once again to all those kids the max speed on the lirr system is 80 MPH

80 for diesels in 3rd rail territory 65 for diesels in non 3rd rail territory.

that late it was probably port jeff. but it may have also been a deadhead from montauk. it's unlikely there would be a through montauk-jamaica train that late in the day.
