I just read that Northwest flight attendants and their union are considering suing delta and the designer because the red wrap dress only goes up to a size 18. Come do we really want to need a woman any larger than a size 18 walking around the airport or walking up and down the plane bumping our elbows with her love handles and putting their large behind in our face as she close the luggage compartments before takeoff.
The only thing that this merger did was put Northwest employees out of their jobs. This I know first hand. Kudos to you Delta, for making people's lives miserable in this economic situation that we are currently in. Never again will I fly another Skyteam airline. Once again, thanks Delta.
The employees that were still with Northwest were working their for a long time due to new employees being laied off. Now after working 30-40 years with Northwest they are being told that they are not needed because Delta is more important. I agree with you.
Delta is going to be the biggest and best airline in the world.I fly for them, they have a huge fleet, not to mention all the flights we have daily, they pay great compared to other airlines, and Delta, has been the best for almost 80 years now, why not now ? No matter whios running it, Delta listens to its employees opinions, thats what I like. Plus NW, is a great airline that offers many flights, and with the combination of Delta, there would be over 1200 aircrafts available for flights,Delta!
this meger is good for delta workers but not the northwest workers. doug steenland just wants his 19 million dollars and wants to leave. talk about a rat (and looks like one too). besides this new airline wont work. delta northwest are falling apart and southwest is hiring!! southwest is gonna win in the fight of the airlines. southwest is building routes as northwest is cutting routes. thanks alot Bush!! along with our rising fuel prices. i miss the old northwest hanger in atlanta.
delta better expand service in minneapolis especially international air service once the economy gets stronger and fuel prices lower. northwest is dropping service from minneapolis to paris non-stop and i'm not liking it. all northwest is doing is focusing on detroit and seattle in terms of international service (yes i do know detroit is northwest's world gateway)
Write to your congressmen and tell them to OPPOSE this barbaric merge that will result in higher fares, JOBS LOST and people on the unemployment lines. Do not sponsor monopoly!! Stand against a wave of mergers that would result as a consequence of this delta-northwest merge. Speak up! Send emails and letter to the Dept. of Justice, Transportation and Congressmen!!

Several Star Alliance members:
Singapore Airlines
Thai Airlines
ANA
Air New Zealand
You think Star Alliance is crap? I was talking about the whole group. Singapore was voted best airline in 2008.

what will happen to all of the routes to asia from northwest?
legendassain9210 3 years ago
The routes will still be the same. The name is just changing. You can still get to Japan from Detroit and Minneapolis.

NW has anti trust ammunities with DL and a few other skyteam carriers.
rendezvous65 3 years ago
also tere is very little route overlap so this is not a monopoly. There is still plenty of carriers out there.
