What is wrong with everyone who thinks it is ok for the incoming treasury secratary to evade taxes for years, but Ed and Elaine are in prison for the same thing? THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO KNOW? Is there any justice in our country any more?
When will the incoming treasury secratary be in a cell next to Ed?? Elaine would have paid her taxes too, if they would have SHOWN HER THE LAW.
Thanks for the report Dave, as always, informative.
The reality is, is that there is very little justice in this Country to be obtained through "legal" means. The judiciary has been pretty much fully stacked and politically controlled (i.e. no judicial independence), the Congress doesn't represent the people at all, and the executive exercises despotic rule. No justice = No liberty. The reality is, that we all live in a totalitarian state -- and it's getting worse.
I don't know anyone that likes virtually anything that our government has been (and currently is) doing with the tax dollars that the IRS -- under color of law -- extorts from us. End the Fed. End the IRS. Both are completely related scams.
I keep hoping that Tom DiLorenzo will write his book, "The Revolution of 1913".
The same group of people, the "Progressives", gave us the IRS, the Federal Reserve, direct election of Senators (putting the spike through the heart of States Rights once and for all), alcohol prohibition and World War 1 (which, because of the ideologically driven "unconditional surrender" led directly to WW2).

It is quite amazing to know that in our early countries history. Many states had laws making people pay their tithe. Local churches was involved with today's social activities. Now instead of paying our tithe of just 10% and was controlled by churches. We have the state demanding more and more money. If you want freedom you must go back to Biblical law culture and bring back a "Theocratic Republic."
I never said the founding fathers intended a theocratic republic. But if you think a Constitutional Republic will work into our modern society. You have to be kidding me! For one we don't have it no more. Two the reason why it worked so well, was because they had a Christian culture. But what happen? Of course I'll take a Constitutional Republic any day over a so called Democracy. But a government can't please the wicked and righteous. This leads to chaos, war, corruption, etc.
Go read the Institute of Biblical Law. If you decide to serve God rather than man, I would very much rather pay a 10%(note there are 3 types of tithe), than a pagan government that basically has us into slavery paying 60% or more on each dollar we make. Besides God can tax his people if he wants to or not. But there is much more to the tithe, than just saying it is an offering. It has a lot to do with social and political order which is a must in a falling society.
I'm against taxes as well. But you need to understand the sovereignty of God. Everything is own by God. When the state claims property taxes, they claim that they own it. Which is completely insane. God own this earth. And you don't need to pay property taxes on something God gives you. I'm not forcing anything. But the standard of morality is set by God. Otherwise where do you get it?
Ambassador is not blocked by me. I'm glad he's here/participating/viewing. Especially if he is one of Reverand Revere's folks. That guy has iron civil disobedience stones.
I support the Free State project, I actually plan on moving there one day after I'm done with my theology studies. I'm just stunned at how many people are not taking the Biblical view point. I'm sure its just YouTube. Like Mr. Ridley says, as long as we turn the other direction we can get off at other stops.
on a clear summer night, i can see to the center of our galaxy. there's no god here. we're spontaneous mutations just like everything else. hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of BILLIONS of galaxies, each with hundreds upon hundreds of billions of stars and we're not in a position of importance in any of it.
we've got eachother. instead of supposing that the only standard of morality is a recent incarnation of a very lame idea, why not actually find commonality? it's really not hard at all.
Well there is a big flaw in your proposition. Its like scratching the surface of a painting and looking for the painter. Draw a large circle on some paper, in it write "All Knowledge." Now out of all the knowledge that ever was, is and will be. How much do you know? And put it in this circle. Even the most arrogant person will only put a small dot. It is completely unreasonable to say, "I know that God does not exist." You would have to know everything to confirm this, one would have to be God.
my problem with the 'god' issue is that there's no evidence for it whatsoever. PEOPLE argue that everything is evidence. but that's people. and people are wrong.
i'm open to the possibility of beings we don't understand, possibly quite powerful. but the likelihood is slim and none. and to continue to press such an old issue in the face of current events and science is just a waste.
look at where 'christian morality' has brought us. of what use was it to society? what is it's structure?
Well if your trying to put God in a testing tube or a controlled experiment, your mistaking. I agree that good knowledge comes from science, but people forget about historical, philosophical, moral knowledge etc. This of course could be explained easier in more length. But a very logical and reasonable answer is the cause and effect. Everything is caused by something and every effect is from a cause. So what is the first cause? We must have an outside source that is not an effect!
i don't understand what you mean. 'we must have an outside source that is not an effect' regarding what? morality? morality is a made up word that encompasses basic human concepts like dignity, freedom, unity, and adds to it whatever the opinions are of the power structure selling you the morality.
if we're talking about 'creation', i think it's possible the 'big bang' was one of many cyclical contractions of the universe and subsequent dispersal.
and like i said, it certainly could be possible that god made those few tiny building blocks that make up every single thing in the universe, but the bible has nothing to do with that. it was written by ignorant men who became very wealthy by promoting the image. ignoring these historically significant blows to true human 'morality' doesn't sit well with me.
but this probably isn't the place for us to discuss these things. sorry everyone. shall we take it to PMs?
I was talking about the existence of God. The BBang theory takes an incredible amount of faith since it violates the most basic principle of physics, the law of conservation of mass and energy. For it to be many cyclical contractions the universe would have to be closed. Evidence points out that its open. If it was closed the universe would be 10 times more dense than it is.Even if it was closed, the first contraction would create a giant black whole.Even a closed universe points to a beginning.
good. we're getting somewhere. evidence points that the universe is open. what else would evidence point out? you're so close. i won't spoil it for you. but when you get it, send it to me privately so we can stop polluting this thread with meaningless pseudo-debate.
No not sure what you mean. I don't think we are polluting this thread. People like to read others debates. If the universe is open and expanding it proves how accurate the Bible is when it says, God stretched out the heavens. Keep in mind 3 Hebrew words translate into Heaven. So there are 3 levels of heavens. I think you just ran out of answers or responses to give me, but I'll let you go. So long!
the power of odin compelled me to remove this discussion from public view because it's just promoting what i view as a very harmful and silly religious fanaticism that has no place in a modern society.
as for there being three hebrew words for heaven, i have four questions; yeah? so? and? what?
Looking at it psychologically: People make complex things out of the simple. Spoons, tables, watches. We are naturally tool using.
Since life itself is complex, it "must" have been "made". Since it is far more complex than mere people could have made, there must therefore be someone greater than people to make it.
As experience has explained the world, that which is unexplained has gotten progressively more abstract, so our "gods" have had to evolve to match. Gone are hairy thunderers,
the love goddesses, fairies which make the flowers bloom, angels to touch a female to make her pregnant, etc.
Understanding has expanded what we know of the complexity of life, so the gods have likewise been pushed further and further away, and in a very real sense contracted at the same time.
The problem being that by trying to explain complexity, religions begin by postulating the most complex idea imaginable: All powerful beings that exist beyond everything we can perceive.
So if it is just fine not to believe that the mid-winter celebration is all about Marduk overthrowing the forces of chaos, or the sun being born again from the body of a hippo, whatever, why is this particular god any different than the many thousands that have come, and gone, from the human imagination?
At least worshiping the Sun has some basis in reality: The Sun is the source of all our warmth, life and fuel, past suns being the source even of fissionable materials on Earth.
Have you ever looked at the complexity of the Bible? The more I study it the more I'm just amazed at details, connections, etc. On top of that, someone how they chose 66 books out of hundreds if not thousands of historical text. People argue about why not include other ancient books. But they couldn't possibly. The Bible would be the thickest book ever. The biggest difference out of many. Is the fact that Jesus Christ resurrected. Even Jesus' enemies believed he resurrected.
There is a Biblical answer of why there were different gods and goddesses. But I'm not here to explain that to you. Back to the cell: All protein has a left-handed and right-handed amino acids. But the first living system must have built with just left-handed. Evolutionist scream natural selection. But they forget it is the first living cell. It is an amazing phenomenon! The odds of getting 400 left-handed amino acids. Is like taking a coin and throwing up and landing tails 400 times in a row.
That is true and I do agree with you. But try making complex things out of nothing. The first living cell is what evolution don't like to talk about. This is the secret of getting rid of this form of religion called Evolutionism. In order for the first living cell to be formed it would take huge amounts of faith, I mean so much faith and assumption that I ponder the thought that evolutionist must be the most religious people on the face of the earth.

Please understand, you can rule your life by any theocracy you want. Sit on a mountain an hum "Ohm" or flagelate yourself, go ahead.
Just don't force other people to YOUR morality.
That said, I have no interest in your taxes, be they to your government or your god. You tithe what you want.
