@solution246 Yes, the law was used to show us our sin, no they are not separate. The Jews (today) have all 613 laws categorized together, 365 negative/248 positive. In Duet 17:18-19 they are commanded to keep the whole law after all had been given. Heb 10:4 says that it never took away sin. And all the commandments were re given in the NT except the Sabbath. The commandments are good but have nothing to do with salvation.
@Lewiski461 I believe most of what you said, but realize that there are 2 different laws in the Bible, the 10 commandments and the sacrificial (levitical) laws. without the 10 commandments we wouldn't know what sin is. It's job is to tell us when we have sinned. then, the sacrificial laws come in to play. The sacrificial laws we designed to remove the sin. It is these laws that Jesus came to fulfill. These laws are changed. Heb. 10 talks about these laws, not the commandments. Read 1 John 2:1-5

This is true, but not by obeying it through the obeying of the flesh, but by realizing the spiritual applications that point to Jesus. God didn't change, but the law did, Heb 10:9-10. Ultimately Jesus did everything needed for salvation and the law was fulfilled in His doing, not ours. As Romans 13:10 puts it, love is the fulfilling of the law, Jesus's love for lost sinners, not for the law itself.

Why would God put something in the 10 commandments that only would be abolished later? It doesn't make sense. He said, "I am the Lord and I change not." When I was a voice major in college in the 50's I sang this, although in a much higher key and prettier harmony, in a revival service where Dr. G. Earl Guinn, president of Louisiana college, was to preach. I sang this song right before the message and when I finished he got up to preach he said he was planning to preach on another topic but after my song he said he was going to preach on angels. I was thrilled.

If you can find on the Bible that I should keep sunday as my rest day, I will start keeping the sunday... if you find on the Bible that Jesus abolished the Sabbath (saturday) on the cross, then i won't keep any day... Read John 5:24 the believer HAS eternal life & the Greek there speaks of something permanent. Read Romans 8:1 the NO there in the Greek tense speaks of not now not ever with no possibility of condemnation--meaning death penalty. Therefore no chance of that final dealth penalty. The beleiver's fate has been sealed (2 Cor 1:22 Eph 1:13) . So a person is judged already if they are not a believer (John 3:18) Yes no man will be your judge. So is Christ your judge or is He your Savior?
I have studied the doctrines or SDA and compared them with what the bible says and the bible says completely different to what the SDA doctrines say, its apparent the SDA doctrines are all man made, stemming from pride as usual as all cults do.

Besides God says in Revelation 12:17 that Gods people are those who keep the testimony of Jesus which is the spirit of prophecy (Rev 19:10) and keep the commandments of Jesus including the fourth one.

Dont know bout the pride thing but the doctrines yea. We worship on a sunday cause the apostle did so. After Jesus resurection, they gathered everyday and its only on the sunday that Jesus appeared unto them. Read the account in the gospels and u would see. Thats unless they took in out in thier bible. So while its not law but it was a standard and constantine had nothing do with the worship on a sunday all he did was make it a public holiday. Do these Seventh day adventists know what they are singing. their prophet teaches that they are on probation and do not have salvation and cannot know they have salvation until their name has come up in the investigative judgement. That's by design. The SDA church, as a whole, is a little neurotic about attaching its name to certain ministries we sponsor. Why this is, I haven't a clue. It's something I don't like because it makes us look ashamed of something. My local church doesn't hesitate to identify itself as Seventh-Day Adventist.
