@GlobalGLader I am in agreeance with you the cyclist is just as guilty. They ride through red lights, ride up one way streets the wrong way, ignore no entry signs, ride on pavements and ride at night with no lights on. then when they do have lights on they arte flashing when they are supposed to be on permanent light just like every other vehicle on the road. I also ride a pushbike for pleasure but i also drive a car, a bus and a motorbike.
@CycleGaz go and check the law my friend it is illegal for front or rear lights to flash on British roads. If they were legal then ALL vehicles would have flashing lights. Go and ask a traffic cop and he will tell you what i have just told you.
The reason motorists hate cyclists is because people like you feel the need to shout and swear (an offence under the public order act 1986) even though you hold your line and are not hit thus it must have been a safe overtake, also if you aren't slowing down when a car/moped is trying to cross your lane then you clearly want to have to slam on your brakes so you can have a shout, I ride a motorcycle and you have to ride defensively (slowing when someone is trying to cross your lane in just case)
"It is a defence for the accused to prove that his conduct was reasonable." So swearing is acceptable if someone nearly knocks you off your bike. Don't worry, the police watch my videos, they know exactly what I do.
@hyylo The roads are actually there because of bicycles. Cars are the Johnny-come-latelys of the transport equation. It's just a shame that that we pander to them so much...
i know you will hate me. but i think its right what the cyclist do ( That means stick a camera in your fucking ugly face ;) ). if you guys hate road tax fuck off and buy a bike. sue these mother fuckers ass. There trying to kill you!
I'm appalled at the number of people here justifying their selfish driving habits, or criticising the cyclist because "you don't pay road tax". It just shows how inconsiderate these arseholes are. I gave up cycling because of such arseholes. Cycling is too dangerous in this country because of these attitudes.
My friend used to carry a big iron bar (cycle wrench) which used to buy him a lot more respect from drivers!!
People here who make comments about not using the C.lane, not Paying Tax, 1 or 2 of the clips is the cyclist fault.. R U insane ! I like Gaz drive & cycle, it seems to me that U idiot drivers just want to kill a cyclist, because this will happen if U do not give them room, sure some cyclist, drivers, M.cyclist R idiots but come on, the car/ van/ lorry is an elephant & we R ants so what happens if the elephant stands on an Ant ! need I say more..
you did a good job, this lot are all retarded, that's all i can say. Im not sure if there is rules like this on the road, but in the air people in gliders have priority over those with power. im sure there must be something similar. People can be such bell ends. really
I don't understand why people are giving you negative comments to be honest. All I see when I watch this is people thinking 'Might is right'. They then blame you for the near accident they caused. Hope your future expierences are better, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
I feel for you mate I really do. Car, Van, Bus, Truck drivers they just see a cyclist and say ah its fine he is only going slow il make this turn or get there before he does. Fucking cocksuckers the lot of them. They couldn't give a shit if they knock you off the bike and as we can see here most of them think you shouldn't even be on he road. I hope you sent the video off to the cops as there is some dangerous driving and you almost got knocked off and squashed against the path numours times.
Motorists are a bunch of inconsiderate, self-righteous idiots. Seeing this, I'm glad I live in Milton Keynes, where we have redways - wider footpaths that you're allowed to cycle on, rather than having to use the road and get morons like this nearly killing you.
@dunkin15151 Perhaps if you looked at the description then you would see that these clips are taken from a 2 year period of over 10,000 miles covered in rush hour in London. Most of my journeys are lovely and I don't even need to say a word, on a few occasions people nearly knock you off and if you can keep your self from shouting in that situation, then there is something wrong with you.
If I can touch a passing vehicle, then it is far too close.
@CycleGaz I agree that some drivers are completely thoughtless but the fact that you can touch a passing vehicle doesn't mean that you should, the idea just simply doesn't make sense. It endangers and distracts both you and the other driver. I will just re-iterate, antagonizing the drivers does not help, it will if anything make them more dangerous.
@dunkin15151 I'm not saying you should, the two that I did touch in this video where because they where squeezing me towards the pavement, slapping the metal work of a vehicle is a very effective warning tool to a motorist. Of course they hate it and it's something I would not advise and I would avoid where possible.

Also like you i've had my fair share of physical confrontations but at 6ft8 once there outta the car screaming and shouting it's never long before they wish they hadn't ha ha + the look on there faces is priceless.
I sympathize brother, I cycle and motorcycle around London on a regular basis and anyone who says drivers (not all but some) are not inconsiderate, arrogant and reckless are just kidding themselves. Like you I now have cameras on me where ever I go after several near misses left me wanting evidence should the worst happen. They don't seem to realize that if they hit you they can kill you and they wonder why we get upset!!!
I cycle and drive a (white ) van ! (and NO, not at the same time for the 'clowns' out here!) And I like to think I drive/cycle with due care and consideration to everyone.
Living in a very rural area I have problems more with people driving around bends on the wrong side of the road than psychotic, stressed 'drivers' as depicted in these videos, but seriously, that shithole London is one place on this planet that needs to be 'vanished' ! My commiserations to anyone living there
when i used to cycle to and from work i would get this all the time cars and cabs busses etc all driving without due care and attention i done what gaz did and got a helmet cam 6 drivers i caught on camera all got prosecuted by the police 2 of them actually Drove into the cycle lane to bypass the traffic.... good job gaz keep it up maybe drivers will come and take a look at what there doing..
use the cycle lane thats what its there for and thats what out taxes have paid for. you pay no road tax, your a pain in the ass, you shout at everyone, why are you shouting number plates out? it just makes me laugh. cyclists are a bloody menace as proved by the first 2 recordings by this fella who cant use a bloody cycle lane.
@slash77200 Your comments show how much you do not know about the road network.
Road tax? Doesn't exist - what you think is road tax is VED and it's based on the engine emmisions, a bicycle doesn't have an engine, so it pays £0.
Cyclists are not required to use the cycle lanes, sometimes they are dangerous and they are often advised to not use them. This does not then allow people to drive like compleatly idiots and try to bully people off the roads.
@CycleGaz At 4:42 isn't that a solid white line? Would be good to know if anything happens to these pricks. I am a driver and can't ride a bike but have to watch bad driving. With that said, it just goes to prove what little protection cyclist get on the road. However, there are a number of cyclist who are very bad but for both drivers and cyclists we must always do the right thing if we can't we should just give it up!!!
@CycleGaz I'm a driver. motorcyclist and cyclist. A minority of drivers seem happy to cause the death of a cyclist because they consider themselves in the right. "Should be in the bike lane shouldn't you? " mentality. Few consider the consequences....prison and living with the guilt is a high price to pay for expressing a point.
You have an awful lot of complete A-holes caught on camera, however on occasions you appear to shout and rave when perhaps you could have been a little more thoughtful... For instance a lot of the time if I am driving and I see a motorcyclist coming up behind (going faster than me) I tend to tuck in a little bit just to give them the extra room.. When you have buses overtaking you and trucks and sometimes cars you seem to hold your line to prove a point...
@bidefordrfc I hold my line for a reason... If they try to squash you into the pavement when you are right next to the pavement, then you are screwed, if they do that when you are several feet away, you have time and room to brake to avoid having a collision.
Holding a strong line also forces people to overtake in the other lane, as they should do (see highway code rule 163)
The two I don't get are first white van and the last taxi. Neither come any where into the provided cycle lane. The taxi driver certainly had a point that you were moving into his space, regardless of the vehicle both parties have a responsibility.
The majority of other incidents yes they are mistakes or just ignorance on car drivers part but you are far to easy to make a big deal out of nothing. You came to safe stop in most cases, you saw what was coming. I don't understand the shouting.
@Gr33nMamba oh come on, watch them again. The taxi moved into my line and forced me to slow down dramatically. You wouldn't do that to a HGV, so why do it to a bicycle?
@CycleGaz I'm a HGV driver and people do that to me all the time! You'll find ignorant drivers are ignorant regardless of what vehicle the other guy is in!
@Gr33nMamba It's all very well saying "yes they are mistakes or just ignorance on car drivers part..." but when those "mistakes" or "ignorance" happen as often as they do, and each one can potentially cause you injury it's understandable that a reaction occurs.
The problem is that these "mistakes" and this "ignorance" is widely believed by motorist to be acceptable. This has to change, and it is going to take people like cyclegaz to highlight the problem and yes, to make a big deal out of it.
CycleGaz, sometimes it seems you use more road than necessary, provoking impatience, and make a big deal by shouting & bashing when there's no real danger to you. Why not be more Zen and focus on defensive preparation for others' poor driving? When I adopted this attitude it lowered my stress levels and increased my safety at the same time (I've motorcycled London so I'm not biased against 2 wheels). Of course if you're just hamming it up for the camera & YouTube value then carry on! ;)
@Ainznando More road than necessary? That screams impatient driver who doesn't want to share the road. All cyclists want is to be safe, and that often means taking more space, not less.
I ride is a small town villages environments pulling trailers and is it amazing how many motor vehicle users (note i said vehicle and not cars as the problem is all vehicle to some extent) but with that said its not always the drivers fault its the lack of education for drivers regarding cyclists most seem to think you are not aloud on the roads when in reality we have as much if not more rights on the road than a motor vehicle
Just because someone is on a bike doesn't make them any less human, have consideration for all road users and quit trying to rush around in your cars, and I'm not even a cyclist.
I love the genuine seriousness of some of the comments blaming you, the victim of the situations, as the problem, cyclist ride in the middle of the road to be seen easier, fixing the SMIDSY issue, you ride like a car, your more likely to be noticed. Also, by law, a cyclist is allowed a WHOLE lane, cyclist lanes are optional, and not used if the user deems them unsafe.
Cycle at the same speed as cars go and nobody will block you. As simple as that. Also, have a 65w headlight so that other drivers can see you, especially under bad weather. A bike doesn't make you a hero, you're still smaller and less important than people with cars.
@CycleGaz It's more than obvious. If you want to be equal, then ACT equal. Cars are waiting and a bike goes to front of the line between them (its called "filtering", right?). And if it's legal - it's a shame.
Nobody will allow this in any queue. Why should car drivers allow that to motorcycles and bicycles?
@MrJustGood Less important? No, driving a car does not make you more important on the road than a cyclist, everyone is equal. Cycling is not a way of feeling like a hero, it is a way of keeping fit and healthy, if someone prefers red to blue, will you question them on their choice too?
most of these where the cyclists fault tbh you can stop far quicker than a car and you should never hit someones car they are worth alot more than you bike
I don't see how any of these are the cyclist fault, although it's hard to tell with the last one, as a motorcyclist I have often had idiots like this causing no end of nuisance and frustration, the only difference I have the power to get away or catch up...anyway safe riding
I thought driving standards in Plymouth were bad! I too have started posting similar footage using my DriftCam. You'd think regular road users such as Taxi and Bus drivers would know better but are very often the worst offenders. As for calling out the VRN's. That's a damn good idea as I too have often had trouble picking out VRN's even on a HD camera especially in bad weather. Keep 'em coming, I will be!
Four types of ground transport. Walking, motor, horse, and bike. Come on city aldermen do something about all this mess. Everyone has a choice of there chosen type of transport, and all should be safe. Take a look at Holland and learn how to start doing it.
amazing how many people in comments, want to blame you, the cyclist, and look for excuses for aggressive, dangerous, stupid and illegal driving stunts by motorists. Even when there is clear video evidence of it! Astonishing! Despite this, thanks for the video, I hope it makes people think twice before they decide to cut-off a cyclist.
By the way, I wonder if to many viewers in US and other countries it is not clear what the drivers are doing wrong because of left-side of the road driving.
Why not carry a tin of "spray white grease" for their windows and mirrors. It's not like they use them, is it?? The first time they go to wipe the windscreen, they invaribly use water.... which will smear the window, leaving you free to carry on your journey safely, as they struggle to clean it off!
@Jossnaz A few get fined, a couple get letters from the police. It's perfectly legal to film in a public place, there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. I've confirmed with the Police and the Information commissioner than uploading such footage online is also legal.
Yeah, people in London can't drive, but not only that, the traffic light system is shit plus there are no real cycling lanes. I wonder how many cyclists die every year in London...
@CycleGaz No, I am not really able to cycle in London or Paris (else sundays). Cycle paths are very narrow in London. Here these are larger and, in Paris, often protected by an high concrete curb.
@CycleGaz Yep setting up the airzound over the back brake lever is better I find. The front does the majority of the work and the back stops you generally going over the bars. Thus fingers on the front disc brake, and the thumb makes the noise. Simples. Yes I do ride an MTB with hydraulic discs so have less of a problem than roadies do.
@RocketScientist79 That's what you think :P if you use drop handlebars then you can put the airzound in the drop and thus you can trigger it with your little finger whilst braking ;)
@CycleGaz Yep I have an ancient road bike, but to make that thing stop requires a herculean pull on the drops, Nope with that I wouldn't bother. Which lever side do you have it on by the way (Front or back brake handed?) and which way does the diaphone bell mouth point?
Amazing that people can see no wrong in drivers of large boxes of metal, despite glaring video proff of ba driving. It's always the cyclist's fault. Now try this little game. The video camera is fitted to your car, and the above incidents happen. Now comment?
Nice footage and if the number plate is not captured on video the audio will pick up your voice sounding it out. I use the same technique.
BTW, looks like Purple's parents have left their computer unsupervised. Most trolls that post on channels sound like 16yos with problems then I check out their channel and to my surprise these are middle-aged men in their 40s but in Purple's case I'll make an exception, 18yo max.
@CycleGaz Yep the usual lowlife scum here to troll us again! @ 1 x purple we read out the number plate so there is no doubt about the identity when it comes to getting the driver prosecuted and endorsements applied in the courts for poor quality driving.
@1xPurple It's nothing to do with superiority, and everything to do with properly capturing evidence of the vehicle number plate. The cameras don't always get this, and without a registration it's not possible to bring consequences to the drivers for their misbehaviour.
@Tidermans You mean the cycle lane which is dangerously narrow?
If you watch the full video then you will see that I had just overtaken about 4 cyclists and I overtook another one in that clip. Funnily enough I can't levitate over other cyclists but drivers can use the other lane to overtake.
Might I suggest carrying a small ball peen hammer either in a holster on the handlebar or tethered to your right wrist. An "accidental" light tap on a door window , fender, door or bonnet will certainly get their attention. The sound of breaking glass gets attention fast.
@emtildeath The wide angle lenses I use do not show how much speed is lost or gained very well. In every situation I slowed down to avoid having any kind of collision and I moved out of the way when possible to avoid any incident of any kind.
4.43 theres a lot of bleeping then the word fuck. My good god, what awful words must have preceded it for them to merit bleeping more than fuck. I can think of a few, but not a sentence's worth.
@depalmo1 Well I think it should be the right of UK citizens to ram renault and citroen drivers off the road, like the cowards you were in the 2nd world war and still are to this day and because they are such COMPLETE SHITE CARS for european FUCKWITS LIKE YOU! Depth charge the channel tunnel whilst we are at it and keep Britain an island as it should be! and dont get the rest of us started on the Falklands war or Gibraltar which we own! Both are British Owned and FUCK ANYBODY ELSE!!!!!
Why do we, car drivers, hate cyclist? The taxi driver at 0:22 well putted: "get in the fucking cycle lane ...". Even in our country cyclist think that they are above the law, that they can do whatever they want on the road and that we, car drivers, are bastards, and u didn't do nothing wrong.
After viewing some of your videos I did something that I do very rarely, I wrote comment. YOU, my "friend" abuses your "status" as cyclist. That's why car drivers always push you out of the road and HATE u!
@depalmo1 Is it not you, the car driver that thinks they can do what they want and tell others what they must do? My cycling follows the national standards set out by the department for transport and the Institute of Advanced Motorists agree with what the say. You obviously aren't an Advanced Motorist.
Most of you are making this a "them vs us" thing. That's not the problem and certainly not the solution. This video can help pointing at this problem, and get people into action. Build a safer road and everyone will be happy. Including drivers. You don't think that cabby (0:20) was happy with the situation, do you? Watch "Complete Streets: It's About More Than Bike Lanes"
It could be so different... All you need is good infrastructure. See "What defines Dutch cycling?" Keep courage and keep taking action. It's not the cyclist's fault, it's the infrastructure!
Cyclists don't like other vehicles passing them. It's a subconscious frustration that somebody has passed them & is making progress. With of course the exception of the drivers not giving way on the roundabouts. It's as if each vehicle that comes within the peripheral area of a cyclist has to past a test of driving competence. Most cyclists do not adhere to the strictest rules of the road; lane blocking, complete absence of signaling & observation. Not many cyclists give way to other road users.
@OoshkaHusky I don't have any problems with other vehicles passing me, as long as they do it safely. I adhere to all the rules that apply to cyclists on the road.
@CycleGaz The problem is with these drivers is they have more than likely seen the small fraction of bad cyclist (and you are not in this category) who jump red lights etc. I drive HGV's and you will sometimes be turning left at lights so you are far over to the right to allow for the trailer, lights turn green you pull off and then get a cyclist come up the inside also turning left moaning at you for clipping them. Because of this I think people think "sod them" (continued in next commet)
@CycleGaz (continued) and just barge through. This is not right. As with a lot of things it is always the small percentage that spoil it for the rest. I for one give room and overtake as far over to the right as possible (depending on road). I do not want to be responsible for taking the life of someone. Anyway, what's the rush. I am paid by the hour ;-). Anyway, keep safe.
@geezah22 flipping HGV drivers always taking up so much room when you are turning!! I only joke. I've gotta say HGV drivers are some of the best on the road. a few sour grapes but respect the larger vehicle and they respect you back. Safe driving.
Great stuff get them drivers educated, aggressive idiots.

My friend used to carry a big iron bar (cycle wrench) which used to buy him a lot more respect from drivers!!

CycleGaz 1 week ago
@CycleGaz I agree that some drivers are completely thoughtless but the fact that you can touch a passing vehicle doesn't mean that you should, the idea just simply doesn't make sense. It endangers and distracts both you and the other driver. I will just re-iterate, antagonizing the drivers does not help, it will if anything make them more dangerous.
dunkin15151 1 week ago
@dunkin15151 I'm not saying you should, the two that I did touch in this video where because they where squeezing me towards the pavement, slapping the metal work of a vehicle is a very effective warning tool to a motorist. Of course they hate it and it's something I would not advise and I would avoid where possible.

use the cycle lane thats what its there for and thats what out taxes have paid for. you pay no road tax, your a pain in the ass, you shout at everyone, why are you shouting number plates out? it just makes me laugh. cyclists are a bloody menace as proved by the first 2 recordings by this fella who cant use a bloody cycle lane.
slash77200 1 week ago
@slash77200 Your comments show how much you do not know about the road network.
Road tax? Doesn't exist - what you think is road tax is VED and it's based on the engine emmisions, a bicycle doesn't have an engine, so it pays £0.
Cyclists are not required to use the cycle lanes, sometimes they are dangerous and they are often advised to not use them. This does not then allow people to drive like compleatly idiots and try to bully people off the roads.
CycleGaz 1 week ago 12
@CycleGaz At 4:42 isn't that a solid white line? Would be good to know if anything happens to these pricks. I am a driver and can't ride a bike but have to watch bad driving. Check out my other channel 'Silly Cyclists', cyclists also comment on other cyclists.
CycleGaz 1 week ago
@CycleGaz I'm a driver. motorcyclist and cyclist. A minority of drivers seem happy to cause the death of a cyclist because they consider themselves in the right. "Should be in the bike lane shouldn't you? " mentality. Few consider the consequences....prison and living with the guilt is a high price to pay for expressing a point.
maclachj1 1 week ago
@slash77200 Road Tax doesn't exist. It is on emissions which means a bicycle pays £0. Does that mean electric cars can drive on the road either?
Hartsock91 1 week ago
You have an awful lot of complete A-holes caught on camera, however on occasions you appear to shout and rave when perhaps you could have been a little more thoughtful... For instance a lot of the time if I am driving and I see a motorcyclist coming up behind (going faster than me) I tend to tuck in a little bit just to give them the extra room.. When you have buses overtaking you and trucks and sometimes cars you seem to hold your line to prove a point...
Hope you reported the overtint @ 3:48
bidefordrfc 1 week ago
@bidefordrfc I hold my line for a reason... If they try to squash you into the pavement when you are right next to the pavement, then you are screwed, if they do that when you are several feet away, you have time and room to brake to avoid having a collision.
Holding a strong line also forces people to overtake in the other lane, as they should do (see highway code rule 163)
CycleGaz 1 week ago
The two I don't get are first white van and the last taxi. Neither come any where into the provided cycle lane. The taxi driver certainly had a point that you were moving into his space, regardless of the vehicle both parties have a responsibility.
The majority of other incidents yes they are mistakes or just ignorance on car drivers part but you are far to easy to make a big deal out of nothing. You came to safe stop in most cases, you saw what was coming. I don't understand the shouting.
Gr33nMamba 1 week ago
@Gr33nMamba oh come on, watch them again. The taxi moved into my line and forced me to slow down dramatically. You wouldn't do that to a HGV, so why do it to a bicycle?
CycleGaz 1 week ago 6
@CycleGaz I'm a HGV driver and people do that to me all the time! You'll find ignorant drivers are ignorant regardless of what vehicle the other guy is in!
AWMJoeyjoejoe 1 week ago
@Gr33nMamba It's all very well saying "yes they are mistakes or just ignorance on car drivers part..." but when those "mistakes" or "ignorance" happen as often as they do, and each one can potentially cause you injury it's understandable that a reaction occurs.
The problem is that these "mistakes" and this "ignorance" is widely believed by motorist to be acceptable. This has to change, and it is going to take people like cyclegaz to highlight the problem and yes, to make a big deal out of it.
markyjl 1 week ago
CycleGaz, sometimes it seems you use more road than necessary, provoking impatience, and make a big deal by shouting & bashing when there's no real danger to you. Why not be more Zen and focus on defensive preparation for others' poor driving? When I adopted this attitude it lowered my stress levels and increased my safety at the same time (I've motorcycled London so I'm not biased against 2 wheels). Of course if you're just hamming it up for the camera & YouTube value then carry on! ;)
Ainznando 1 week ago
@Ainznando How do you suggest that one rides defensively in preparation for others poor driving? As i'm pretty sure i'm already doing that.

@Ainznando More road than necessary? That screams impatient driver who doesn't want to share the road. All cyclists want is to be safe, and that often means taking more space, not less.

Cycle at the same speed as cars go and nobody will block you. As simple as that. Also, have a 65w headlight so that other drivers can see you, especially under bad weather. A bike doesn't make you a hero, you're still smaller and less important than people with cars.

@CycleGaz Yep setting up the airzound over the back brake lever is better I find. The front does the majority of the work and the back stops you generally going over the bars. @CycleGaz Yep the usual lowlife scum here to troll us again! @ 1 x purple we read out the number plate so there is no doubt about the identity when it comes to getting the driver prosecuted and endorsements applied in the courts for poor quality driving.
RocketScientist79 3 weeks ago
@1xPurple It's nothing to do with superiority, and everything to do with properly capturing evidence of the vehicle number plate. The cameras don't always get this, and without a registration it's not possible to bring consequences to the drivers for their misbehaviour.

OoshkaHusky 1 month ago
@OoshkaHusky I don't have any problems with other vehicles passing me, as long as they do it safely. I adhere to all the rules that apply to cyclists on the road.
CycleGaz 1 month ago 10
@CycleGaz The problem is with these drivers is they have more than likely seen the small fraction of bad cyclist (and you are not in this category) who jump red lights etc. I drive HGV's and you will sometimes be turning left at lights so you are far over to the right to allow for the trailer, lights turn green you pull off and then get a cyclist come up the inside also turning left moaning at you for clipping them. Because of this I think people think "sod them" (continued in next commet)
geezah22 4 weeks ago
@CycleGaz (continued) and just barge through. This is not right. As with a lot of things it is always the small percentage that spoil it for the rest. I for one give room and overtake as far over to the right as possible (depending on road). I do not want to be responsible for taking the life of someone. Anyway, what's the rush. @geezah22 flipping HGV drivers always taking up so much room when you are turning!! I only joke. I've gotta say HGV drivers are some of the best on the road. a few sour grapes but respect the larger vehicle and they respect you back. Safe driving.

I have a stretch of Rd near me (Coventry) called Kenilworth road.
It has a HUGE cycle path and yet I still meet cyclist on the 50mph road!??
That to me is a typical cyclist.
I think its because they would have to stop for the junctions if they rode on the cycle path.
