  • Carl Lewis the best to ever do it!!! Period. A monster in his prime...Yes!!!!

  • carl lewis ?? XDDD only a ridiculous clown, one of the many druged cheaters inside

the US track & field team who robbed & stole for decades tens of olympic medals !!ù

Doped cheater at LA 84, superdoped lieing cheater in Seoul 88 ....!!!

    Carl who ......???!!!

I really laugh to tears when some 1way blind fans or a clueless dumbs calls this

doped comedian " the best of all times " ...XDDDD!!

In the 200m , f.i., he was not even 50% of such an outclass & CLEAN champ as Mennea !!!

  • @Trulyloyale If you made any sense, you might have a compelling argument. Instead, you come off as a blithering idiot.

  • U-S-A! U-S-A!

  • LOL thomas jefferson

  • As effortless and beautiful as Lewis was as a sprinter, I don't think any Lewis would get close to Bolt. Bolt is from another planet. But, for pure aesthethics, Lewis was

    the best of all time.

  • too bad mennea was bumped and lost his balance coming off the turn...... he could have got a medal

  • Carl Lewis was the best of all time

  • bolt

  • Ben johnson was a cheater,a doper.Lewis took what everyone else used till 1990 or so,you can't say he was doped at that time.

Carl Lewis was the best long jumper ever and a 200m natural talent. With nowadays tracks, shoes and trainings,he'd be a challenge for Usain Bolt too.

  • I should also point out that Lewis' primary accomplishment was as a jumper. He was Olympic champion 4 times and was undefeated for 10 years in the long jump and has posted the majority of the jumps over 28 and a half feet. The fact that in '88 he was found to have the same banned stimulants in his system as over a hundred other athletes doesn't explain how he dominated all of them for a decade and a half.

  • ohh no you cant, sorry that would never hapen, by the way those words are not in by vocab, you should call carlisha and ask that yuestion, am shore that spike heel wearing panty shorts steroid freak wont mind lol.

  • "spike heel wearing panty shorts"? Um, ok, whatever.

My basic point is Lewis may have cut corners here and there, but he wasn't a steroid cheat. He had TREMENDOUS natural advantages, beginning w/ his height, much like Usain Bolt. He was a superstar from high school through his mid thirties.... One thing I'll give you, he was a big-time jerk and prima donna the whole way thru... Now, who's this carlisha?

  • carl lewis took tested positive for 3 cocktails of DRUGS at the 1988 US OLYMPIC TRIALS, AT THE 1987 PAN AM GAMES THE us team got up and run for there life when they got word that the testers were comming.

lewis openly admitted in 2003 that he tested positive for DRUGS and said WHO CARES.

saying that he was one of the 100s of US athletes that got away with it.

almost every one on that 88 team was DOPED.

I THINK YOU SHOULD READ MORE LOL

    .

now who is the dumb asss?

  • You are the dumb ass, to answer your question.

"Drugs" takes in such a wide swath of stuff that it barely means anything. Taking banned stimulants is nowhere near as performance-enhancing as a program of steroids. It's more akin to the "greenies" baseball players took for decades, until the recent ban on them.

Clearly, the American olympians were on stimulants that year. That does not mean they were on steroids. By the way, fuck u.

  • lewis is the biggest drug cheat ever

  • How do you figure, dumb-ass? Do you know the difference between a stimulant and a steroid? The versions of ephedrine that Lewis tested positive for are found i pretty much any over-the-counter cold medicine and are legal in most every major sport except track. Was that cheating? Maybe. Was it anything like taking anabolic steroids? Not close. Go kill yourself

  • To spell it out for you: Ephedrine is widely used in the NBA, baseball, soccer and tennis. It was only banned in the late 90's in the NFL. It had only been made illegal in T&F shortly before Lewis and the other Americans tested pos.

Stimulants don't do what steroids do: They don't increase strength or stamina or help recovery time.

Their benefits are miniscule by comparison.

Available in cold meds, lots of people have some ephedrine in their system at any one time

  • awesome athlete.

awesome voice-over. Like Vincent Price on Thriller!

  • David Perry is the narrator.

  • Could someone please tell me who the marvellous voiceover man is. I've been trying to find out his name for years. Is it Bud Greenspan himself? Thank you.

  • Carl Lewis was looking as if he was in slow motion.

  • Kirk Baptiste was the strongest adversary of Lewis in LA 84.

  • this is a good video if u lyke track watch this

  • we used to own track n field! had some disasters this year.

  • I love these Official Olympic Films, the narrator's voice just keeps you captivated to what's going on at all times!
