  • Do you know if it was coming from Montauk or Port Jefferson? I forget if Port Jeff runs electric and diesel or just diesel.

  • that late it was probably port jeff. but it may have also been a deadhead from montauk. it's unlikely there would be a through montauk-jamaica train that late in the day.

  • I used to ride it out of Stony Brook. Sometimes, speed limits don't seem to apply to them!
