I wish the game was playable as this trailer! XD I hope Dragon Quest 10 is like this idea on the Wii or Wii-U. I'd buy the Wii and this game AND The strategy guide just for that game.

The way the trailer was made... it's as if it was how I always visioned it throughout my times playing their series. Dragon Quest 8 was only a taste of the view, but this, my friends, would be the best and most original game ever to exist if they design the new ones like this.Blow their own FF games out the water

I spent like 2 months straight playing DQ 8 Curse of the King on the PS2, until I got so sick of the frequent random battles. I have high hopes for this one though. I will have to buy my own DS so i wont be stealing my son's all the time lol.

Of all the Dragon Quest games I've played, this one is the best. This game was the main reason why I bought a DS. The one thing I really liked about this game was the fact that you could customize the characters in your party. Hopefully Dragon Quest 10 will let you customize your characters as well.

@VayuPurana Duh! It's got 2 be one of the people in your party, or else it doesn't work! And you have to at leat get to Altradeys Abby so you can be a Martial Artist. But even then, I don't think that you can truly look like him. It's as if they don't have muscles on the game, even mine (Shard, level 53) doesn't (apparently) have any. And she's omnivocal of swords and shields.

I prefer DQ over FF since DQ games are much more emotionally involving story-wise, and since DQ manages to expand the basic gameplay with every new installment while staying true to the series' roots. And, unlike Nomura, Toriyama can make good character designs.

Don't get me wrong, I like FF too (at least I, IV, V, VI, VII, IX and X) but it will never be as good as DQ - especially not with the direction it's currently going in.

I have a couple questions bout the game

1. Do the enemies respawn?

2.Do the enemies scale up to your level or are they at a set level?

3. Can you keep playing after you beat the game?

@Crushenator1 1. Yes the enemies plop or appear on the field at random intervals and can sometimes aggro to trigger a battle.

2. No the enemies stay at a set level. Venturing into newer areas provides harder enemies.

3. Yes the game has ridiculous amounts of Post-Game content.

@Rafahil it doesnt, i dont know if you knew this but akira toriyama made an anime called dragon quest back in 1989, based on the videogame, so every game that came before was designed by akira toriyama style cause of that, you should check that anime, it doesnt have an ending though, but its pretty cool, soo if akira toriyama stops making the designs for dragon quest, it wouldnt be dragon quest anymore...

@3q89396 You forget that localization process takes precious time. No one wants to read literal translations in a PUN packed game such as this. It'd be like taking the sweet out of sugar. They took time putting in the right things to make the puns more funny as well as character jokes. Personally I'm just glad that we have it now. :D
