  • LOL germans will be gay! :D

  • a clear kick to the shin.

  • if he was still playing barca would have signed him...

  • Straight red for Klinsmann here.

Also, one of the easiest ways to tell a dive is if a player rolls around like that. When you are really hurt you do the opposite. You try to remain completely still as rolling around hurts more.

  • Hey guys.... That's our national coach right there.

  • There doesn't need to be a touch in order for it to be a foul.

  • Germany ruined football in this final forever. The world saw diving rewarded the player.

  • Single handedly ruined football, well done Klinsmann, 50% of footballers now follow you're cheating ways

  • @BigFuckinBen your*

  • Definite yellow if not straight red nowadays. Quite a good call back then when officials were often left out to dry. Easy call when seen on slo-motion.

  • @calodo2002 in slo-mo you see there is no contact, at the very omst a grazing of the sock. this is not a red. yellow maybe. ruined the final.

  • Foul plus dive. Yeah he was fouled but he's acting like someone shot him

  • @fookfocketyfookfook He was never TOUCHED. Reckless challenge, sure; but no contact, no foul.

  • @Matthewboca We wasn't touched because he jumped! If he didn't jump he would have been minced. Just look at the right foot, there's intent there and I would consider that dangerous play. Worthy of a red.

  • @Matthewboca its like throwing a punch and dodging it....is it not a foul because he dodged the punch? absolutely not. the reaction is a bit much but foul 100% red card? thats debatable

  • @Matthewboca what you just said contradicts the laws of the game, which state that any tackle that endangers the safetyof an opponent is a red card, regardless of whether or not the player is quick enough to dodge it

  • Funny that it's still a straight red for violent intent even though Klinsmann was skillful enough to dodge the contact.

  • Gayest referee I've ever fuckin seen

  • What surprises me (or rather doesent) is this seems premeditated, Beckenbauer jumping of the bench and the phisios pretending to give him treatment. This was also done to Gazza in the same competition getting him a yellow that was also not justified, this time the whole German Bench jumped up screaming. Thirdly, they were also awarded a penalty for another dive which was the only goal of the match.

  • it was a dirty ass foul. s

  • it was a foul, look a video with attention

  • that wasnt a dive

  • If Klinsmann wouldn`t have "dived" the guy would have broken his leg - Red card was absolutley deserved!

  • @SuperJuliusC It's this ridiculous playacting that annoys people.

  • Comment removed

  • @charlie65178 That`s exactly the same thing people said about your mother when went insane after she saw your ugly inbred face after she had given birth to you and eight efts...

  • It WAS a foul but Klinsmann did a classic double somersault with pike :)

  • The match was completely dominated by Germany. Argentina only had 2 shots in the entire match. It would be criminal if Germany didn't win. Oh and...4-0. MAD?

  • even though it didn't hit klinsman, that was a deliberate dirty play to try to take him down. it's a legit red card.

  • that was a legit red card, the argintine player cleary went for clinsmen's legs to take him out!!!

  • The Nazis have some of the best divers. I guess they tell them to get straight into soccer instead of swimming. Voeller's dive was pathetic also.

  • Agreed, the acting after avoiding the challenge is not neccessary - BUT this tackle deserved a red card anyway so I'm not really comfortable with calling it a dive.

I mean you can't expect him to let himself get butchered by this attack with clearly bad intentions!

  • Let`s just say we gave argentina a dose of their own medicine.the price for the hand of god was this final.sweet...

  • @RPHAMEBERLIN we? they're german.. they gave England a humliation at S.Africa

  • Klinsman flopping around on the ground IS pretty funny but the guy DID try to spike him with his cleets. So i don't have a problem with the card.

  • Germans are gay......

  • @killcams4u so how does it feels then, to get beaten up by those 'gays' in every important game every 2 years (at the wc or the ec) again? - wait a sec. ... not every 2 years ... in 2008 you weren't even qualified - Pussy!

  • I think the defender tapped (tapped) the trailing leg but the studs were up and by any stretch that's a classic red.

  • Klinsman was BARELEY tapped and acted like a bitch

  • @SFV818Si Klinsman is just a good salesman.

  • where was the dive? you guys know that have to play the ball not the other ones leg?

  • Obvious red card. Why is everyone mad?

  • Thiis is a crystal clear red card - stretched out leg into the man. No matter how Klinsmann fell or acted afterwards. Any other claim is just stupid.

  • Except that this was no dive (but the succesful attempt to avoid a broken leg)

  • Klinsman is a fudge packer...

  • he got a red card because of his shorts

  • @Palomablanca1978 wrong, he got it for the mullet

  • klinsmann was overreacting, but the tackle was late too, did not deserve a red card.

  • thats USA's new head coach!!

  • It's obvious that Klinsmann's overracting. There's a foul which deserves a yellow card but no more.Klinsmann jumped over like Michael Jordan to mislead the referee.1 minute after,he came back on the pitch with no injuries at all. This match was fixed,no penalty at all and a second redcard for nothing.Argentina paid off their victory over the Italians hosts. They knocked out Brazil and Italy and FIFA didn't like it.Furthermore,Germany never won against Brazil or Italy, they got 3 WC cuz they're lucky

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 He got cleated ( Serious Foul Play) running at full speed and landed very awkwardly. The other Red was spot on too. He hit him in the face and pulled him down - Violent conduct! The funny thing he was trying to get the ball that his own teammate kicked after being whistled offside!

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 Ever thought about Brazil and Italy winning against us because THEY were lucky? Football´s always a mixture of skills and luck. Ok, Brazil was clearly better in 2002. No doubt. Italy hasn´t been better in one single match they won against Germany in a World Cup. And surely we have been to 7 (read carefully.....SEVEN) World Cup finals just because we´re lucky. Plus 6 Euro Cup finals....! Just stop bitching around and go on practicing water ballet.

  • @machierl Lol ''Italy hasn't been better in one single match they won against Germany''.I burst out laughing man.In 1982 they raped you 3-1,you didn't have any chance to reduce the score. In 2006,2-0 they touched the post 2 times, and most of the opportunities were italians.I reperat; Germany wouldn't have been crowned 3 times if they had played several times against Brazil. And more than 3 times against Italy.Go licking the FIFA's pussy to have played only 1 time Brazil in 80 years of Worldcup

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 Just licked it. Now there are still 3 World Cups and 3 Euro Cups........No matter where you´re from, you definitely got no idea about football, maybe you even call it soccer, right? lol. You´re not even worth being abused.

  • @machierl Yeah sure.At least,Italy is the second one in nations and 1st about club's trophies in Europe.I don't give a damn shit of Germany. This final was fixed.Get over it

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 I don´t have to get over anything as it feels just wonderful to have a successful football squad. It sometimes only is a little bit annoying and it feels itchy cos the seam of the three stars rasps my chest whenever I wear the shirt of our Mannschaft. And hey, I can understand you´re frustrated. Just saw you´re from Great Shitain, ha? Must suck completely to live on monkey island.....?! By the way, that round thing they always kick in the vids is called "ball" you loser!

  • @machierl Yes it's the only point i agree with you ''great shitain''.Unfortunately,i'm just living in London for my studies,it's not my nationality.Campioni del mundo, siamo noi testa di cazzo,e chiaro? Next time, check your mouth instead of my account.Italy ran over you and it pissed u off.4 stars and 48 club's trophies. You,loser

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 "Unfortunately I´m just living in London...." Wow, it must really suck to be Italian lol...

  • @machierl ''Unfortunately for you'' and your theory that i was english.Don't mind about Italians; We got the best girls, food, weather and football. You can't claim the same about Germany lol

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 Yeah, what a pity for me YOU live in England....as if it was more important to me than a sack of rice which is tilting over somewhere in China right now. I´ve seen your "beautiful" people in Croatia last week....there´s nothing more to say. Just go and try to save your country from drowning in debts.....your wonderful Italy´s facing some hard times. It completely depends on Germany and France. But you can´t expect anything else from a people that votes a guy like Berlusconi

  • @machierl Yeah. But we aren't the only one. It's one part of the Europe agreement to help each other.Claiming that Italian's people had voted Berlusconi is too easy.Like if i was saying that your people cheered for Hitler, killed 6 millions of Jews and are still regarded as the country which wrecked the whole Europe.Berlusconi wasn't the worst, that's why we voted for him.And now Italian people hate him.Everybody can be fouled and make mistakes.Specially when a guy owns the TV and radios in Italy..

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 Well it's not exact that european country should help each other. I'm french and I think that it's a good idea but only if every country accept an european governance. You can not do your own thing in your place and then ask for help when you are burn by your own fire. In France we will be in deep shit very soon and this is hard for people to accept to give their money for other one. They would like to keep it for their own sake.... AND FUCK MATERAZZI ! long live pirlo.

  • @TeeloSeyna I agree. But Sarkozy as well,he sent money in Africa to support french army like in Lybia instead of looking after his own country. All these fucking corrupted goverments which use to chase after American wills make me sick.Berlusconi is the same piece of shit.We should focuse on Europe and make African countries breathe, live by themselves and don't kill everybody on the behalf of americans. They just care about the Oil.France and Italy will come back soon;next target; EURO 2012

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 Your shitty economy is going to take you and your crumbled up buildings down.

  • @Mudig Lol Turkish take over in your country and you would like to teach me how to develop my economy? Mind your own business,i don't need lessons especially from a german in football

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 Turkish? They don't even make 3% of the population. Grasping at straws my man...you're grasping.

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 In 2010 Italy lost to Slovakia and didn't even make it past group stage. If there is one thing to laugh at; it's how far Italy have fallen since winning the cup and how crappy the Italian economy has become ultimately making almost all the clubs in Italy in debt.

  • @Mudig The clubs in Italy recovered,we don't spend as more as we used to.We failed in 2010 but now we are qualified for Euro2012, we have beaten the WorldChampion even though it was a friendly match and we will prove that we're back on the right track.About economy,we need to get rid of Berlusconi.Anyway, lost to group stage or in world cup final is the same for me,i don't give a damn to be as regular as you are.Only the title is worth the deal

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 I expected you to say something stupid like that. I'm so sure that's all you cared about. Italy can't even destroy the Faroe Islands. I'd be worried if I were you. These old bastards will struggle in the Euros. The way Italy defeated the world champions was the same way AC Milan tied Barcelona. It was a pathetic, fearful display. Also, an Italian discussing about diving is like an oxymoron.

  • @Mudig Lol your mind is still stuck in the WC 2010.From this team, only Pirlo and Buffon are remaining. We are back on track man,we will show u once again.Anyway,it would be better for you to avoid us because it might be very painful again....AS USUAL i would say hahahaha.A German trying to teach an Italian how to win or play football is like the icing on the cake,You couldn't parody it because it's too obviously funny

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 One thing is for sure is you only won the world cup through penalties. Football is the only thing your pathetic country has left to clinch on and even that is slowly going away. Let's not forget that the Serie A lost a spot in the CL to the Bundesliga. Let's not forget that Inter lost to a Turkish team who wasn't even suppose to be there last week IN ITALY. Small town Italy doesn't have a real economy and cannot compete.

  • @MudigDon't forget Italian teams got 12 Champions league, thedoble than your pathetic country.Don't forget who won the final between an italian team and a german 1 year ago.u won in 1990 thanks to a fake penalty and u dare to judge the way we won.Even in 1954,some germans seekers have disclosed yr players were doped, few months ago.Don't forget we are 3times World champions in Volley as well and i don't see any German team in Rugby lol.I'm just looking forward than Italy shut your mouth once again

  • @MrBruntenebreux0211 It's just so sad that this is the best shit you can come up with. Don't forget we are the most successful European Champions. Don't forget your country is slowly turning into a wasteland. Don't forget the foreign influence you guys had in your champions league success. If German clubs wanted to spend money, then they would. Then they would be successful in the CL. It's all about money, no pride at all.

  • @Mudig We were already ahead your country before the nineties and the rising of money. If it was all about the money,England would have won more than us the last decade. We have been rewarded of 3 CL and 2 for them. Not only pride, skills as well ;)

  • the challenge is just awful

you just can't do that sort of tackle in football

  • brutal foul, after which Klinsmann got cancer

  • Cheating bastard.

  • Sorry, but while I do think Monzon should have been carded, so should of Klinsmann for his overreaction to the tackle, can you say dive???

BOTH should have been given a yellow card!

  • I don't see the dive. I see that the ball is long gone and Monzon tackles Klinsmann feet-ahead. This is at least dangerous play, more likely a deliberate and serouis foul.

  • The argentinian payer deserved the red card

  • I don't know what was worse; the dive or the writhing on the ground afterwards.

FIFA should allow refs to red card players for such behavior.

  • @DanielSong39 The worst thing is that he is actually hit hard below the right knee and you are an idiot if you don't see that.

  • played it perfectly. but it does look like his right foot was clipped on his jump

  • He could have been great for Barcelona.

  • @TorgeistLLN Agree! 110%

  • i think daniel alves watched this video before UCL, that's why pepe got a red card

  • Looking at the replay at :47, I don't see how this can be anything except a red card. Retarded blind youtube comments as usual being thumbed up, as usual.

  • Referee was blind. Looks like Dani Alves learns this from Klinsmann, the worst moment in Klinsmann's career I am not proud of. But masafa1990 is right, The attempt was on the leg, However, Klinsmann must be shown yellow card also for theatrical move. Not like Barce-Real incident, the attempt was on the ball, same direction and clearly trying to get the ball.

  • @LouisXIV1986 i dont think his theatrical act was on purpose...you see the way he fall......right on the lungs.....i bet anyone would rolled over just like he did...

  • dirty german

  • pause at 0:31 the attempt was on the leg not the ball and very clear..

  • codesal=shit!

  • fish

  • clearly a red card. just the attempt of breakinganother ones legs is worth a red card, believe me

  • That was a beautiful dive.

  • Does anyone know if they caught the sniper? jajaja

  • In the words of "Alex Ferguson" TYPICAL GERMANS!

  • yido prick

  • Sure he dives, but if he didn't jump over, Klinsmann juste loses his leg. It's a dirty tacle.

  • argentina deserved it for their hand of god

  • are you kidding me?

So sad these kind of stupid behaviour soccerplayers are very arrogant not realising that they have are a roll model.

Only looking for more salary and diving

  • @vivahollandia777 more salary? the two best players in the world (messi and ronaldo) are only making 10 mil a year. Other sports like baseball would crush tht. shh

  • that's klinsmann style

  • Dive or not I love the way the referee takes the red card out and points outside of the field for Monzon to leave.

  • I don't know if he should have got an Olympic Gold for Freestyle Diving or an Oscar for that performance. Maybe both!! Disgraceful, cheating Germans!!!!!

  • @nckweeks that was them from 1980 to about 94...just a bunch of dirty cheats...the only time i saw that they got what they deserved was when Voeler was suspended for the final for a dirty tackle.

  • Oscar worthy

  • pause at 0.00

    hold left arrow key

    press up arrow key

you are now playing snake - enjoy

    Like if this worked :)

  • @andylnnon Wow, this really works.

  • Is there better footage of the game?

Judging by this footage I would say that he DID touch him and while running and jumping with this speed, you fly and fall like Klinsmann did.. also: being overdramatic is absolutely normal for football players..

  • klinsmann is diving like a maniac

i dont know if monzon touch the foot of klinsmann

    klinsmann you re a loser

  • This is a red card as clear as it gets.

Any other claim is just stupid.

  • clear red card, obviously he was aiming his legs not ball

  • The tackle was late and studs were up. Textbook red card. Anyone who disagrees must habitually hate the Germans.

  • @mobjack Utter TOSH. Yes, the challenge was late, but I've seen only yellows given for similar a hundred times. It was Klinsmann's reaction which was pathetically over the top and which turns people against him in this case. Look at him spasm on the pitch! What a clown. A brilliant player though, and that's the worst part about it.

  • @ShizuokaDolphin Maybe he was trying to turn you on with that spasm?

  • @rascalMatt17 He clearly turned the ref on. :D

  • @mobjack Wouldn't have happened in the 60's, he would have just ended up death by hacked to bits...shame that isn't the case, no need for the reaction though regardless of the reckless challenge.

  • @mobjack oh yeah completely right even when he jumped over hm his studs followed his shin to try hurt him

  • I RECON IT'S A DANGEROUS TACKLE BUT FUUUCK, HE DIDN'T TOUCH HIM, STRAIGHT RED???? DUBIOUS PENALTY ANOTHER EXCUSABLE RED FOR A GRABBING...KRAUTS BOUGHT THIS GAME!!!

  • @boss180888 Tackle??? Dude, in a tackle there is a BALL involved.

  • At first look it looks like a real dive but when you look at 0:44 it's clear that the Argentinian's challenge is far too late, and his extended foot is actually going in the direction opposite of where the ball is... As if targeting Klinsmann's leg. A clear red card, good decision by the referee.

  • @Rednasyl28 Yep. Intension to do something dirty was there. Touched Klinsman or not doesn't matter IMHO. So you right buddy, im with you on this one.

  • textbook red card....yes klinsman may have exaggerated, but no matter what klinsmann did the argentine would still have recieved a red card...that was a very dangerous attempt at a tackle

  • Chrsytal clear red card. The defender goes with both legs after the striker after the ball is long gone. Kinsmann just jumped to avoid have his legs broken.

  • 100% foul, no doubt.

Entonces, gracias Senor Codesal!!

  • As someone who doesn't support either team and hates diving, it looked like there was contact. It doesn't take much contact if a player is jumping over another to rotate the jumper in the air like that. I'm just not sure a red card was called for. Klinsmann certainly did flop around once he was down. I'd say free kick, maybe a yellow.

  • fuck , only Krasic was suspended , that is injustice ....

    GO SERBIA !!!

  • Sucks that the U.S. couldn't get this guy and instead got stuck with Bradley as manager. At least with Klinsman we might have been able to flop our way past Ghana instead of the other way around.

    Also, lol at the ref.

  • I swear to god i thought that referee is the gay one who acts u know...

  • THE REFFERE was so funny

  • No no no..look the right foot of argentine player, he touches the kilnsmanns right foot...look better, its true

  • @asfabio in football when little contact like that happens between two players there is no faul...especialy no red card

  • MOST OF ALL IN THAT VIDEO...

I LOVE THE STYLE OF THE REFFERE

WHEN HE IS SHOWING THE RED CARD!!!

    (CHECK IT)

  • Pro diver is pro.

  • shlaaaaaa5 kbeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer !!!

  • 0:13 the way the ref shows the red card..... how GAY was that??????

  • see how short the short was. so gay.

  • haha klinsmann what a legend..just purely for the fact it's argentina :) nice one jurgen

  • WHERE THE FUCK WAS THE LINESMAN ON THIS??!!!

  • wtf lol

  • Give this man an Oscar!

  • You don't always have to actually hit a player or brake his leg to get a red card. His intention when he did the slide tackle was clearly to hurt the other player and the ref was right to give him a red card.

  • Sure freekick but no card

  • now, i'm english so i'd say as a football fan, i'd be pretty neutral considering the rivalry with both nations. firstly, the ref was right to send the guy off because the tackle was the argentinian defender trying to take out klinsmann, no intention of going for the ball. however, klinsmann should have also been sent off because he was looking for the foul and made a hell of a dive to get it (plus that seizure of a reaction was just awful to watch :P)

  • The defender made no effort in going for the ball and was only sliding in looking to take out Klinsmann's leg, which Klinsmann avoided. Regardless if the tackle actually made contact, it should still be a red card.

If I go to punch you but I miss, does that mean I don't get a red card? Obviously I still do, same with the incredibly reckless tackle

  • @dbeckham7890 you are right! I hate how people think that you have to actually make contact for someone to get a red card.

  • after watching over and over, i think he did hit him on the right leg. Despues de mirarlo varias veces en camara lenta yo creo que si lo toca en la pierna derecha.

  • @chichipotle lol love ur name haha.

  • I'm not sure it was a dive, I think he was trying to leap the tackle. Besides, if someone made a tackle like that on you , would you have played on? Didn't think so.

  • le disparo un francotirador! aleman de mierda

  • I can't see if there is contact or not, the quality is a bit bad.

  • At most it's a yellow. Monzon went in spikes high and was not playing the ball. It was a dangerous play. However, he didn't deserve a red.

  • If klinsmann doesnt roll around like a little baby monzon would not have even been booked. in italia 90 the more you acted the more the other player got punished. complete disgrace by klinsmann.

  • Klinsmann was well known for diving. In fact he was so good at it he could have competed in the Olympics as well as international football. On tope of that he could make a meal out of the landing and roll about in fake agony. As well as the Olympics and international football he could have been famous as an actor in Hollywood due to his performances. I expect he'd have won a few Oscars too.

  • Yes it was a bad challenge, but he made no contact at all. none! klinsman should have been red carded for the seizure like motion

  • @Eaglesfanmd Are you stupid? You didn´t see a contact? At 0:48 you can clearly see the foul.

  • @iwik3to16 Biased German, im looking at 0:48 no contact what so ever, nor at at any other part of this video

  • @Eaglesfanmd You can´t see a foul, because you are an idiot.

  • @iwik3to16 no because even though im german like you im not whacked out of my mind with bias. i don't see things that aren't there.

  • @Eaglesfanmd I don´t care if you are german or not. It was an foul. You didn´t see one, you are an idiot.

  • @iwik3to16 Im not going to lower myself to your standards and call you an idiot, but you must be seeing things if you think their was contact on klinsmann

  • @Eaglesfanmd bla bla bla, suelze of an idiot.

  • @Eaglesfanmd I put klinsman up there with the likes of C. Ronaldo...the gay! actually Klinsmann was less skilled...the sad part was that as much as he dived, he also was very dirty when he tackled guys. Him and Voler were absolutely atrocious and some of the Italians also, like the old gung ho Baresi. The other shody player of that era was Batistuta, but at least he had some form of a skilll....

  • @Eaglesfanmd its a bad tackLe and KLINSMAN hit his head hard!!!!

  • @Eaglesfanmd It's amazing how stupid people can be. This guy calls a video "Klinsmann's dive" when in this very video you can clearly see (in both slowmotions) that he is hit badly right under the right knee. Idiots

  • @phantasiehamster haha i love that all fans of their team justify a players dive by inventing contact that does not exist

  • @Eaglesfanmd I am German that's true, doesn't mean I am wrong about this one. Watch the vid, watch the slowmotions. Klinsmann is hit hard just below the right knee. Look at the way his right leg snaps back following the contact. Watch how he is pointing on his right knee. It's funny how you argue that I am biased in this matter, when in reality the ones who are biased here are the Germany haters who call a video "Klinsmann's dive" when you can actually SEE in this very video that he is hit.

  • Clear foul.. Very dangerous tackle, red card well deserved. He didn't go for the ball, he violently tackled to take out Klinsmann.. Just look at how high Klinsmann jumped to avoid the tackle and from how high he fall to the ground..

  • It is NOT a foul. There was NO contact. But it IS definitely IS a bad challenge.

Klinsmann DID dive, but to avoid getting hurt. That's normal. Its just that the cheeky bastard threw in a couple of rolls after avoiding it, so it seems he dove just to get that red card. That part probably got people fuming.

  • dive? are you guys retarded or just blind?

ok that short "spasm" he had after the foul was unnecesary xD but it still was a horrible foul and a very well deserved red card.

  • i love the little spasm at the end XD

  • cheaters and talkers, we are going to wipe their assess today as in 86
