@genesis101010 they're doing foot drills. even at the higher levels like NFL, you still need to practice your foot techniques. you need to be able to react to people falling over in front of you and stuff like that. it may look pointless, but these drills help a lot. if you played football you would understand haha

I'm sure you're good enough to be a linebacker at Bama, so why don't you walk on to the team, tell everyone how much they suck, tell one of the most respected position coaches in the NCAA that he's teaching the wrong technique, and then show everybody how they should really do it. From my experience as a linebacker at Fresno State, if you are attacking down hill to "your" right, then you will have your left foot in the front, "striking" with your open hands inside his pads to get more leverage. If going to "your" left, then the right foot is up. Reason why is because the back foot will rip forward after the "strike," and you don't want your body completey open to a 300+ lineman.
