  • stevie at 2:30 . . . . yea!!! thirteen month old babbbbyyyyyehhhh!!! . . . . big ups

  • Man! This is stinky funky. Love it! Thanks for the post.

  • AMAZING VERSION !! of Superstition. Stevie Ray Vaughan was as funky as he was deep in the Blues. R.I.P to a Blues Guitar god. We Miss you SRV !!!

  • Jammin' on the TV :)

  • This video went viral on United Arab Emirates

  • this is really fast compared to other versions by stevie

  • can't get enough of this video, hit replay again

  • Amazing

  • The bassist isnt useless hes nasty..from prince brown mark

  • A Classic now!

  • Stevie and SRV are totally in synch at 4:38-39. Same accent, same note, only Stevie vocalizes and the other Stevie plays it on guitar.

Kudos on Jody Watley's "chump" status.

Even with useless people onstage, this is the hottest version of this song that exists. Period.

  • is she saying my name at the end >: |

  • jodey watley is a chump..)

  • I always thought the bassist was Victor Wooten.

    Sorry for my english.

  • Two legends....

  • Stevie Ray FTW.

  • i think teen mom came on right after this haha

  • Brown Mark (Prince) for sure.

  • the bassist is Brown Mark.

  • Is that Wooten on bass? Nice....

  • @Permage... no man that one is not wooten for sure!!

  • This is from the times when MTV meant MUSIC Television.

  • This was MTV at it's peak. From '86 thru '90 was, to me, when they finally got it. Up till then, they were still learning and tweaking the product. This period is when artist taylored their music to do well on MTV. So many great programs I remember. Headbangers Ball, the interviews, the weekly countdowns with Martha Quinn & Allen Hunter, Nina Blackwood & JJ Jackson (RIP) Now, Wouldn't piss on it if it were on fire. Once "Yo, MTV Raps" took off, so did I.

  • So all Salt 'n Pepa do is shake the rattles? I was expecting some kind of funky blues-hip-hop-crossover. Gotta love the way everyone is grooving out to the music in the vid though. Ah, the good old days.

  • who is that bassist?!

  • haha srv is the only white guy

  • Oh Yea

  • @3:23 Wonder gets crunk off of Stevie Rays stash of premium blow

  • is there anyone here whi got this amazing version in full quality audio? like wav or 320 kbps, that would be awesome

  • Steve wonder and Stevie Ray Vaughn together! AWESOME!!! Would of loved to hear these two together backed by such a a great group in a high quality Studio or live performance. With Jimi Hendrix, BB King, and Eric Clapton. Not asking for much! LoL (< 8)

  • 20 people can't tell good music from their own dingleberries.

  • Jezuz! 4:36 SRV stops it on the One then gets into this pure Funk playing vamp! Dude, Stevie Ray also had the Funk in him! Oh man... too good... I remember that kicking my ass when I first saw it then.

I also love the way Stevie Wonder gets possessed by the groove a little before that!

  • Brown Mark was the bassist for Prince's The Revolution band of the 80's. You can see Mark's Funk groovin' while playing that bass. I can proudly say I met two people on there and I can't believe they were in the presence of SRV. Wow. This floored me then, still does, what a combination! - Gary

  • Performances great, tune awesome, vid production fail! The drummer is where, 'xactly?

  • @rmsydiaha There's no drummer, it's a track, I think.

  • @188metalhead881 Ya, I don't what's worse, having a track when it appears everyone else is playing live, or not even having a drummer in the vid faking it! haha That drums are absent from the picture is just so wrong.

  • Good version!!!

  • WOULD OF EVEN BEEN BETTER IF SANTANA AND ERIC CLAPTON JOINED IN

  • Stevland and Stephen together!! Fantastic!

  • Stevie Ray.....why? Your talent in one finger was more than all these other jokes in this clip combined.

SRV was/is the best guitar player and blues man of all time. Only one who even comes close is Ry Cooder.

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE .. stevie wonder is in this clip. what the fuck are you talking about

  • @danjaja Stevie Ray.....why? Your talent in one finger was more than all these other JOKES in this clip combined.

Spend some time re-reading the above and then engage your brain, extra chromosome boy.

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE , SRV is a HUGE fan of stevie wonder since primary school, so, it's totally understandable. One who loves good music, loves it all. Good Heavy Metal, good thrash metal, good classical music, good rap, good pop, good rock, good blues, good soul, good trance, good techno, good funk, good alternative, good indie, good country, good grunge, whatever man..... what's good, is good. And someone who knows how to appreciate good music, knows how to appreciate it all, believe me :D

  • @KevinZag I love good music but no one in this video comes close to Stevie Ray. Metal of any type, rap, techno, trance, indie, grunge, yada yada yada is no where near the good category, believe me. But, thanks for your reply.

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE ......uh right dude, who's freakin song are they playin???

Unfortunately my man you know not jack about Stevie Wonder......SRV is the man, but isn't even in the same league as Stevie Wonder when it comes to musical influence in America and the world. I love Stevie Ray Vaughn as a musician, guitar player, bluesman...and fellow Texan.........but don't lose sight of reality. If you don't know the history of Stevie Wonder then get a book. You might wanna read before you write.

  • @wathen004 uh right dude, who doesn't give a rat's ass about who's feakin song they are playing?

I know the history and the "jack" of stevie wonder and it sucks. I don't like his music or his sound. That's my opinion and I realize you probably don't like that, and don't take this wrong...but I don't really care. That's the reality of it. From now on, you might wanna think before you write.

    The end.

Got anymore useless information about stevie wonder that you care to share? Hope not.

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE .....blahhahahaaha....you sure are an angry young man I'm surprised you even know who SRV is blues doesn't really seem like your thing son......you would probably be better suited for say... punk....punk.

  • that video is g0:00d

can't get enough from srv and stievie wonder performing together <3

  • Amazing :)

  • i don't know if that bassist knows how lucky he is grooving it up with srv

  • @don2neptune Dude that bassist is Brown Mark from Prince and the Revolution. He is a beast in his own right. Jody Wattley up there also. Funny video though! Cheers!

  • @joeabr aw good deal man he is a badass one groovy cat

  • what a crazy dance!!!!!!

    i'm moving myself now!!

  • IS it Victor Wooten??

  • This is what can come out, when your dealing with music is "sharing is caring" instead of "I'm sueing your ass away, because you've violated my copyright." .

  • Watch Superstition on Semame Street, the kid at 4:10 is EPIC!!!!!!!!

  • Wow!!!!

  • Must.... sleep..... No.. lets listen just one more time...!

  • ahh i thought he was victor wooten haha, tnx guyz, im just a SRV fan here..

  • i think, the bassist is victor wooten..am i right?

  • @ruzzellorenzo No the bass player Is Brown Mark. He is the same bassist from Prince. You can see him in the movie Purple Rain, the only one in the revolution that didnt have a speaking line in the movie. Brown is an incredible bass player and what an honor that must have been to play with The Incredible Mr. Stevie Wonder and The Late Great Mr. Stevie Ray Vaughan.

  • @ruzzellorenzo Ciao, no il bassista è Mark Brown, che ha suonato in molti album di Prince and the Revolution. Molto famoso nel circolo Motown. Ultra funky.

  • SRV was THE white bluesman, and always will be, Clapton can fuck off, SRV is king!!

  • @Cptjackjacky Johnny Winter in his prime is rght there too.

  • @da324- Agreed Johnny Winter was the man! BB King saw it, he loved Johnny's playing.

  • Noice bass fill at 2:58

  • dig that funky bass line

  • this is the funkside of Stevie and is great!!

  • stevie wonder didn't know what black or white looked like for the majority of his life

  • hahahahahah srv is!!!! the blackest mannn in the video

  • How many of you are swayin' your head from side to side? COME ON NOW!

  • What happened to MTV?

  • @MrPetethebluesman MTV died when rap filled and ruined it.

  • Man, why have they commited this awful version of the song.

These two guys are my absolute idols but it sounds like Prince of Bel Air.

  • WOW.... BROWN MARK FROM PRINCE'S "THE REVOLUTION" ON BASS....

  • Who the fuck disliked this? That aint even funny. This song has everything.

  • Damn!!!!! I didn't know this video was here....WOW

  • Stevie who truely is a wonder and probably the best guiarplayer the world has known on the same stage..... no singback, just pure awesome music. Live at its best

  • For 2 Stevies, all thumbs up

  • an 80's super-sensation - awesome!!!

  • this could in no way be more cool and funky!:D

  • The 80s had some boiling music... this was surely one of them ...:-)))

Poor those 17 individuals that lost their hearings... what do they miss now they havent a clue!!!

    My 5 stars from Budapest

  • 2:37-2:40 dancey dancey!

  • it's a proof that real music shouldn't have a color. not trying to say that jazz/blues and their offspring isn't born in the pain of enslaved black men, but.. i just believe that REAL music like this can unite people like nothing else.

  • Did anyone notice that Stevie Wonder's playing a New England Digital Synclavier which, at that time, cost upwards of $ 100,000.00 or more ? Nice !

  • wow what an awesome version of this song!!

imagine what would have happened if there was a chance to put jimi and srv together in a concert!

  • FUNKED UP MY WHOLE MORNING!!! THANKS FOR POSTING!!!

  • Woulda paid good money to see this show. I really miss SRV.

  • buddy or albert king said srv was the blackest man theyve ever seen

  • @stephenc90 BB said something of the sorts. he said Stevie was like being black twice.

  • @stephenc90 i think stevie said it...lol get it?

  • @stephenc90 I think Stevie Wonder said it, lol...get it?

  • @KrisWinkler i would appreciate if people would thumb up your comment instead of mine. very hilarious =)))))))))))))))))))))))) yea stevie saw srv .. indeeeed... good one =))

  • @stephenc90 Stevie wonder said the same thing.

  • @stephenc90 SRV isn't black he isn't white. He transcends race.

  • @cfredrics no, he's white, he tries to be black, but fails.

  • @MrThedalaillamaknows

SRV didn't try to be anybody but SRV, and what you are saying is racist.

  • @cfredrics so Michael Jackson did, hahahah

  • @stephenc90 to be fair they probably hadn't met Bill Clinton yet. lol.

  • @stephenc90 well, in the eyes of Stevie Wonder, he was black as every other person xD

  • @stephenc90 I heard Stevie Wonder said it too

  • @stephenc90 so did stevie wonder

  • Two ICONS come together to enjoy listeners....OMG I miss the late 60's to the early 80's.

  • hahaha stevie sticks out like a sore thumb in dat crowd hahaha only white guy... RIP SRV

  • @RAIDERFLORES stevie ray was black. on the inside. just listen to his voice xD

  • @heyhowami Well I'm glad complexion has nothing to do with one's musical abilities. And it's a good thing too because I'm fairly certain Stevie was actually a pinkie reddish color on the inside and who knows what a pinkie reddish person would sound like.

  • @Makonu2 you get what i was saying. haha but either way you've mastered it pal.

  • victor wooten on the bass, amazing guys here.

  • Top 3 funkiest things to ever happen on the planet right here!

  • no offense to stevie ray vaughan. he's a great musician in his own right, but he gets blown out of the water by stevie in terms of singing talent and sound.

  • @timlamiam u r quite wrong

  • SRV's voice is amazing.

  • where are the horns??? :(

    i miss that too....

    good version... i love SRV

  • who are the 16 assholes who disliked this work of art!?

  • This is a great version, but I miss the horns.

  • If you don't move to this song, then you're dead my friend !!!

  • Fucking 16 people that see upside down and choose the wrong HAND!!

  • cLASSICAL MAN!! CLASSICAL!!!

  • 16 people are supersticious..

  • @odingr how do you manage to misspell a word thats in the title?

  • @akopianarsen The word superstition is on the title.. and how do you manage to be such a jerk to comment on such a minor thing instead of just hear srv play ?

  • @odingr actually its not on the title...its in the title. Im not being a jerk - i am simply surprised at the stupidity.

  • @akopianarsen i dont even care about what u say.. the only stupid here is you!

  • @odingr i think you missed a word there...

  • LoL Great band!

  • only one that wouldve made this groovier is bernard purdie. but then id probably die if i saw that. damn this is a GREAT video. MTV blows

  • Who is the bassist? Victor wooten???

  • @luiscorinthians75 That's Brown Mark. He was in Prince's band, The Revolution, in the 80s.

  • the last good song of the 80s

  • Hey, look at the other guitarist, the one who performed "Computer Blue" with Prince in Purple Rain movie!!!

  • Time travel come!!!!!!!!!! take me back to the 1980's!!!

  • good old MTV :(

  • SRV: Gotta love that "Pimp Look."

  • this video is pure fucking gold! if there was a "this video is so epic it will melt your face off from pure awesomeness" button i'll press it now.

  • it wouldn't surprise me if somebody take this version and put it in a new post-punk album...SUBLIMINAL!!!

  • Two great musicians, great combo!

  • Wow you got the great Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Legendary Stevie Wonder, and Princes old bassist Brown Mark together , u know this is a kick ass remake of the original

  • @youreallgeek oh, so now you sayin' all brothers look the same?!?!?! Jeez!!!

Just messin' with ya my friend. Fun video tho ain't it?

  • @youreallgeek um....sure about that?

  • Jammin´ on MTV!!! :D

  • God I love this video. Wish it was available on iTunes. Jodi Watley, SRV, Stevie Wonder, holy shit it's awesome!!!!!

  • What does it take to steal the thunder of SRV

My guess is a s@#$@# oad of singing talent way to go SW

  • they don't make music like this anymore, this song kicks ass!

  • I still fail to understand how the universe didn't explode in a ball of awesome by the mere fact that these two guys once shared a stage.

  • @gueibor I know right?

  • @gueibor probably because you're including Stevie Ray Vaughn in "these two guys"

  • @gueibor I agree! 300,000 of the view are mine! this is by far the funkiest groove ever! By the end of the song they practically levitate!

  • @gueibor Because the world was meant to handle this awesomeness and this awesomeness alone!!!

  • @gueibor Leon Russell and Elton John?

  • @gueibor dude, do you even know who that bassist is????!!?!

  • @gueibor dude, do you even know who that bassist is????!!?! Victor Wooten. Educate yourself.

  • @artmartie the bass player in this clip is Brown mark from Prince's band The Revolution sorry to dissapoint

  • @kscotto8 HAHAHA, disregard that, I suck cocks.

dammit, you're right. Brown Mark, not Victor Wooten. That would've put it over the edge. Good catch...

  • HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • steve ray forever

  • I'd enjoy it more if they would gave SRV more screen time.

  • Brownmark killing the bass

  • GRANDE VAUGHAN !!! GRANDE STEVIE ESTUVO CON TODOS...

  • I saw on MTV one time when Stevie Wonder and Stevie Ray Vaughn played Superstition with two young black rap stars who happened to be on the show. I remember that these two kids were so hardcore, until they saw Stevie, and then they turned into giggling kids - the guy too. Then they all played Superstition. Vaughn only played rhythm, until Wonder called out to him, "Take it Stevie!" and Vaughn just took off and ripped and played all over the guitar. I wish I could find that clip. So awesome.

  • @bigdatut

Damn. Now I want to find that clip.

  • @bigdatut if you ever find this clip, could you please link me to it? i'd be ever so glad. you got me hungry! :D

  • @sinprelic Absolutely.

  • Stevie has such a powerful voice. It floors me every time.

  • I get that we are all entitled to our tastes, but how can 15 people honestly watch this and not like it?

  • Im not a great fan of so and so with friends but SRV and Stevie was somehow a good pairing. Both fabulous in their fiends in what this song always really was-the blues!

  • Super , thanks

  • who in their right minds would 'dislike' this video? Stevie Wonder and SRV FTW! there's even double bass action!

  • stevie x 2....double trouble

  • @srv00001 I was about to say that... !! :)

  • MTV is fu..k up.

  • Gives me a smile wider than the Mersey. AWESOME. The joy on Stevie Wonder's face makes life worth living!

  • i wish salt n pepa would go away haha the only video of the two stevies together

  • Great show... had a copy of it on disc but lost it. Hopefully some channel will remake it or a collector will make it available online.

  • The Stevies are awesome
