This is one of my first favorite Christians songs after I came in to church in 1991. I felt the H.G. when I listened to it a few minutes ago, AWESOME, what ever happened to him?? now he has Alzheimers disease. so sad.

I think it's a great song, and I like Glen Campbell. But the joke about the Irish priest preaching hellfile and asking his congregation to stand up if they want to go to heaven is not apt because there's really no such thing as hellfire preachin' (at least according to that definition) in the Catholic Mass. It would've been funnier if it were a Baptist or Pentecostal preacher.

I think that Glen didn't make it reference to BAPTIST OR Pentecostal..where probably most of the people sitting in the odience where likely that bible-based types; being that said, it was just to lighten up the service that night. I laughted it was funny.

I was raised catholic/now borne-again faith mixed.

What i love about this clip is that it's completely raw, no studio additives or anything... and his voice is just pure and strong as anything! Gotta love Glenn! And this is probably my favorite song to hear him sing too, it's so personal.

I completely agree.... I prefer this version to the CD version quite a bit. There are quite a few clips on here of him with huge orchestras, it is just great to hear the clarity of his voice live. Just him and his guitar!
