u know what would be cool? if they did a toy of deadlock.

almost right about the story. drift was once called eadlock, a decepticon. feared by many. one day he tried to overthrow his commander, turmoil. fail. he is almost killed but escapes to a city of peaceful autobots, where he is initiated into their ranks. then lockdown comes looking, big fight, guy called Wing *drift's friend) dies, and gives drift his sword (the big one).

Found three of them and bought them two were $10.00 Canadian dollars each the 3rd one this drift was about $12.00 i think i am a Sci Fi fan that likes Bionicle Transformers Star Wars Star Trek and Terminator as well as Disney classics movies and 90s Disney CN and Nickelodeon shows i also have one Constructicon (Scrapper found him on the playground in grade 4 with Grimlock who is dead) one Knock-off that uses a droid for assult attack And a knock-off gun for Scrapper

Originally in the comics the kanji on his doors meant to say ドリフト or dorifuto/Drift but here it says 侍 that means "Samurai", his large sword has a series of kanji that says 天下無双 (tenka musō) which means "Peerless under heaven".

i found out that there's another way to sheath the sword at the same place you sheath the other 2 swords that looks more awesome than funny. you don't exactly put the longsword onto the short sword's sheath but "over" it and then fold the window. and you don't need to take out the other swords!

Just picked him up for 10 dollars.Amazing altmode.reminds me of g1 as far as how sturdy it is.Great transformation.The robot mode looks fantastic.Great head sculpt.The swords just top it all of between the look and the storage of the swords.and the posibility is great.I really like how you can pull out the clip on his back to store the sword in robot mode and still be able to pose him.

What I like most about this figure is the storage idea hasbro included with all Drift's weapons. The vehicle form hides the large sword really well. Out of my collection, Drift is probably the best tformer in terms of his alt mode sticking together and having all the wheels roll. Great review!

and the word on the door, if you translate it in chinese, then it means what your friend told you. but it actually have a different meaning in japanese, which is "samurai".

its says for 5 and up, I got bumblebee and prime and thought it was a ridiculous transformation. It was pretty hard the first 2 times, but after that i nailed them both in under 3 minutes lol. I just picked up drift at kohls of all places.

His vehicle mode looks like a cross between a Mitsubishi 3000GT and a Honda S2000, late nineties of course. His robot mode has a kind of G1/G2 flair with the arms and legs and somewhat of an alternity appeal (but with a skill level 3 transformation). Both modes are awesome though. This is going to be one of those highly sought after figures later down the line. Especially with the repainting and slight remolding with a different head for the Blur edition.

For those who are confused about why the Japanese and Chinese share the same words, well not all the words, is that the Japanese's ancestors are all Chinese, and some of the Japanese characters are simplified or even the same as Chinese characters. Since the ancient Chinese government didn't do very well so Japan became stronger than China, if the ancient China was better, Drift would be wielding scimitars but not katanas

It seems every single video or picture review of him has him mistransformed. The hood pieces are supposed to aim straight backwards in robot mode, not folded down. Also, you can flip in the window pieces on his scabbards just to make them look a little more like scabbards and less like doors.

yes, i know that the shoulder pieces should be pointing backwards. i've seen the pics before i did this video. i just feel that it looks better with the shoulder pads down. transformers have a preset transformation but it's up to you to decide what to do with your figure.

i forgot to fold the windows, my bad. realized it after i completed shooting the video and was too lazy to re-shoot.
