I leaned left when I was politically active; now I don't care. I saw the corporate wizard behind the curtain.
I'm so tired of all this Democrat praise for nothing.
Do you know what they did during the last two years? "HEALTH CARE! THEY REFORMED EVERYTHING." They FORCED me to buy yet another product from a private third party. I'm already going to pay hundreds of dollars for a recent traffic stop during which I realized that my auto insurance expired a few weeks ago. F-k Dems. F-k politics
@roddyjojo You're missing the entire point. It's just more government rape. It's more of the government FORCING me to buy something from a third party (whose only motive is profit) to use a PUBLIC resource, in this case. Then it's totally unsympathetic because I didn't BUY SOMETHING FROM THAT PROFIT-DRIVEN THIRD PARTY.
LEAVE. ME. ALONE.
I don't EVEN WANT health insurance. I'm 33 years old, thin, and the son of a wealthy man. IT ISN'T NEEDED, but something tells me I'M GOING TO GET RAPED NOW.

Now american voters are putting the govt into gridlock, while the concentration of wealth continues above unprecedented levels ... 1% own one third and 10% own 70% of all net worth. Now the GOP smell blood, they promise no compromise, and they're hell-bent on destroying Obama politically.
@waywardtycoon the Republicans will have to compromise on some stuff they aren't politically stupid they know how bad it is politically to appear as a do nothing congress.
@thewalrus45 I’m not so sure. GOP intransigence for 2 yrs has been epic stick-in-the-mud shenanigans, and it’s won them seats. As well their leaders have proclaimed “no compromise” going forward, and a reversing of key legislation like universal health care. Their stated commitment is to defeat Obama at every turn. It’s a heluva way to run gov’t. Really stupid! American voterswill get precisely what they deserve ... disfunctional gov't!
Don't worry this is just a temporary setback. The Democrats need to just step back: refocus, regroup, and recommit to their ideals. Americans are upset right now so their not thinking clearly; by 2012 they will have comeback around as the economy hopefully improves and they see the GOP for what it really is. At the same time, Democrats must do a better job at messaging....and for God's sake finally grow a SPINE!! It won't be easy, but I think this could be a win/win for the Prez and the Dems.
@jake94 we REALLY need to learn how to do Messaging, the Republicans are masters at it, during the Heath Care debate the Dems were going out with a bunch of different messages for why they believe the bill is good, the Republicans pretty much all had one consistent message and they repeated it over and over again and that works well it nearly always does we really need to learn that.
and yeah if the Republicans win narrowly I think we can expect to win back the house in 2012 if Obama does well.
@dragon82a they won't get much done we will likely keep the Senate and Obama can still Veto stuff so pretty much everything done in the next two years will be uncontroversal stuff or minor tweaks, the big battle will be the budget where Republicans will likely try to defund the newly created Consumer finance Protection agency as well as some parts of Heath Care Reform, and I think if we can hit them hard if they try to do that.
