  • Well there is many things it could be.

1 plug in a headphone to see if that works. (if it doesn't work you would need to uninstall the driver and reinstall it.)

    2. If it dose work then you need to check your settings and see if it is Go to Control Panel

  • then to Sounds and Audio Devices

  • Don't worry pal, its just not the laptops that freeze and have these problems. I recently purchased a Studio XPS desktop and am having exactly the same problems you are and more - I will post a video shortly - good luck!

  • I have given up on PC's I am 53 years old, I have just purchased a MAC, trust me they are "fantastic"

30 seconds to start up, no virus, smooth, no noise.

The above video is why I switched "once you go Mac, you never go back"

    Do not buy PC's!

  • i have this laptop now sitting on my lap right now lol does anybody no how much they are worth i got mine for free

  • my compter ( Dell Latitude Cpx ) comes a blue screen error. Technical information:

    Beginning dump of physical memory

Dumping physical memory to disk: 1

  • your laptop had a bios lock up, you need a bios update

  • WAOH THANS MAN!! This has hapened to me plenty of times. but for some reason, when i start the computer up in the morning, all the letters are out of place and the screen is corropted. Oh and the cd drive makes a sratching noise too. i have to restart it to gte rid of the screen corruption. do you know anything about that?

  • @needforspeedguy sounds like your graphics card is dieing

have u tiped anything on ur pc / laptop recentley?

i tipped a drick on my laptop and it went htough the keyboard and out of the vents on the bottom

the drink was boiling when it came out

the laptop wouldn't start for a while, and when it did the screen split in 2 (graphics not snaped monitor ) once the laptop was dry completley it was fine, all it left me with is a fucked up mouse

hope u get ur pc workin soon

  • oh my god, i had the same laptop till 2008 where i got a gateway m-6841 with 3gb of ram, 250 gig hard drive, interl core 2 duo processor T5550 and what a big difference. Hey that's the slim version of the dell latitude right? I got one for my brother since he's not the techy and doesn't like spending money =(

  • i have the same problem on my computer

  • Video not good enough quality to make out what messages say. I have to say it... another boring video from AuntBee. I am not surprised that comments have been disabled on your other videos. I don't say this out of malice. I'm saying what I truly feel.

  • yah I agree with you: I think this video is boring also. I don't know about "ANOTHER boring video" though... I think I have a few good ones :)

But look at it this way: you are not my target audience. My target audience for this video are people who are experiencing computer problems. So far, I am pleased with the response to this video.

  • Yes, but even for your target audience, if they can't tell what's on the screen, what good is it?

  • My main goal for this video was to reach a certain audience, and I feel I have done that. If they like it or not, that is just an after thought... I hope they like it, but I don't mind too much.

This video was really an experiment. It has given me some ideas for YouTube projects which might manifest in the future.

If nothing else, the comments on this video will help me fix my laptop :)

    Good talk'n with you jstrahan2

    ttyl

  • About the comments on the other videos: the reason I have disabled them is because I got tired of moderating the comments; if you actually look through the past comments, you would notice I generally do not remove negative ones unless they use inappropriate language.

  • And finally, about the quality: this video did not turn out with the quality I hoped for, even though it was HD.

  • you should get a new laptop...

  • Sounds like a dying HITACHI hard drive, right? DELL PC's and laptops were equipped with IBM hard drives during a long time. They didn't stop dying en masse like mayflies!

Best thing to do: Get a SAMSUNG hard drive!

  • Well, if you've reinstalled windows over the old one it probably already formats the drive. Its pretty clear that you have a hardware problem, and I agree its probably your RAM. Your laptop probably has two RAM modules, which you can remove by unscrewing the cover on the bottom. Take one out first and see if you keep having these problems, if you do then put it back and take out the other. Good luck!

  • Wow, that is very helpful! Thank you, I will try that out.

  • This is Haik btw. I'm still subscribed to you, I think this is probably a new account though. Hope everything is going well for you.

  • Oh Haik! Good to hear from you!

I'll send you an email to your gmail account.

  • Sorry to see your having PC problems, but it's good to see your back! :)

  • Thank you. Long time, no talk. I've still been watching and enjoying all your videos :)

I am excited to be back. Although, I will NOT be posting any "news" videos. And I'm not sure if I'm going to post any additional videos...

YouTube has changed a lot since I last posted a (public) video: HD features, subtitles, annotations, advertisements, etc. It's pretty cool and exciting!

Have you considered applying to becoming a YouTube Partner? I think you would probably qualify.

    ttyl

    -Travis

  • I have considered the partner thing. I will be sending you a message. Wish I could help you on the PC problem. When my HP died I gave up on windows and bought a Mac.

  • Maybe you don't want to post the news videos (Leave that to KIRO!) and instead, post some Metro or Sound Transit bus rides! I used to do those in the Seattle area, but I may start doing it with the Orlando Lynx buses soon!

  • i would say its how dell manafactured the laptop made it shitty lol if u get a new one dont get a dell xD

  • I say wipe the hard drive.

  • I'm not very computer literate... Does that mean to format it? And besides taking a powerful magnet to it, how do I do that? lol

    Thanks for the comment.

  • yeah, dont do magnets, unless you never want to even USE the hard drive/other internal components again :P

  • Yea it is the same as formatting hard drive.

  • Hey man sorry your laptop is so messed up. Im not sure what is wrong. I always heard good reviews about dells, that sucks your is messed up. Hope you can get it fixed. Take care.

  • It's good to hear from you. Thanx for the comment.

I'm thinking about getting a new laptop some time, and getting rid of this one. ttyl

  • Hey Travis! I did not knew you where uploading again. But if you want to replace the laptop, you may consider a netbook, which are nice and less expensives. But does not have the CD or DVD drive installed. It cost less than $300 dollars. Please, upload more videos, cause I miss old Bellvue WA and I moved to Florida last year! :)

  • Hey, thanx for your support! I'm not sure if I'm going to upload any more videos. I have a few YouTube projects in mind for this summer, but they don't involve the news.

    Thanx again for watching.

PS: Florida sounds nice right now with all the cold weather Bellevue has had this year; I hope you're enjoying it :)

  • dude, it's a dell, LOL

both dell desktops i have are crap, dimension 2350 can hardly run XP when it is designed to, with 512mb ram, and cannot multitask whatsoever

  • Thanx for the info. So is this a mechanical problem or software problem? Or both?

  • what am i a computer geek or something?! jk,

i would say reinstalling XP... hopefully you don't have anything important on the hard drive?

but that would be my first resort, is reinstalling xp

  • ahh, wait, now after reviewing the 'what has NOT helped:' list in vid details, and the BSOD message on that link you gave, it looks like you have some bad RAM... have you recently upgraded the memory? if not try taking out one of the sticks (assuming it has 2 inside it)

  • NHComputerGeek, it sounds like you know what you're talking about.

    I haven't upgraded any memory...

So just removing or replacing the RAM might fix it? I'll try to get around to doing that.

    Thanks again!

  • whoa, sorry i forgot about you AuntBee09! Did you get that laptop working yet??

  • I actually did! I'm considering posting another video on how I did it.... I took the advise of one of the users that commented on this video and removed one of the RAM cards and it works fine now! (I talked to that user, and he prefers to stay out of the spotlight)

    Thanks for the follow up.

  • oh hey, no problem, glad to hear a dell actually got fixed XD

    Best of luck!
