  • @atv9386 it is a 97 and is not true dual. it was stock exhaust manifolds and pipe until the cat (these trucks only have 1). That was replaced with a hi flow cat and then a 1 in 2 out thrush welded series muffler. then 2.5" dual pipes to 3" rolled tips. It sounded really good in my opinion, i no longer have the truck though.

  • What do you guys think is better? Duals that point straight back or duals that point outward like this one?

  • @Alacoque3030 obviously i personally like the angled exit but i think it depends on the truck.

  • Did you notice a big sound increase after the hiflow cats???? And did your check engine light come on.

  • @icetitan6 it was warm actually. i had just gotten back from a drive. the reason for the smoke in the beginning is that this was my second video. first time i shut it off too quickly cause the camera tipped. that left some unburnt fuel in the cylinders/ exhaust which was my bad. thanks for the input.

  • This sounds pretty good. What is the flow rate like? I have a '91 Ramcharger with the cat. converter removed. 'had dual magnaflows installed and run a K&N air filter. Pipes are exiting in front of the rear wheels. Make sure all the sensors are working properly. I changed out the coolent temperature sensor and now I'm getting about 85 -90 miles highway on a quarter tank of gas. I was pleasantly suprised.

  • Is that true duals?because I took my 1999 5.2 dakota to the exhaust place and they said they couldn't do true duals, and that they could only take off the muffler and make a Y-pipe then dual straights off it that way....

  • @favreisthebest4 Yeah they told me the same. Apparently you need headers to do true duals. Its a one in two out thrush muffler with a high flow cat. i'm pretty satisfied with the sound, its loud.

  • @silva216 i got a 4.7l 2002 durango and i got a si/so flowmaster super 44. thats it. i weant a high flow cat but i'm told it wont do anything? is this a lie? also would you say it makes a big difference in sound? yours sounds great though! but you think i should get a high flow cat?

  • Do you find a big differance with the Hi-Flows Cats?

  • They were put on at the same time I got the exhaust done so personally I don't know the difference. But I have heard that they do make quite a difference in the sound.

  • awesome when i added my pipe intake e3 plugs and chipi went from 12mpg to 15 mpg and 16 to 17 hw and thats in the winter!

  • a big help for yalls problem put a k&n filter set on there it adds 5 to 6 mpg i knw how ya feel man about the 14 mpg it sucks

  • well if i drive it nice i can get a little over 500km to a tank which is about 83 litres if im not mistaken. so thats just under 16.6L/100km... as long as youre canadian lol

  • thanks dude. yeah that would be pretty sweet... im not sure how much it would cost in the states though.. im from canada. but i can imagine if you found a good one at a wrecker or even a rebuilt and did most of the work yourself it would not be too bad... around 2000 maybe less?

  • I would take that challenge even without the engine mods! 230hp was enough, 280 is so much fun! Not enough to beat a S/C Grand Prix though :[ I tried.. new vids soon

  • Be easy Alberto, the last burnout I did didnt require brakes, didnt require oil under the tires.. and was 270ft long.. if u had a Ferrari I could understand being a pecker head.. but u have no excuse with your single cab p.o.s.. u dont see other Dakota's enough to know this is a 5.2L just by the sound of the engine.. and the day a V6 w/ exhaust has enough power to rock the truck while revving is the day I hit the gas and my 4.7 cuts a flip.. nice 5.2 bro, way to represent Dakota's!
