  • I hope we get to see a comparison to the new 24-70 2.8L II from Canon.. Just for poops and giggles. The grand finale being Kai dropping both to test the durability. :P

  • quiero una Nikon!!!!!!

  • Pause at 3:37 for Kai's awesome, "True Story" face.

  • @CameraFreak1990 It's the "not bad" face if I'm correct xD

  • @CameraFreak1990 It looks more like a "not bad" face

  • You need to start testing these pieces of equipment in realistic photography situations. Not pointless street snaps.

  • @iJarrp street photography is a realistic photography situation

  • is it me or does Kai have the best job ever!!!

  • I watch these videos so much i'm starting to become familiar with Hong Kong...

  • OH god.

  • I have this lens and I love it. I always use the 24mm for landscape which is the sharpest focal of this lens.

  • What where they protesting, it will drive me mad... (Crazy not angry)

  • dont press 5 , 5, 5, 5

  • What is wrong with your nose dude ?

  • baban paramı basıyo olm senin

  • You almost ruined the lens for me!

  • Stick your thumb in your bum

  • Oh! The skin on your nose is discusting. Scrub. You filthy chinaman.

  • Please test out the Nikon 85mm f/1.4G Review BY ITSELF! :D, it's one of those magical gold-ring primes you haven't test/reviewed yet!!! =)

  • Please learn to hold a DSLR properly little kid 3:12

  • Anyone knows the song in the background please.

  • I am not that interested in photography, but I come here for the entertainment.

  • would it work on a nikon d5100? :D

  • @DeSmurfen125 Manual focus only. Otherwise, yes.

  • @RufusTheRuthless so if I want it to autofocus it won't work?! s;

  • @DeSmurfen125 Yup. You need to get a D7000 or D90 upwards for the non-hypersonic lenses to autofocus.

  • @RufusTheRuthless aah shit, maybe I should have bought the D90 ): still I feel happy with my Nikon D5100 ;D oh but would it work on a D70? :D that's the camera of my dad XD

  • @DeSmurfen125 Look mate I set you wrong it WILL WORK with your D5100 - I checked the website on Nikon and the lens is an AF S. So you're good to go. Incidentally the 5100 has a better sensor than the D90. So bonus for you.

  • @RufusTheRuthless Thaaanks! :D woohooo! XD and I'm a girl btw. :P thank you sooooo muuch! :P

  • Name of the song in the background pleeeeease Kai.

  • pls test 17-55 nikkor f2.8 on d7000

  • @shahrulita I've rented that lens for my D7000. Works well.

  • @shahrulita i own the lens, its amazing

  • What's the song playing at 0:56?

  • Asian Beatle! Kai Lennon/ Kai Starr/ Kai McCartney/ Kai Harrison XD

  • No construction site? What kind of Digital Rev video is this?!!!

  • @mcnamaranicholas I'm not seeing it....

  • @MrLouisBrooks listen :D

  • @mcnamaranicholas I'm fairly sure that's the traffic lights

  • Is it the editing or the lens has a good amount of vignetting in 4:45 :/

  • why are these lenses so effin expensive? :(

  • I will get this once I get an FX body! : 3

  • Should i get this lens or the nikon 14-24mm f2.8?

  • @MeineKleineWaffe both are irresistible lenses. owning this will mean owning 2/3 of the nikon holy trinity. throw in the 70-200 2.8 then you're all good ;)

  • @MeineKleineWaffe It all depends on your preference. If you want a wider focal range that i'd go for the 14-24. But in my opinion i'd get the 24-70mm due to the 46mm focal difference. I'm looking in to buying the 24-70mm.

  • do you recommend me getting this for my D5100 just for daily use? and can it have a fisheye lens put onto it? please reply!

  • this guy's reviews are awesome.. i wish i had a job like this

  • smugness factor? yeaaaah :p

  • Please get a strap already!!! Nice video!

  • This gezzer is tops.

  • I LOVE HIS NARRRATION! FUNNY!

  • get a strap

  • why you never use lens hood?

  • @1550592535 so viewers of this video can actually see the lens glass in action? Please think about it.

  • please put the strap on!

  • @AbdoHad90 thats what she said

  • @AbdoHad90 And the lens hood :(

  • could you possibly put this on a d7000?

  • @51blue1 Yes, but that would increase the focal length to 36-105.. :)

  • @51blue1 yes

  • @51blue1 yes way not ??

  • @51blue1 itll fit on any nikon dslr

  • Please destroy a LEICA APO-TELYT-R 1:5.6/1600mm lens. Thumbs up if you want to see it!!!

  • @EpicMustacheMan dude, why do say that? i hope you realize some nikon lends can fit canon cameras. i just wanted to know if this one can do the same.

  • @EveryChris no... no you can't... theyre completely different mounts... you can buy an adapter, though, to fit your nikon lenses to canon bodies

  • i love your videos

  • They were protesting against loss from collapse of securitized US mortgages which were repackaged as interest yielding bonds or accumulators to uninformed consumers. When Lehman collapsed, their contracts collapsed and lost values. This was a shock to them because retail banks advertised them as bonds which actually were securities derivatives with greater risk (but not much better yield)

  • 7:35 Alamby??

  • It would be the perfect way to top off the video...if I actually understood what they were protesting about..........

  • I would do dirty things for this lens.

  • You know what also helps with flair besides the nanocoat.

    The lens hood you forgot.

  • @Jpbyob02 i was thinking the same exact thing haha

  • can that fit a canon 550D?

  • @EveryChris seriously? Its a NIKON lens...

  • i have this lens... damn beast of a lens.

  • Well, i want to use the lense 24-70mm f/2.8 in D300. Does it support ? and is it the best lense for model photo shoot ? if not which lense is the perfect for model photo shoot ? pls suggest me thanks.

  • Dear, why you not using the lense hood??

  • What was that look at 3:37. I guess he doesn't like to be touched by sexy people.

  • Wonderful lens! But in Sweden where i come from, cost about 1,500 euro to buy this lens...!!!

  • @nwarken congrats mate! mine will be arriving soon as well.

  • i just got this lens. sooo pleased! it has treated me well these past few days, with many many more to come :)

  • @nwarken how much?

  • @tcuk new lens. so full retail price of course :) it was slightly on sale i believe. and it ran me about $1800CND

  • I know it's weather proof and all, but idk, I'd just be too scared to get it wet. Haha.

  • what camera did kai use in this??

  • @MapleKaomiii i think it's the Full Frame Nikon D700.

  • so that camera and lens are both weather proof?.. wow.. very expensive camera .

  • love your reviews, subscribed))

  • i wish that every Cantonese person knows how to speak as fluently as you.

  • well of course it matters when it is sharper than the canon!

  • excellent video, getting this lens when the d800 lens is released later this year :)

  • i notice a rather strange noise when manually turning the focus ring on my 24-70mm. it sounds like you would operate the motor of the lense manually. i called the store and they said the have the same thing on the other models they have in stock. anybody here has noticed the same thing???

  • da best subscription I've made in a long time; great points on this review :D

    more Lok C!

  • you seriously need a haircut.

  • i just saw Chinese with white hair...

  • that photo of lok that kai took was really good

  • this is like top gear for cameras n lenses! I love this guy!

  • Is it wrong if this gave me a boner ?

  • @PurpleChowMein I think 24-85 f/2.8-4 is alright, slight distortion at 24mm f2.8 ,, but if I were you, I would save some money for 24-70 and use it for a long time. Like for one of my lens, my parents have it for 25+ year and i still use it sometimes to get the old film photography style

  • Being on a tight budget, I am considering the sigma 24-70mm F2.8 IF EX DG HSM and I was wondering what your feedback on this lens was. thanks!

  • @PurpleChowMein dont buy that lens.... i have it,, its fast but not useful.. extremely yellow.

  • @alan2102006 what about the nikon 18-70mm 3.5-4.5? i know its not as great as the 24-70, but have you used it before??? thanks!!

  • @PurpleChowMein

Consider the Tamron 17-50 2.8, if you are shooting DX. It's probably the best value for a none pro lens.

  • @taruzzz Agree with this, if one has no intention of going full frame, then the 17-50 f 2.8 Di II lens is a great value, much moreso than Nikon's way overpriced 17-55 f2.8 DX

  • @edkwon Yep, I have the Nikon 17-55 but I got it used for less than half the original price.

  • @edkwon Still, I don't understand how the 17-55 f2.8 is so expensive. Here where I live, you 24-70 2.8 is just 100€ more expensive....I wonder which one would I take..... Full frame lens vs crop frame lens...hmmm...tough decision :DDD

  • @FinlandApollo Where I live in the US, its the same situation, the 24-70 f2.8 costs about $150-200 USD more than the 17-55, I think prices for Nikon lenses remain consistent across the world regardless of currency exchange

  • @edkwon Yeah, but sometimes I think, why is it so freaking expensive (17-55). In my opinion, I think that lens doesn't sell well. But, its bit wider than 24-70mm but is it worth of paying so high price?

  • @edkwon It still staggers me how ridiculously expensive and heavy the DX 17-55 f2.8 lens is..

  • great review! but you failed to mention its an fx lens... how is it in a dx body?

can you also do a review on the nikkor 17-55 f2.8 dx? thanks! more power to digital rev!

  • Nice Review ! Too bad i can't afford the lens .

  • Why don't you have the hood fitted? You really should you know.

  • Some people are saying the lens has a light leak I saw a test that confirmed this. Mostly happens on full frame body's. Nikon recommends to put some tape arround it. Is it a leak or just natural noise idk. To watch the test just search Nikon 24-70mm on youtube(I'm not allowed to paste a link in this reaction).

  • @elvispavarotti it seems to be that when the lens gets from warm to cold temperatures too fast, the glue comes off and this causes the light leak with some people. So how weather sealed is this lens?

  • I wonder how it compares with the current Canon 24-70. (one of the best ever lenses)

  • How will it compare with the new 24-70 image stabilized from Canon coming out in 2011. Should be interesting. Good lens.

  • @digitalrevcom do you color correct these photos?

  • Do you color correct these photos?

  • my favorite line is. "its about as mystical, as a unicorn"

  • Damn, them some vicious ass sideburns!!!!

  • I found that if you speaking English in HongKong , people just ignoring you even you aren't look like a foreigner.

  • *HONKKKK* yeah...quiet hahahaha

  • Can you do a review 'bout the 17-55mm 2.8?

  • damnit...i miss HK...and i want that lens.

  • Must.... find..... more.... money. @_@

  • found it for second hand costing 700pounds. very very tempted

  • This lens looks stupid... It's so long and goofy looking, looks easy to accidentally hit something with it.

It should be a bit shorter and less silly looking

  • Bought this lens 3 days ago... The price a bit steep, but its all worth it. Sharpness, speed, focusing accuracy, color.

    I'm a happy man... :)

  • 3 hysterical elements??

  • oh noo, its going :p

  • That was cool! Felt like I visited Hong Kong :)

  • Didn't this lens come out about 2 years ago at the same time as the D3. I'm only saying because I have one

  • Can u please do a review on nikon 17-55mm f2.8....theres no good review for that lens yet....thank you

  • Can you do a review of Lumix and Pentax Cameras?? I don't know anything about that brand.. You seemed to be good at reviewing Canon and Nikon Cameras. I want to hear new brands from you. :)

  • kai, why dont you ever use a lense hood?!

    explain! :D

  • Really i like both of them: Canon and Nikon.

But when it comes to a battle and 1st place.

The Canon L seems for me a bit sharper, even in use with the 5DII.

I got bot and shoot with both!

@Kai: I know you are Pro Nikon, but this battle must be serious!

Even if its not possible to battle due the difference on the bodies!

Maybe when an 18MP D800 is out, this will be an nice test again, but 5DII will also come in time...and than its time for next round!

    cheers D. / Berlin Westside!!!
