  • skinny puppyyy

  • Matthew Wood did a great job portraying General Grievous

  • A lot of this looked like decepticon artwork

  • do you know where i can find the making of the sarlaac pit saw it once on a dvd but still havent found it

  • @icdpckrs No, sorry. Can't say I've come across that one.

  • first time i saw grievous was on the cartoon right before the third movie came out

  • whats the song/theme called at the start of the vid. i been trying to find it forever :/

  • wow its scary how quiet the room goes when he walks in.. that isn't how films should be made! it's so... clinical

  • this video show how they created grevoius wow cool

  • I'm really happy about the looks they gave him, but they should have kept his personality and abilities from the early cartoon Clone Wars serie of Star Wars. At the time I watched it, I never assumed he would have a role in the movie, so I was very excited when I saw him in it. Sadly, he acted illogical and cowardly. At least his nerfed fighting power was explained when Mace force crushed his chest.

  • where are these from? Can i buy this somewhere?

  • @rapidcore100 They are from disc 2 of the special edition DVDs.

  • @rapidcore100 u want to buy the DVD from me? i Have it! $100

  • @rapidcore100 only so u know... i live in sweden :P ^^ hehe

  • "We had Vader in Episodes 4, 5 & 6..."

And that's why he was able to become such an iconic character. Maul, Dooku & Grievous were just cheap, throwaway characters with no depth or purpose. Lucas doesn't even understand his own creation.

  • George has such a good sense of humor.

  • I appreciate the efforts of these art department guys. It's just a shame Lucas couldn't write a good character to match up with the quality of their work.

  • Can't believe they originally designed the Magnaguards as Grievous

  • @yomama629 and a spray bottle nosle lol

  • I'd love to see how the early concept Grevios would have been onscreen. But I thought untimatley, Grevious was just a big, fun, scary looking puppet in true Star Wars movie fashion.

  • All of this sucks.

  • feng zhu and ian mccaig in one place. i just had a melt down of too much awesomeness

  • George Lucas may be the Face of Star Wars, but he in no way created every bit of the Star Wars Universe. Writers and creators and Artist do. He just gives the "Yes" or "No".

  • @staten0267 which, in a way, is the decisive choice...

  • @giobbecovattacol Dont get me wrong, im glad he tarted it and still handles his stuff. But he takes way to much credit i think.

  • @staten0267 I perfectly understand you... yet design is a very complicated aspect of filmmaking and a director can't totally control every single aspect of his movie. I say this as a filmmaker myself... so... check out my channel when you have the time to... I'm very young, only twelve, so... I'm trying to improve myself.

  • @giobbecovattacol I shall, and i respect him as a filmmaker. And only that, A filmmaker. And a person. but not as the sole creator of Star Wars. Ill check your page out now.

  • @staten0267 I agree with you on that. Lucas isn't the sole creator of the StarWars universe. Anyways... thank you for checking out my channel... I'm now writing the screenplay for a longer shortmovie which will hopefully become something more than my previous short-extremely short- films.

  • its so cool how one of the original concepts for greivous ended up being used as his bodyguards

  • Iain McCaig's pose at 2:31, should be a pose for the Villain

  • "i came up with the idea of grievous, hes kind of a alien in a droid shell"

no that artist came up with grievous, god i hate george lucas, he ruined his own creation with the prequels

  • @tom3167 What do you mean ruined he couldnt just do 4-5-6 and say ok thats a wrap lets fuck 1-2 and 3. And with the I created Grievous he wrote star wars and grievous was his imagination. you even saw him at the begining saying what he wanted. So yes he created Grievous. God I hate people who watch one star wars movie don't see the others then bitch like they know wtf they are talking about.

  • @hcosselman haha, you dont know what the hell you're talking about, ive been a fan of starwars since i was 3 years old im 19 now... ive seen every episode more than 30 times at least... george lucas ruined the prequels, in the originals he didnt have power on set and with decisions, on the prequels he did and look how they worked out...

  • @tom3167 He wasn't speaking as if he came up with the design. He spoke of how he created a character out of looking at the design that the artist created.

  • @Eldeecue I realize your comment is 2 months old however I wanted to point out that each of these villains Darth Maul, Count Doku, and Genereal Grevious were all apprentices of the main villain Darth Sidious. When one died Sidous would find a new one and at the end found the most powerful Darth Vader. I do not see why downgrading the prequels is necessary i find that they are great. However its your opinion and you are entitled to it.

  • @matrixman339 Wow a mature response on youtube? you sir deserve comendations. Thank you for having the decency to reply to someone like an adult and not a 6 year old. You sir are a gem

  • like fatness on a stick

  • I remember Grievious was intimidating then he coughs it sounded like he was weak.

  • @dlix oh he whas not weak that's for sure

  • Grievous was a great looking villain, it's just a shame they made him into a blithering idiot in the movies with a comical voice. If Lucas had spent as much time writing a solid story and characters as he did worrying about SFX, the prequels may not have been so shit.

  • @DarthCipient

Exactly....instead of having each of the prequels have its own underdeveloped, throwaway villain..he should have picked one to be around the whole thing....either Grievous or Maul--as much as Christopher Lee is the man....I dunno, he just never fit.

  • @DarthCipient shut up man

  • @lillolo2 Why would you want to shut up man? You should let man speak freely. Humanity must be liberated.

  • FINALLY! I've been looking for ages for some one to upload this.

    Thanks so much!

  • The ultimate scary guy, a kid?

    Somebody a parent?

    LOL

  • cool
