin with the fishes ":o

  • You guys need to relax she's like a daughter to him

  • wow

  • UN DES MEILLEURS CROONERS AMERICAIN.

  • MY FAVOURITE SONG OF ALL TIME! LOVE YOU DINO! YES,IM 16.

  • Nancy Sinatra was totawlly hawt!!!

  • @ScarletVarlet N Classy

  • how i wish i lived in that era...

  • ME ALEGRA ESCUCHAR ESTA CANCION YA QUE LA RECUERDO CUANDO ERA NIÑO HOY TENGO 50 AÑOS.

  • Тоя ПРЪЧ има невероятен глас...

  • Тоя Dean Martin има невероятен глас.Просто е страхотен.

  • A catchy tune, also brings back pleasant memories of watching TV shows like this "back in the day". Thanks for posting!

  • what i would give to have a singing voice like Deans...*sigh*

  • Just imagine that ! No especial effects, no supersonicmacrofincmegastonic-microphone ! Just voice voice and more voice lyrics ! Wow Lol <3

  • @wazy19 And that's why my favorite songs are from the 50's to the 80's.

  • @cullen823 If only something has stayed the same !

  • Nancy is pioneer in this kind of recordings, cause her voice was overdubbing on original track "Things'', a cover from a Bobby Darin hit. Nancy made it long before Natalie Cole did the same overdibbing her voice with her dad's voice. Nancy did # 1 with daddy, but Natalie did not the same with her dad, moreover, get succes on Grammys!!

  • Wow this is a rude crowd.

  • some of the comments about nancy sinatra are low ,this is one of the great oldies sung by two respected singers whos songs have made it into the new generation for those of us who like this type of music please keep it clean

  • Dean's got a hard-on

  • Has a person ever had as many doors opened for them as Nancy Sinatra because of who their father was?

  • @hirdy6

Yah, but it's all about what you do once you step through the door. She has one of the most memorable songs in the history of the world.

  • @AtomicRCnetworK 'One of the most memorable songs in the history of the world' huge call but if you say so!!! I still believe she was very fortunate to have the opportunities she was presented with given the limited talent she had. Sure, she might have made the most of these opportunities but her lack of talent meant she really was nothing more than a minnow in the world of show business. I mean, Barbara Streisand,

Dusty Springfield, Nancy Sinatra, can you pick the one who doesn't belong?

  • @hirdy6

You chose a great song writer and musician to compare to her. These boots are made for walking and thats just what they'll do. EVERYONE HAS HEARD THIS SONG. EVERYONE. IT IS ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE SONGS EVER.....

  • @AtomicRCnetworK No, I would never compare her to a great songwriter or musician I merely pointed out that she was sharing company with people usually associated with greatness, Dean Martin, Elvis Presley to name two. Will have to agree to disagree regarding 'These Boots were made for walking'. PLENTY of songs would go before it as far as being the most memorable not to mention heard by many more people.

  • @AtomicRCnetworK I actually thought you were referring to 'Something Stupid' which I always thought had quite inappropriate lyrics for a father and daughter to be singing together but then it would not have had the airplay if she had done it with say, Lee Hazlewood. Anyway my point was that many people with much greater talents never had the opportunities she had and as you said she made the most of them so I guess in some ways we are both correct.

  • @hirdy6 It's the same in every business that those born into the high life will reap benefits they don't necessarily deserve.

  • @garybrownfie Example Paris Hilton. Synonyms of her; Stupid, retarded, slutty, ugly, idiotic. You name it, she's got it.

  • One of the "things" I would be thinking about if I were Dean, would be banging Nancy.Man she was hot.

  • like a what in the dark? He couldn't have said what I think he said.

  • @tuchesuavae like a KISS in the dark. Lol what did you think he said??

  • In Spanish this song is called "Chingaderas"

  • its jenneifer luv hewitts genetic predesessor lol

  • These comments about Nancy are disgraceful whether true or not. This is not the forum for this talk. Show some decency and respect for not only the performer but for those tuning in.

  • @northerly86 You are so right!... Unfortunately many people have been brought up in the talk show generation where all sorts of vile and nasty things or even very private things are talked about without shame or having a sense of propriety and class about oneself, that would dictate how far one goes, in what they say and talk about publicly. I think that's why we will see posts here on You Tube, that years ago, one wouldn't think of writing such crude and nasty things.

  • I always get confused because Frank Sinatra had a wife named Nancy Sinatra and a daughter named Nancy Sinatra. I'm assuming this is his daughter?

  • @guitarhero1346 This is the daughter. Her mother was Nancy Barbato Sinatra, Frank's first wife. Frank was 19 when he married her. Nancy, in this video, was born about a 1 1/2 after their wedding.

  • OMG she's so cute!

  • @BonelessSausage69 r u just being a asshole or r u dead seirous

  • dean martin, you old dog.

  • FRANK SINATRA IS AN ICON RIP FRANK

  • this is what I call a good song!

  • Hardly a duet....only Dean is really singing. Love Nancy though.

  • Comment removed

  • Dean IS relaxed!

  • Hermosa!!!!

  • I love this duet..........

  • I just love things like this, wish we could put brake fluide in the clock.

    And stay like this forever.

    More of this thank you.

    Mike

  • Barbie & Ken

  • excelente duo..... :)

  • Dean was a close family friend....why anyone would think that there was anything happening between the two shows a kind of weird fascination people have with any kind of controversy...basically the same kind of people who would buy or read the rag mags like the National Enquirer....kind of pitiful.

  • who is frank sinatra? and r these two married?

  • She's HOT

  • she looks a little like Penelope Tree

  • I wonder if dean ever hit on her (bet he did)

  • not sure if he did, but it would a terrible line to cross with Frank being her father and Dean, his best friend

  • @bill1957111 Your right but Dino always came off as a creep who might do something like that.

  • @bekindtoyurbuds dino wasn't never a"creep" dickhead. he was just the original player. if you say that you're either a fag, a guy who lets his ole lady fuck him in the ass, one of them new age fools that thinks its only cool for bitches and niggers to play or probably all of the above.lol im betting the all of the above!! hahahaha

  • @1986billyk What?? LOL what the hell is your problem? Get some help and seek anger management! Your Crazy!

  • @bekindtoyurbuds you're the one who said dean came off as a creep not me. i'm perfectly calm though i can't understand why you would refer to a beloved guy that was a good friend to all as a creep. they sounds like a word for a perv not a fun- loving guy that had a natural affinity for woman young or old . dean was old school and a loyal guy to all who were loyal to him.

  • I could dance to this all day.

  • were they couple ? wow . nancy 1940 and dean 1017. that means when she was 20 , he was 43 ... which is the age of 20 years old daughter's father ...

  • Dean fuck nancy? May be for once?

  • Dean breathes vibratos it's unreal

  • Ramon Ayala made a spanish version called "Cosas" I knew he didn't come up with the song lol.

  • I've always thought that the lines 'Things like a lover’s vow Things that we don’t do now Thinkin’ ’bout the things we used to do' deserve harmonies!

  • I would have evil thoughts if I was 60 and my best friend's daughter's like Nancy. Im a very very bad man~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  • how can 36 people not like this??????

  • A Time when Women looked like Ladies times really have changed and not for the better.

  • @sunrecords56 I don't like to say this but.. you're right..

  • @sunrecords56 the same with music has happened they have gone downhill

  • unsure where this clip originated, but I love Dean Martin, the wonderful interplay of male & female energy on his show (not the dancing bimbette types at show opening, though in fun), but the amazing talent, that synergy and chemistry, watching he and Florence Henderson, Lena Horne, such a pleasure. I remember when small watching these shows and Johnny Carson at night, the sense of joy, fun, spontaneity, and INTELLigence that filled the living room. Dean didn't often rehearse, part of the fun.

  • I never realised before how deformed Nancy is/was. That trapezius muscle is hugely exaggerated in her, to the point where she has virtually no shoulders at all.

Not that it detracts from the performance or the vid - just saying ;-)

  • Fantastic video!!

I really miss the "Rat Pack" and Johnny Carson..

    They were amazing...

    xxx Barb from CA

  • I grew up watching all this on T.V back int the late 60s. This brings back fun memories of what we used to see on T.V back then. It was a great time to be a kid back then.

I hope the person who did that terrible color match on her hairpiece got fired though! LOL

  • Anybody that doesn't like this is not breathing air!

    Ha Ha Ha

    I love it!

    They both are excellent!

    Good job for me!

    JJK

  • I love it.

  • oh wish they was like that today.Sailing along sining a song.Sweet.

  • she was brilliant!!

  • Shecky Green claims Frank Sinatra saved his life once.

    Frank said "That's enough".

  • Dino = Dean Martin?

  • DEAN WAS NANCY GOD FATHER..DID U GUYS KNOW THAT....

  • Nancy had such a delicate beauty.

  • Doesn't seem like Nancy's presence in this song was entirely necessary.

  • @mhails Lol well she's my favorite part of this song. Waiting for every "things" to come around over here.

  • @mhails are you mad? that song is better cause Nancy!!!!

  • @mhails She contributes a great deal more than just an odd line feed. She acts & flirts & provides a focus for his romantic overtures. Look at the way she looks at him & her facial reactions to his lines.. She makes the song just as much if not more than Dean, even though he has the lead vocal. Notice how most of the feel good factor actually comes from her vocal additions & body language. They work brilliantly together.

  • @hiyadroogs From my perspective, she looked bored and awkward and talked her way through most of her lines, like she did in most of her other songs. She was a very well-connected pretty face with an average talent, and this song is very emblematic. Dean by himself singing about bygone love would have been much more effective because I wouldn't be distracted by Nancy's terrible acting. But this is all personal perspective, and if you love it, that's entirely your prerogative.

  • @mhails Ha ha.. Well, at least neither of us is undecided & sitting on the fence on this issue!

  • @mhails yes its personal becouse i love how she act in this video :)))

  • They doesn't do Things like this anymore!

  • @maureenmo1 if your'e aquainted with louie prima and his x keely smith . she use to act real bored when he was singing to her. nancy is kinda copying that act . it makes the male part a little more edgy ..as if what do i gotta do ? lol

  • love it love it love it....dean was and still is the coolest ...nancy was good too

  • Wow this is really good.

    More of this thank you.

    Mike

  • she is so gorgeous

  • Absolutly Great, Thank you for this upload, greetings from vienna

  • very good ,great combo

  • how old was she here?

  • @kaylashalaylaaaaa 57 years old

  • Timeless song, Dino! RIP

  • El beso final, le dió ternura a la interpretación Dean Martin, extraordinario, Nancy también. Me ancanta Nancy.

  • I love Nancy Sinatra When she did this video. What a beautiful Women. In this video clip.

  • OMG, Nancy's hair must have its own gravitational field.

  • @TonyMaximMuscles nancy's hair has got nothin on Justin Bieber's :) or the guy on Biebers voice!

  • @camelegro don't ever compare that fag to dean, or any good artist like him.

  • @camelegro I guess you've never heard someone sing with autotuning. Don't mention that pre pubescant prick in the prescence of a legend like Dino.

  • @camelegro dnt ever compare that faggot justin bieber to classy stuff like dean frank and the other legends!

  • @TonyMaximMuscles LOL! Great one. She's wearing a wig, no doubt, but she does look like the fake woman from Mars Attacks movie. LOL!

  • @TonyMaximMuscles yeah we should study it and and maybe someday it will help us with mars' gravitational field

  • music.....why all the degrading remarks,,,,,,absoloute no need.....

  • Lovely tune, great artists! I keep on coming back to this one, and every time I worry that Nancy´s necks going to snap and her head will roll off...! Is it POSSIBLE to have all that talented voice in a throat so small, and keep all that fake hair from breaking her neck?(and how does she keep her eyes opened?) But boy, are thge GOOD!!!!

  • Can people not enjoy this music for what it really is & ease up on the sordid speculation!

  • Dean Martin was Frank Sinatra's best friend. They did everything together and he watched this little girl grow up from diapers. I know he liked her but as her fathers friend. May they both RIP.

  • He had a one of a kind voice, wish I could have seen him live

  • PLAYBACK??? SHOURE AS HELL LOOKS LIKE IT!

  • Deano/Dino was wonderful - an all round entertainer - loved him in "Rio Bravo" and Five Card Stud," "The Sons of Katie Elder." And I might just add he was a great singer. This duet with Nancy was nice but she had to sing with her dad and Lee Hazelwood and some of those are pretty good too!!!

  • ****High rated comment about being a gentleman**** It would every man's pleasure to be gentleman to women if they all looked like Nancy Sinatra.

  • On the "Discovery Channel" on TV is a program of "Love Hurts" in advertising the program flies very cool song I can not find her , this man has a voice similar to Dean Martin

  • Nancy and uncle Dean?

  • Dean Martin, was or for that matter is there anyone cooler? Maybe Steve McQueen, but no one else comes close!!!!!!!

    Rest in Peace Dean.

  • Absolutely beautiful. I knew Dean was good, but he was before my time, however I do recall a couple of his songs that I liked, really didn't hear many.

  • Oui, regardez bien les dinosaures d'une epoque ou la mafia etait admirée par tous les vieillards lubriques
