please I know you already explained the tunning in the comment section, but I didn't understand, could you specify which tuning are you using from the lower to the higher string ? like open g: DGDGBD.
@TomHunterUK welp i am sorry to hear that you sold your guitar. i feel that real music comes from how you feel, i dont just feel that way about the blues but all music. most music irritates these days. half the time i am trying to feel what there singing about. or am i being wierd? idk
Hi, do you mean you 'Laughed Out Loud' at it, or actually liked it, I'm not sure. I retro fitted it, not without trepidation, but sounds sweet plugged in, to me anyhow.
So nice to see that blues playing , ive got a acoustic western too now from cort really nice guitar with a bottleneck , and learning this kind of slide blues:)
Sorry for a slow reply, I've been away working (truck driving containers out of Felixtstowe, Southampton & Thamesport, mobile log-in not operational at present.
A proper answer via messages on the way. Prepare for a year of slide learning. That should do it.
Start with the first couple of bars of the riff you're after getting down, listen through those few bars several times until they are imprinted on your 'ear memory', the start copying slow. Basically, break it down into little chunks that are easy to remember, I started by getting down the classic intro to Dust My Broom.
Keep it simple, break it down, keep it slow until 'muscle memory' is produced, don't be impatient, it'l come.
Yes. If remember rightly it was dropped 2 semi-tones, maybe 3 with .015 top E and the rest in proportion, and tuned to the chord E which gives the lovely open shape chords for the IV and V, which used in combination with the slide and fingerpicking makes it sound really fat but distinct.
Excellent! I just added your video to my favorites. I've been a guitar player for 17 years or so, but I recently bought a Fender FR-48 Steel Resonator, and i really want to learn to play it with open tuning and bottleneck. It's a whole new world for me.

@sniperbait1000 Well maybe I'm just hiding it well.
Joke: What's the difference between a 12" pizza & a guitarist?
You can feed a family of two witha 12" Pizza.
I had to sell that guitar to pay bills etc.
I knew it when I was shooting the video and hoping it would look ok.
Thanks for caring enough to comment :-)

well played sir. You sure know how to rock the aluminum guitar.
Is it very hard to control the slide thing with your pinky? I understand you have to place it at a certain angle
