Wouldn't it be better for Billy and families to visit Billy at a sanctuary than a zoo- not only does it show kids how elephants are supposed to live, it gives parents a chance at responsible parenting by revealing the truth about zoos- not all zoos are good and elephants don't live in zoos, they die in them. A zoo is a place where animals are trapped in an artificial environment/cage where people stare at them all day, every day for their entire lives. Animals would not be put on display for human entertainment if people would stop paying money to see these once-free creatures outside of their natural environment.

This includes all endangered species. Jack Hanna's animals that he uses on TV are supplied by animal dealers most of the time and he doesn't know a thing about them. Slash means well, but doesn't know what he is talking about. It's all about having new babies to draw in crowds to make money.

The zoos that still have enclosures with hard surfaces are changing them within the next two years, and that's what the LA Zoo is doing.
