  • @theshninja my bad, the first line sounded like u were saying bjj cane from JJ

  • haha well done buddy im a blue belt myself bjj all the way !!!

  • hahaha wise move, pull guard on the judo guy. I'd be doing the same thing

  • @JordForster either that or jumping it, just dont go for a throw!

  • Why are they doing a judo guy against a jiu jitsu guy by jiu jitsu guy rules? And why did the blue belt wait until the last minute to look like a jiu jitsu blue belt?

  • i like bjj more probably cuz i do it but mad respect for judo

  • Judo is better

  • A bjj practitioner would win a fight a judo does not make it better, anyone can lose a fight, even a beginner.

I have practicing BJJ for a year and took three years in Judo, and I can say that at all the ground BJJ is better, much as people say, precisely the problem of too many BJJ techniques are practiced but are not very good anywhere in Judo are few but very good.

    Pd: LESS IS MORE

    Pd: MENOS ES MAS

  • A judo blacks ground game is a kin to a bjj white.

  • @19thaman79 Not the case, you'd be suprised by what a judo black belt can catch you with on the ground.

  • @19thaman79 That is not entirely true.I know a few judo black belts who would give BJJ black belts a run for their money. Not saying they are better but are not a million miles behind.

  • all judo and bjj matches end up on the ground that's true. But only bjj matches STAY on the ground for more than a few seconds. Most judo dojos focus 90% of their time on throws from the feet because they cater to olympic style Judo, which has participants spend only a few seconds on the ground after a throw.

That's why Judokas spend 90% of time on their feet, and bjj spends 90% time rolling.

If this were an olympic style judo match, the result would be different. but this is a bjj match.

  • @BootyBot but you see takeing someone down and then getting back up is stupid and useless thats why i like bjj because a submission ends the fight not a throw. ive not seen one judo match where a guy takes someone down as does not get taken down as well. i would very much like to see a match where someone takes someone down and is still stays standing. if a judo guys takes down a bjj guy it doesnt matter they both go down and the bjj guy will dominate. judo is a sport now nothing else

  • @navyteccs bjj is a sport too. That's all.

  • @BootyBot bjj has a sports side but any move could be used to either tap, snap, nap or even kill a person if needed. that is all

  • @navyteccs so does judo considering every submission came from judo.

  • @BootyBot hahahahah you just took this conversation in a big circle

  • @navyteccs thats how i roll

  • @BootyBot lol

  • @navyteccs If you are in a real situation it is much better to be the one who lands on top.The Gracies traveled miles just to be taught by Neil Adams.Bjj is great in the cage or on the mat but i would rather be a good judo player in a street situation.

  • @Thensolomonsaid lol i get a lot of comments from guys like you and they all stop commenting because they know they are wrong. judo guys are taught alot of take downs but they dont know as much after that. you could take a bjj guy down but you would just land in his gaurd and if you didnt then you would end up there. even in a all judo street fight the match would still end on the ground. judo focuses on take downs and bjj focuses on wrestling and submissions i would rather be the bjj guy an win

  • @navyteccs Who says i'm wrong? There is no right or wrong just opinions.I am a judo and Bjj player. Most of my time has been in judo and when i first went to Bjj classes i would always end up on top especially when they realised they couldn't take me down and dragged me into guard from where i would have an advantage in a real fight.I have lost count how many times someone has tried to armbar me and i have picked them off the ground and could have slammed them into the ground.

  • @Thensolomonsaid The majority of Bjj players i have rolled with can lay on their backs and defend real well in a submission contest.Put in head butts ,eye gouging, body slamming, elbows and all of a sudden the ability to lay there and think like a chess player is taken away.Bjj is a great sport and is really good to learn for self defence but i believe too many players fall on their backs too easily because they cannot wrestle as well.I suppose it all depends on how you practice.

  • @Thensolomonsaid That's where MMA comes in. In an actual fight a BJJ player cannot limit himself to sport rules. He can head butt, eye gouge, body slam, use elbows etc. as well.

Think modern MMA. Every one of them is practiced and talented in BJJ, (you can't expect to compete successfully without it) but they've added to their repertoire and are now dangerous.

  • @mrsparkle001 I totally agree. All i was saying was that in my experience of Bjj players is a lot of them fall straight onto their backs because they have no stand up and i end up on top and if you train like that then you will fight like that and in the street you don't want to go there.I love BJJ but in Judo it is etched in your brain not to go onto your back so when i wrestle BJJ players i end up on top most of the time and in the street this is where i would rather be.

  • @Thensolomonsaid Hmm true. Their problem is that they think the goal in BJJ is to be on your back when it's really to get to the ground. A BJJ player will be more comfortable on his back than a non-player, but it's a position you want to get out of. Newer, inexperienced BJJ players spend a lot of time training on their back - escapes, guards, sweeps etc. Then there's submissions like triangle chokes that are easiest when on your back. (and fun to do).

Oh well. Enjoy showing them their folly :)

  • @mrsparkle001 Hmm the triangle choke been caught in that a few times.I'm quite good at defending that now but you have to be quick.I often wondered if i ever tried to do this for real (against a nutter ) if i would get my bits bit off if you know what i mean.Anyway Bjj is great to do i just wish they would change the rules a little to stop the falling onto back bit. In judo i wish they would allow a little bit more time on the floor. Both great to practice.

  • @Thensolomonsaid Well Mel Gibson did it at the end of Lethal Weapon vs Gary Busey.

    v=PnSHQHXvaTU

That's before anyone knew what the heck it was.

But yeah it's a situational thing. You can get bit or even picked up and slammed. More than likely though you'll roll around like when I manage to do it...if your legs are locked the roll does nothing for your opponent.

  • Yeeaahh!!!! Reppin for bjj pros!

  • there is grad atks in judo ?

  • very good guard game, mane, awesome open guard skills ! I recently got promoted to blue belt and I'm kinda struggling with my open guard, yours is very good ! also very good tactical approach against a judoka! congrats !

  • @carlsongracieteam That's not true. Judo doesn't have a super limited ground game. A good example of this is the fight between Royce Gracie and Hidehiko Yoshida, where Yoshida (a Judo fighter) dominated the fight, which took place almost entirely on the ground. There are other examples of this as well, but I just thought I'd use an example that hits close to home.

  • Comment removed

  • @carlsongracieteam Everyone knows that Judo competition is different from actual Judo. There is also Helio Gracie's fight vs Masahiko Kimura, where Helio was basically Masahiko's woman for about 13 minutes or so.

  • Comment removed

  • @carlsongracieteam I understand it is more advanced and evolved on the ground than Judo is, however, you said that Judo has a super limited ground game which isn't true. A good Judo student is a more than capable opponent for a good BJJ student.

  • Comment removed

  • @carlsongracieteam Again, Judo competition is different from actual Judo. Any Judoka will tell you that. Look up Kosen Judo as well as Judo Newaza.

  • Comment removed

  • @carlsongracieteam If that's the case then why am I finding Judokas beating BJJ guys in grappling? I'm not the ignorant one here. Even in the suggestion links on the side of this very page, there is a video called judo(black belt) Vs Bjj(black belt) where the Judoka submits the BJJ guy with a choke.

  • Comment removed

  • @carlsongracieteam Hassen Moussa won the Gold at the ADCC 2008 its on you tube, High end Judo players in the UFC and MMA off the top of my head Kim the Stun gun, yoshihiro Aikiyama,Hidehiko Yoshida ,Rick Hawn ,Pawel Nastula,Emelianeko Fedor ,Yushin Okami has a Judo black but he also a boxer and wrestler competed at ADCC 2003 Makoto Takimoto olympic gold pride fighter , and if you look up MMA fighters with Judo black belts you will be surprised like a couple of Gracies.

  • Comment removed

  • @carlsongracieteam wrong look at Pride Fighters and you will more then half were Judoka and with Okami how would you know know which throws are Judo or wrestling when Judo adapts to no gi the throws look alot like wrestiling DUH! But you wouldnt know that because you have NO TAKE GAME.

  • @carlsongracieteam And ADCC is not the goal of Pure Judoka its the gold at the olympics and while on the subject why is bjj trying so hard to become an olympic game? and also you said name a few pure Judo guys in the MMA name few prue BJJ guys you cant becuase MMA is just that MMA once again look up MMA fighters with Judo bakck grounds and why they took Judo takedown and take down defense something BJJ Lacks

  • @carlsongracieteam do you have a web site for your school all I found was Gracie in chicago and Nick Tarpeins martial arts center in Moline ? I would like to know how far it is from me

  • Comment removed

  • @carlsongracieteam do you have a website with your schools hours and days so I can see when I can come down and roll

  • @carlsongracieteam Dude you are like 3 hours away from me I have no problem taking you up on your challenge but a 3 hour drive for rolling I will see , I will call your school and work something out, Oh I have BJJ insurance as well Judo ins , so there should be no issue also how about this there is a Judo tourney coming up in March 19th down in Rosemont IL why don't you put your money where your mouth is, I am competing middle heavy 170 to 185 why not compete and show your BJJ skills,

  • Comment removed

  • @carlsongracieteam I am doing a Naga in chicago may 30th so I quess with all your BJJ skills your all talk I already told you I have no problem coming to your school I have the address 2004 16th st Moline IL 612565

Right ? and you can't do a Judo tourney WHY a Judoka is doing a NAGA .

  • Comment removed

  • @carlsongracieteam I am also a Jit player a white and as a Judoka I know how to work the guard

  • Comment removed

  • @carlsongracieteam Cant have Jit today and Kick boxing Tuesday but I will leave with this next time do a judo tourney before you come on here bashing something you know nothing about I have seen plenty of Jit guys in Judo tourneys and some times the win & sometimes they lose but they at least tried they learned to respect the art of Judo

  • @carlsongracieteam Okay I would like any BJJer here too explain how a BJJ white enters a Judo tourney and fights a black Belt ? 1. USA Judo has Jr . Sr. Novice Masters(brown and Black belts) 2. everyone is sperated by Age Weight and Rank? so I really don't buy these videos, all non black belt contestants have to have thier packet sighned by a shodan, check out USAJUDO Events and look at any packet on there plus you have too send in your proof of rank too usajudo for insrunce .

  • Comment removed

  • @carlsongracieteam as far as Penn he was also tapping out BJJ black belts and I AM talking about these current BJJ white belt video vs Judo black belt once agian Judo has all players sperated by age rank and weight and do you want me to hop on you dick is that why you take BJJ? ARE YOU TO SCARED TO TAKE JUDO beacuse your in the closet are we will find on doing Ne Waza?

  • Comment removed

  • @carlsongracieteam I'LL look up your school times and hours

  • @carlsongracieteam No Judo does have a ground Game not as high end as BJJ but it is there and Kata does not come to Shodan (black belt) now on the flip side BJJ does not have a great takedown game when it comes to throws Before you comment I do take BJJ and I have rolled with white belts and some are good and the blue belts are well versed in the ground game but the throws taught are bad sorry, but the ground is cool and alot of it I already know at the "white belt level" because of Judo.

  • I tell you what: I've been doing bjj for quite some time, and every time I compete against a really good judo-guy, I get nervous. Same with really good wrestlers.

  • @shamantics me too! that's cuz they always seem to be more ambitious and also are very strong and they push and pull like crazy, they slam you, they grind their teeth, then they pull and push again, they stick your fingers in your muscles or tendons :D etc. even with no result, but they still hurt you and that's always boring, until they learn good enough ground. the gentle way my ass :D I'll take arte suave any day :D

  • the blue belt is not really that good of a blue belt it looks like.

  • boring

  • Bwahahahaah grappling is grappling, crappling is crappling

  • BJJ vs Judo blah, blah, blah. Same art----different rules.

  • can anyone help? i just started judo and really want to learn a hip throw but i am learning how to break fall, how long does it take to start learning moves?

  • @jackson25251 you cant practice throws until you can safely fall (so your training partner can also throw you). once you can fall right you'll do so much koshi waza you'll get sick of it. after a month or two the real training starts.

  • there really isnt a better fighting style its just how you apply it in real life

  • Does it have to be an argument of judo over jiu jitsu? Maybe he's just proud of winning out against somebody with more time experience than him.

  • Each art has its strengths and weaknesses, I think respecting one another is the best part of understanding each ones art. Good video :D

  • Didn't BJJ form from Judo?

I mean all of it, Sambo,BJJ and etc?

  • @JACKOTACO Yes.

  • @JACKOTACO yes. BJJ has increased emphasis on newaza (ground game) and small modifications to increase leverage. That's about it.

I do BJJ not judo but I'm perfectly willing to accept the fact that 99.9% of bjj subs originate from judo.

the reason the bjj fighter won was because bjj focuses much more on ground fighting. the environment gave the bjj fighter the edge.

  • @BootyBot it will always give bjj the edge because all bjj and judo matches end up on the ground. and bjj came from japanese jui jitsu not judo other wise it would of been called brazilian judo. i dont know why poeple keep saying it came from judo

  • @navyteccs nope it most differently did not.

    /watch?v=kjxXUFS4zQo&feature=fvwrel

that's japanese jui jitsu. That's definitely not where bjj came from. Not directly at least. Very few submissions in BJJ also exist in JJJ. Nearly every submission in BJJ, however exists in Judo. Ever heard of the gogoplata? It's called a Kagato-Jime in Judo.

And by the way, carlos gracie was a student of Mitsuya Maeda, a 7th degree black belt in Judo, not JJJ

    also,

  • @BootyBot the count was trained in jui jitsu and switched over to judo to focus on takeing down the fighters he was facing during his travels as a mma fighter

  • @JACKOTACO judo came from jui jitsu. bjj came from japanese jui jitsu, it has nothing to do with judo. i dont know why everyone keeps saying bjj came from judo

  • @JACKOTACO not bjj , sambo , judo ,aikido ,hapkido all are son of the japan jujitsu , is the mother or the ground art marcials art

  • @JACKOTACO hahah no man , thats a VERY famopuse rumor , everybody thinks that ... but search deep in their history , you will see that japanese jiujitsu was first formed (about 3000 years ago ) it was forbidded for normal people to learn it , only for samurai armies .. ten schools were formed , one of these schools was very good in takedowns and the owner was Kodokan Judo , so he decided to branch out , and make a whole new sport .... thats were judo came from , my friend :)

  • @TheDeathTriangle Jigoro Kano was the Jujutsu Master who founded Judo as a sport form of the combat Art of Jujutsu. He called his school the Kodokan.

  • @senseirisenburg

He said its a self defense idea. Just made it to a sport to gain more popularity.

  • @OVERCAPITALIZE ? Yeah, I was just pointing out that THE Founder of Judo was Jigoro Kano....and he was...lol. Jujutsu certainly has self-defense applications as does Judo......so I am genuinely not sure what you were sayin to me. Judo has Amazing throws, BJJ has sophisticated ground work. So to me the question is what do you want to get out of your training? That should guide you. I think both are serviceable in a self defense situation against an untrained opponent.

  • @senseirisenburg

Lol. My bad. Replied to the wrong person.

  • @senseirisenburg this isnt japenese jijitsu but brazilian

  • @JACKOTACO Sorta, the samurai origanally practiced something called Japanese Ju-Jitsu (Back then just called Ju-Jitsu) and from THAT art came Judo, then Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu was fromed from both Japanese Jiu-Jitsu AND Judo (but mostly Judo) today Japanese Ju-Jitsu is somewhat obsolete compared to Brazillia Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, Sambo however I think was formed originally from Judo and Russian Folk Wrestling, however due to the new BJJ popularity, Sambo has adopted many things from it.

  • @JACKOTACO no, it formed from japanese jiu jitsu

  • @HyeDaViT It does however come from the same lineage of Japanese jujutsu that judo does.

  • @JACKOTACO Sort of... The judo that BJJ came from was called jujutsu when it branched off, which is why it still bears that name (however, Romanized differently as jiu-jitsu).

  • @theshninja it was jujitsu actualy

  • @theshninja actually BJJ came from Judo, the reason why BJJ is known as brazilian jiu-jitsu OR Gracie Jiu Jitsu is cause at the beginning judo was known as Kano Jiu Jiutsu

  • @HouseIdiots That is what I just said. Read my comment again.

  • Also in the spirit of dr. kano, there are black belts that have skills that are not refined, it depends on how the person is as a whole, how they deal with other, etc.. the black belt looks like hes 50 something and out of shape.

good win btw, nice back movement into mount

  • Judo is jiu jitsu, hate to break it to ya... Judo people split there training between throws and ground work while bjj just does ground work. they SUCK at take downs.. hence for sakuraba vs gracie.. lying on your back instead of engaging is dis honorable in judo. a judoka will NEVER fall back to throw guard for an engage. It shows you have no WAZA

  • He jumped to the Guard, not always the best but one of my favorite moves for sure.

  • good job! =]

  • This pointless debate will go on for ever carried out by retards. Both are great styles just different. You get shit black belts in any martial arts. Belts hold trousers up. Hasnt any of you retards learned anything about cross training? EVERYONE DOES IT!!!!!!!! So should you or your arse will get bitched. STOP THE BJJ V JUDO DEBATE!!!!!!! Its pointless shit.

  • In the words of Rodney King.........Pass the rock!!!!! Just fuckin around, can't we all get along???

  • Any Martial Art guys has the potential to work if you apply it correctly. Having an instructor who has fought before and had to use the techniques they teach is a key factor. A second important factor is the individual, how hard are you willing to push yourself to be a better martial artist. Youtube trolls can say bla bla Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the best thing since dental floss, or Judo this, Karate that, doesn't matter, all comes down to experience and hard work.

  • i question the level of this black belt. i saw your match you're not a very good blue belt.

  • we have a few black belts and brown belts in judo at our club, one is a world champion, I would say generally a blue belts ground is better than a judo black belts, but judokas learn fast, and can throw you around even when on the ground

  • @marsy91 To say a Judoka learns faster is a little contradcitory to your beginning comment. I wrestle, train bjj and train a little judo and can say from experience as grappler that if you know one, the others are easy to learn being they are all grappling arts that have a lot of the same techniques.

  • I'm a Brown Belt in Traditional JJ with a slight amount of BJJ training, I also train Judo. I've tapped out a good few Judo BB's BUT I have utmost respect from Judokas. Their stand up randori is superior to mine, my ground game slightly better than theirs. Makes no sense to slag off Judo, after all BJJ is just fusen ryu Judo.

  • @LeviAAA It is a much more refined version of Fusen Ryu Jiu Jitsu. The techniques of Ryu Judo are rudimentary compared to modern BJJ. Judo also was derived from JJJ dating back to 1882 only about 20 years before BJJ. Ryu Fusen Judo was the Ne-Waza style of grappling used in traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu which gave birth to Judo and later BJJ.

  • I would say when choosing a martial arts ask yourself which one would you enjoy doing for a few years? if you would prefer throws and would like doing takedowns and submissions judo would be better. if you're more into the strength and grappling of bjj, and would enjoy a groudn competition then bjj would be better for you. it really doesn't make sense to do any martial arts unless you committ to in for a couple years at leaast.

  • @freespadersuggs Judo doesn't have alot of submissions and BJJ is contradictory to strength. BJJ has alot more ground work then Judo.

  • I agree with znjfl. great job JWince. This is a grappling tournament, so the judo person is competing in a bjj environment. Since bjj is more emphasizing the ground work of jiujitsu, one would expect bjj to be better at grappling. If a bjj person entered a judo competition where all throws were allowed and the mat was more open, then the results would probably be different. I think both martial arts are great. I hear this quesiton all the time of which is better.

  • @freespadersuggs that is so true I take both and welcome BJJers to enter Judo tourneys and like to see more Judoka in BJJ tourneys I think this will promote cross training .

  • he can't even pass a blue belt's guard :S

  • I'm sorry but this Judoka 'Black belt' is pretty awful.

  • Luta ricucula!!!!sem movimentação nehuma!!!!manda esses dois treinar jj aqui no brasil, pra ver o que é bom....

  • hahahahaha what is this? try sometime to play with a real judoka.you will not have 5 sec!

  • The real judoka will destroy this idiot!

in Russian we destroy this BJJ fools!

  • yeah yeah keep dreaming of course

  • @Samboussr Fuck you!!! BJJ guys would crush you faggot Sambo homos, just ask Fedor!!!!

  • @19thaman79 I`ve shit in my pants men! and of course I all ready talk with Fedor, and he say you are faggot Bjj! Bjj or Gjj just crap. dont get offendet men, try something else than Bjj, something working against more opponent in the street.

  • @Samboussr You've shit your pants because you commy Russians are a bunch of faggots. If you talk to Fedor, ask him how a BJJ guys nuts smell, he should know, he was practically blowing Werdum!!!

  • @19thaman79 you welcome moron, by the way, I´ve talk to Fedor and company, and hi

say Bjj is crap. dont get mad boy, you are fighting like shiit.

Bjj og Gjj is nothing you cant use in real fight in the street ( Real Life) go and learn proper japanese Ju jutsu.

  • @Samboussr Keep your dreams of knowing Fedor and all your fantasies of what you want him to do to you to yourself, faggot!!!!

  • @19thaman79 HARHARHARHARHARHARHAR!!! YOUR MOM idiot! do you call this submission grappling? buhahahaha

  • @19thaman79 stupid yankee! you fight like an monkey, why dont you learn some good Judo throw, you moron!

  • @Samboussr How the fuck would you know how I fight? Oh' thats right you can tell over the internet!!! Do me and the rest of the world a favor, kill yourself, homo.

  • @19thaman79 Hi, say hello to you mom, you moron and imbecile :-)

  • I really hate this Bjj vs Judo nonsense.

They are both extremely similair arts, and they complete each other.

Judo has a great ground game,Bjj has better ground game,Bjj has great takedowns,Judo has better takedowns.Neither is better than the other, its all about situation.Sometimes a simple throw and pinning will be anough to win a fight, and sometimes you will need better ground game.

I hate Judokas that talk shit about Bjj but i also hate Bjj practicioners who talk shit about Judo.

  • The main difference in Judo and Bjj ground game is in the smoothnes of movement.Bjj practicioners move alot smoother on the ground than Judokas, just like Judokas have better balance and posture in the standup.

We all know exactly the same techniques, its just in the way we use them.

  • Well spoken!

  • you said it all there. it is fuckin nonsense. there best used together plain and simple. they go together like bread and butter u cant have bread without the butter! infact..... lol

  • Exactly :)

  • @znjfl sambo is the best.......

  • @pravarokija

Don`t think the overall scores would agree with you but whatever, lets just not start this...

  • @znjfl both practitioners are stupid to diss each other. Judo is the mother of bjj while bjj is an amazing asset to have

  • @znjfl they both suck as self defence arts, because weapons win every time. my blackbelt bjj instructor was robbed by a 10 year old with a knife in brazil.. who wants to get stabbed?

jiu jitsu and judo are studied together by anyone who takes their sport seriously. anyone who talks about how much 'better' jiu jitsu is than judo hasnt been doing it long enough to know when to keep their mouth shut.

  • @znjfl I have an idea, Why don't all us Judo/BJJ guys get together and hate on everyone else? LOL!!! Just kidding around. I completely agree with you.

  • @19thaman79 That could be fun for a while :)

Its getting really tiresome when we badmouth each other and then have to take on strikers aswell :)

  • @znjfl LOL!!! Do you train?

  • @19thaman79 annoying thing that people think they are INSTANTLY badasses when they train MMA

BJJ CAME from judo and most of the famous gracies were judo black belts

and if you ask then yes I do train

    MMA and Bujikan/Toshindo NInjitsu

Muay Thai, BJJ, Judo and I'm a varsity freshman wrestler as my MMA arts

I've been doing it since age five and I'm 15

  • @mmaninjitsu I don't understand what your saying or where your coming from(point of view)??? BJJ didn't technically come from Judo although Kano allowed Tabane to train his Kodokan students his variation of of Fusen Ryu Jiu JItsu. Its good to see a younger person train in the arts. I train bjj, wrestling and muay thai also thinking about judo.

  • @19thaman79 I'm saying that most of the gracies are judo black belts and the moves were based on Judo

Judo was based around japanese jiujitsu, but they focus almost entirely on throws and perfected them

JJJ has more of a drag down style in their throws and judo took it and perfected the throw aspect

BJJ took it's roots from judo because when Carlos and Helio created it, they said it was based around the judo training they had

  • @mmaninjitsu I would have to be stupid to not agree. Its good to see/hear a young person that knows the history of the art.

  • @19thaman79 Thanks, I subbed, take care

  • @mmaninjitsu Like wise.

  • @19thaman79 :)

  • @znjfl true..i think it depends on da person..

  • @znjfl judo is not taught very well in the u.s although you can find a few judo schools. you also have some very good judo players that can beat some black belts of jiujitsu

  • @znjfl Yup. Anyone who is serious about either BJJ or Judo should really do both.

  • @znjfl woot well said. Helio>pedro sauer>allen hopkins>me(purple belt)

  • oh god another one of these videos this proves nothing !! you can go this site and Judo beats bjj and bjj beats judo all day bjj is no better Judo and judo is no better then bjj

  • this is bullshit. there are newaza tournaments in judo but points are differnt

  • this shows bjj superiority! judo has no ground game! its only good for throws and takedowns

  • go to your local judo dojo, they have a really good groundgame

its called the art of armlocks and chokeholds for a reason

bjj has percentage wise more groundgame and more submissions, but then again barely any takedowns or pins

apart from that bjj comes from judo, so wtf are u talking about

  • @CarlitoJohnson

BJJ and Judo both come from Japanese Jujitsu.

  • Truth

  • BJJ does come from any where, it dont belong in the japanese martial arts.

  • and thats like saying bjj only has ground game!

  • you know nothing. JUDO NEWAZA INVENTED BJJ

goodness i hate people like you.

  • @boxa78 Your Boy Helio had his shoulder broken by a Judo ka

and royce got put to sleep by a judo guy, not to mention Judo was invented by BJJ.

Honestly man,if i kne wher eyou lived id really fuck you up and over.

Have a good fucking new year.

  • Bjj and Judo Complete each other, but Judo is the first and then Bjj is the finishing. That's why you have more winnings on BJJ over Judo.

And after 50 years of Bjj Guys Beating Judo Fighters, You really should talk about the only 2 Judo victory over Bjj?

    Nice try...

Ps.: Better if you kick Boxa78 ass

  • @Samboussr yeah becuase im in mma so come to miami and i will teach you a lesson

  • hehe, what lesson little American BJJ?

The question is, can you actually teach me a lesson? dont fuck with Russian you imbecile!

  • This person is an idiot! "I'm in mma!" that just prooves this person sucks and isn't a true martial artist. I wish I lived close to Miami because I would woop this kids ass using nothing but judo/jujitsu

  • both judo and jujitsu is good, it just depends on how good someone is. black belt doesent immediately say that you are good at it. just means you past the tests.

  • in judo, yes find one bjj black belt that sucks? its the only meritocracy left in the martial arts world.
