You probably should have emphasised the exclusion of grains, particularly "wheat" which in its modern cultivated varieties is the Frakenstein of all grains. No primates (and no large mammals except possibly gazelles occasionally) eat wheat in the wild. So Paleo excludes pasta and bread, for example. Also peanuts, which are not a true nut.

@hoboman1000 i thinks low carbs is more of a short term diet. once your lean enough start adding complex carbs.
