I have a question for the more artistic people. I realize he looks liek a nobody, like a hobo who are nobodys but how does his costume contribute to his invisibility? How does his custome represent that he is like cellophane besides the fact he looks like a hobo?

Well, this song is about him being ignored and not being noticed. So, he tries to get attention by dressing like a clown. He chose a clown because people usually notice the weird make up and the clothes. But it is just an opinion. So, I could be wrong.
