Yes Mc Cain is going to re institute the draft. In fact, he dont need approval from the house and senate--he can do it by executive order---and he says hell do it right away--so Mc Cain + Win = pack your bags boys youre going to Iraq---For 100 YRS--yall be carefull na----
plus, if he wins the office, he'll probably stick us into three more wars, on top of the two that we already can handle. Iran, North Korea, and possible Russia (who knows, he might be that belligerent). So, yes.. a vote for mccain is a vote for bush, and a vote for the draft.
Obama's support among voters between the ages of 18 and 29, which had been one of his strengths, slipped 12 percentage points to 52 percent. McCain was winning 40 percent of younger voters.... McCain leads Obama among likely U.S. voters by 46 percent to 41 percent
The dip in support for Obama, cut across demographic and ideological lines. He slipped among Catholics, born-again Christians, women, independents and younger voters He retained the support of more than 90 percent of black voters
At least Obama tells the truth. McCain goes around telling people Obama will raise taxes on people making 32,000 a year. Every add McCain puts out tells lies. He don't care. He's hoping people won't look to see if it's true. If I was Obama, I would hit McCain with everything thats on You Tube. Thing's like George Bush saying he hasn't paid much attention to where Bin Laden is will do wonders for Obama.
08AMA should win The President because he has GREAT VIEWS & BETTER JUDGEMENT.
PRESIDENT MATERIAL...very intelligent, can work most definitely under pressure, more calm and assertive dealing foreign countries, more honest candidate. He put 100 times more effort than any other candidate.
I don't think this was good for the Obama campaign because it was unneccessary. They needed to fight back but I don't think that they should have stepped to the Mccain campaign's low level.
are you that naive and stupid? This ad demonstrates that mccain is the same as bush? WTF? Perhaps for a simpleton like you, but I pray the rest of America has more discretion and common sense than you.
This is why I love Obama. He promises not to run negative ads, and he sure delivers! This is the new politics we've all dreamed of. Hooray for the campaign of hope and change!
No, he's a liar, who claims he decries McCain's "old Washington" politics and pulls the same shit. Quite the hypocrite...Obama is nothing new wrapped up in the guise that he is something novel.
About time! While negative campaigning is bad, it would be worse for Obama not to respond to McCain's repeated attempts at character assassination. Sadly, many Americans are swayed by attack ads, as the polls proved shortly after McCain's original "Celebrity" ad came out. It's sad, and this would be a better place if everybody was disgusted by smears. But we are what we are, and we Americans seem to respect aggressiveness and negativity. Next time Obama needs to respond sooner.
I wish u all the best Obama. You have earned it, and its very obvious you will do well on the job.
And, I am looking forward to seeing the first black US president which will make history in our generation because, " I reckon we are from the same generation and age group." Also, Greetings to u from my Gran ma in London. God bless u.
Censorship ,like you have here on your youtube channel, is a sign of what is to come with Obama and his Marxists ideals. Want complete gov't control, vote Obama.McCain sucks too.
the dems have to fight back though. last time they played classy and middle america didnt get it. its sad but true. dont let the repub. get away with their dissing this time. it is lame to play dirty but the reps. asked for it.
Gee, Obama's campaign team refused to allow my comments which were a) critical of the attack ad and provided evidence to refute it and b) questioned why Obama violated his word on running a clean campaign. While I am saddened by this, I am not in the slightest shocked. You hypocrites have already proven my point and lost yet another vote.
I agree. The rationale here is "attack your opponent's strengths", but I don't like to see the Obama campaign run negative ads. That's republican territory.
Mr. John McCain suffers from "Alternating Ethical Detrimentis" How would you like to have been captured and held in Washington for over two decades while they slowly sucked your Ethics away.
I like how the video was put together and I don't think it's half as bad as other slanderous ones, but seriously... This sort of kiddy school stuff needs to stop from both ends.
You should do an ad showing a kid being born 23 years ago, at the time Mccain entered politics. You should show the kid growing up with a counter going from 1 to 23 years and at the same time on the split side of the screen, you should show Mccain smiling, taking pictures, not participating to crucial votes etc. All to say that in the 23 years Mccain has been in politics, people have changed, generations have grown up but Washington hasn't and Mccain is the reason for it.
McCain is unbelievably jealous of Obama. It's another reason why you should avoid voting for McCain. It's downright frightening that a grown man could be this jealous.
All this shows is what many of us have already known, McCain is unbelievably jealous of Obama. He once was a media darling as well as someone who was popular in celebrity circles. But ever since Obama came in he's taken all of what McCain had. So now McCain is pretending like none of the media or celebrity love toward him ever happened (or maybe he just forgot). And it's another reason why you should avoid voting for McCain. It's downright frightening that a grown man could be this jealous.
Great ad, it's about time the Obama campaign fought back. And unlike McCain's attacks, this ad is based on reality, not half-baked lies and childish insults.
I think the music (classic jaz) does not match very well, it's almost distracting or even confusing. In a negative ad you want to go with something more dramatic than the folies bergere theme. This celebrity introductory music is always going to give people a positive feeling that could overshadows the negative message (that's the confusing part). Plus more black and white with the slow motion on McCain (especially the hug) would be great. Overall, brilliant ad.
While the ad was well put together I think that its very unoriginal. Fighting back and forth with the same style/theme ads are not going to win my vote for either canadidate.
Firing back is not about winning votes it's about retaining the votes you already have. Although I may agree with you, do not dismiss the psychology of the average voter. So I must know if the advertisement wasn't firing back it could win your vote? That's what you're implying and well that's sad if all it takes is 30 seconds of words that you're applying meaning to will sway your vote.
Why don't you some independent research on both candidates? I think there's more than enough info out there to help you make up your mind. You're right to ignore ads. I think they're mainly for supporters like me to get a kick out of.
I would recommend you read Barack Obama's Audacity of Hope. It tells you what his policy inclinations are.
Obama is responding to McCain's untruthfuls ads, but I would hardly vote for a candidate based on their ads, I would look toward their policies and speeches on the issues.
This is not fighting. This is answering. McCain calls Obama a "celebrity" with nothing to back it up but a shot of Britney and one of Paris. Obama comes back and shows what a shameless egomaniac McCain is. Obama's just showing that he's not going to take it lying down.
Seriously, this guy is one of the greater political geniuses to come out of either camp in decades, love him or hate him. McCandidate has just been sitting under the heat lamp since 2000...
This ad is great! Lighthearted and effective in it's own way, with a old mob boss Frank Sinatra and the brat pack Las Vegas feel to it. I like how it ends with Obama laughing. Shows he has a sense of humor.
It's funny because it's true. Hypocrites on the right have no substance so they claim Sen. Obama is just a celebrity. As if being a nominee doesn't make one famous. Ask McCain.
haha, very well done! I was worried about the campaign turning into a negative ad war, but this is a brilliant way to hit back directly at the "points" the McCain camp has been bringing up recently.
John McCain was a "maverick" for a couple of years in the late 90's when he thought it would help him advance and win the presidency. When he saw that he'd never get his party's nomination unless he toed the line on every issue, he quickly showed us all that the "maverick" pose was just that: a pose. This man is totally in the pocket of big money lobbyists and the Republican party establishment. Unless you liked Bush, don't vote McCain!
Obama just laid the smack down on McCain's idiotic "celebrity" ads. When you announce your candidacy for president on the Letterman Show, as McCain did, it's pretty hypocritical to slam your opponent for his celebrity status.
Look who's a big celeberty now

haha, very well done! I was worried about the campaign turning into a negative ad war, but this is a brilliant way to hit back directly at the "points" the McCain camp has been bringing up recently.
Once again, bravo!

When you announce your candidacy for president on the Letterman Show, as McCain did, it's pretty hypocritical to slam your opponent for his celebrity status.

well we know what the media will talk about for the next few days, write about in op-eds...go OBAMA!!

Pretty hypocritical of the Repubs to ever go down the "he's a celebrity" road to begin with, since their messiah is Saint Ronald of Reagan.
